my thought immediately went to artaud
i think because its the combination of the pathological hysterical elements and the really unsettling ritualistic elements like the dancing etc that are reminiscent of artaud
i think the scene where he kills the wall street guys, goes into the bathroom and dances, and then fucks the black harley quinn
is clearly like a transfiguration scene
hes made contact with an idea on the Outside and has become a man w/o qualities
which explains his ever increasing ability to "go with the flow" and things just working out
its because hes an enlighteneed being
one with the virtual
he realizes that gotham is based on nothing and becomes transformed from a tragedean to a comedian

3.bcuz i was thinking of it all like some sorta dark ritual where synchrony of events with omenic of his increasing transcendence

my reading of joker is about the descending layers of the virtual until it finally actualizes into the joker we know from our american lore
the Idea of Joker organizing these strange bouts of hysteria, madness, social inequality, etc.
into the pieces and where we know they fit
like bruce wayne, like his parents getting shot after the opera, etc.
so i guess it makes sense that he may not have fucked the black girl at the beginning
but he could have had he realized that the virtual is real, and then on that basis used it as a diagram to actualize it
instead of our society, which treats his connection w/ the virtual as a pathology, and produces a disciplinary apparatus which dislocates his ability to plug into the desiring-machines he needs to transform himself
ie his sinthome
which is tied together through the hysterical knot of his schizoid mother

because arthur is like a textbook hysteric
