## **Living Systems**
**Teleopoiesis** is the capacity of autopoietic systems to **mechanically** shape, modify, or prepare their environment in a goal-oriented manner, establishing **external conditions** that support the achievement of their purposes.

In this context, teleopoiesis complements the self-sustaining nature of autopoietic systems (autopoiesis) and their capacity to foster life, beauty, and well-being (eupoiesis) by adding a purposeful interaction with their surroundings to ensure the realization of desired outcomes.However, **self-aware systems** have the freedom to cooperate with or resist their teleopoietic mechanisms.
