"The Claws of the Two Divines", as we call them, according to these translations we managed to gleam from recent findings among the ruins of the Atlantean city complex off the coast of the Chinese continent. Now, as I've covered in earlier chapters of this book I've been working on, Gamera and Irys, the two P.E.M.F.s created by the Atlanteans, represent the two deities they revere as sacred. The god of life, and the god of death.

Obviously, many artifacts were created in such reverence. The most important of them, however, are these peculiar amulets. There have only ever been two kinds found, and I don't think that's a coincidence. One looks like one half of a yin-yang symbol, only it's a steel grey colour. A bit of the 'moral grey line', you could say!

......Okay, that was bad, even for me. Moving on. The other amulet type looks more like a bulbous stone, with a sort of hook coming off of it, and is pure black in coloration. Both of these amulet varieties are said to allow a high priest to communicate with the two deities. The more curved yin-yang-looking one for Gamera is called "The Shield of Gamera", and the hooked bulbous one for Irys is known as "The Spear of Irys". Now, I don't buy into that nonsense about communicating with the gods, but I do find the creation of these amulets to be quite fascinating.

It appears as though they emit an unknown form of non-standard DE energy, different than what we've normally seen. Certainly something we'll have to investigate further. As well, their atomic makeup doesn't match any known element. Scientists have theorized for years that the Atlanteans made use of a mystical metal called "Orichalcum". Though I highly doubt this metal is mystical, it is most certainly an exotic element we've yet to properly discover, and exhibits similarly mysterious properties.

Now we're getting into some really mystical BS. Okay, I shouldn't call it that, seeing as how I kinda have my own ideas about what the Atlanteans were actually describing. This idea is based around the idea of all living beings having souls. I'll buy into that, knowing that 'souls' most likely refers to the non-standard DE energy present in all living beings.

The texts say that there's a specific technique used to create connections between the souls of two separate beings, by way of one of the two varieties of sacred amulets. It's said that this technique will allow two beings to share nearly everything: experiences, feelings, memories, and other things. Ordinarily, I wouldn't pay much mind to that. However, I've noticed that there's an unknown form of communication between P.E.M.F.s, especially the likes of King Ghidorah, and even Irys himself.

It could be that there's a special manner of creating a communication channel between the specific non-standard DE energies of two separate individuals, and the Atlanteans managed to figure it out. We still have a lot more to discover about our universe.

I'm really excited about this! Non-standard DE energy is usually Anna's thing, but I just can't get enough of this! This could lead to breakthrough discoveries! Nearly all Atlantean technology is based around the usage of 'Mana', or "The Essence of the Earth", which is said to be the life energy of not just all the living things on the planet, but the planet itself.

When you think about it, the planet could be considered a living thing in a sense. The fact that the Shield of Gamera and the Spear of Irys both emit this unknown form of non-standard DE energy, despite being completely inanimate objects, proves that not just living beings can make use of the energy type. The Earth itself could very well emit this unknown form of energy as well, and we just haven't found out yet.

Add onto that the fact that Gamera and Irys are both said to have been brought to life using Mana, and we have some serious questions to ask ourselves. We're talking about bringing life to a completely artificial biological organism. Plus, we can't forget that, supposedly, these unknown non-standard DE energies are what allows the 'psychic links' to be formed between individuals.

It's clear that Atlantis was well-aware of the hidden intricacies of their world. We scoff at their terminology in calling these fundamental workings of the universe as uninformed and primitive, but the very fact that they managed to discover and utilize these universal workings means they understood much more than we do now. We should all take after them, and try to uncover the mysteries that dot our existence.

It's not as if it'll be the end of the world.
