- Two Wild Uncles Boating to the Beat
- A Short Story
- by Zipzapadam
- Sharon Chan looked at the ribbed knife in her hands and felt active.
- She walked over to the window and reflected on her snooty surroundings. She had always loved grey Oxford with its narrow, nice nooks. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel active.
- Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Rick Gloop. Rick was a spiteful doctor with wobbly feet and solid eyes.
- Sharon gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a stupid, stable, squash drinker with charming feet and scrawny eyes. Her friends saw her as a cloudy, concerned carer. Once, she had even helped a sad deaf person cross the road.
- But not even a stupid person who had once helped a sad deaf person cross the road, was prepared for what Rick had in store today.
- The moon shone like drinking blue bottles, making Sharon puzzled.
- As Sharon stepped outside and Rick came closer, she could see the orange glint in his eye.
- "I am here because I want a resolution," Rick bellowed, in a creepy tone. He slammed his fist against Sharon's chest, with the force of 4495 horses. "I frigging hate you, Sharon Chan."
- Sharon looked back, even more puzzled and still fingering the ribbed knife. "Rick, I love you," she replied.
- They looked at each other with stressed feelings, like two hilarious, hard hamsters sleeping at a very bold wedding, which had indie music playing in the background and two wild uncles boating to the beat.
- Sharon studied Rick's wobbly feet and solid eyes. Eventually, she took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, but I can't give you a resolution," she explained, in pitying tones.
- Rick looked surprised, his body raw like a keen, knobby knife.
- Sharon could actually hear Rick's body shatter into 3156 pieces. Then the spiteful doctor hurried away into the distance.
- Not even a beaker of squash would calm Sharon's nerves tonight.
- THE END
