  80. 06[21:00] * ~Ash 's face is a bit brighter than when you first arrived, but now its sort of gets somber again
  81. [21:00] <~Ash> "Hey... thanks for listening"
  82. 06[21:03] * Mayrah 's expression gradually turns to a smile "...didn't mean nothing by it."
  83. [21:03] <~Ash> "Even so."
  84. [21:04] <~Ash> "I've benn stuck in my head ever since... that"
  85. [21:04] <~Ash> "I havent been able to get out, locked in, like a prison"
  86. [21:04] <~Ash> "But witht his... I think maybe I can start taking a step out"
  87. [21:08] <~Ash> "so... thanks"
  88. [21:09] <Mayrah> "weren't nothing to it. Just, if you need anyone to talk to about... you know, promise you'll come to me."
  89. 06[21:10] * ~Ash nods with a smile "Yeah same to you, and if you need help with any of the lessons, just ask. I went through this once before you know."
  90. 06[21:11] * Mayrah nods tiredly and yawns.
  91. 06[21:12] * ~Ash chuckles "Why dont you get some sleep? tomorrows gonna be a big day for you."
  92. 06[21:13] * Mayrah passes out before even making an attempt to get in bed
  93. 06[21:14] * ~Ash sighs again and lifts the avian into the bed and throws some covers over her before shutting the lights off and going to bed herself feeling, for the first time in months, happy
  94. [21:22] <Saia> You're awoken as a loud roar shakes the building as a shadow breifly passes over your window. You can hear the voices heading off in the direction of the roar shouting all the while. One girl's seems to stick out amongs the others just from it's volume, "Get back here so I can punch you you giant lizard!"
  95. 06[21:23] * ~Ash groans and gets up rubbing her eyes
  96. 06[21:25] * Mayrah jolts upward from the noise
  97. 06[21:25] * ~Ash waves Mayrah down groggilly
  98. [21:25] <~Ash> "It's normal. wish they'd calm down a little in the morning, ugh"
  99. [21:29] <Saia> There's a knock on the door before a note is slid under it. A wax seal keeps the folded paper from opening
  100. 06[21:30] * Mayrah jumps out of bed and grabs the note. "are these also normal?"
  101. [21:34] <~Ash> "Yeah, it has details of whats going on and stuff"
  102. 06[21:35] * Mayrah breaks the seal open on the envelope and begins reading through it
  103. [21:38] <Saia> Dear Residents of Room 409,
  104. [21:38] <Saia> As much as it pains me to say this, your instructor for the day has decided to chase a dragon that got too close to the barrier and woke her up. She's expected to be back by 1300 so please use your time as you please until then.

  107. 06[21:40] * ~Ash reads over the shoulder
  108. [21:40] <~Ash> "ahhh well that explains the rude awakening huh?"
  109. [21:43] <Saia> A large flash comes in through the window as the building shakes from the resulting boom. Outside the window you see some scorch marks in the sand near the water. As if by magic some extra scripe appears on the paper.
  110. [21:43] <Saia> PS. The beach has now been cleared out if you so choose to use it
  111. 06[21:44] * Mayrah flinches from the sound of the boom
  112. 06[21:44] * ~Ash pats Mayrah "You kinda get used to it"

  116. 06[21:46] * ~Ash hesitates for a second "...huh... i didnt realize i had so much brown baggy clothes...:
  117. 06[21:47] * Mayrah nods, avoiding eye-contact with Ash, and blushing slightly.

  123. 06[21:51] * ~Ash digs and eventually finds a sole pair of ragged jeans, and a plain red t-shirt
  124. [21:53] <~Ash> "so... want me to show you around a bit since we're free?"
  125. [21:53] <Mayrah> "uh-huh
  126. 06[21:54] * Mayrah finishes buttoning on her red plaid shirt and fastens a belt on her denim shorts.
  127. [21:58] <~Ash> "Where'd you like to go first?"
  128. 06[22:00] * Mayrah 's stomach begins growling
  129. [22:00] <Mayrah> "...How 'bout the cafeteria?"
  130. [22:00] <~Ash> "ok"
  131. 06[22:03] * ~Ash leads the way, looking brighter than she had been in the last month and 15 days she'd been here, wear more vibrant clothes than the shabby browns and sweat pants that concealed her figure like she was trying to hide her figure, in many ways, she was like a different person, though in her head she was still very much afraid, and nervous, for Mayrah's sake>

  133. 06[22:05] * Mayrah timidly follows Ash, clinging to her backside like a young duck hatchling who had just imprinted on someone.

  135. [22:24] <Saia> The kitchen is likely the cleanest place you've seen in quite a while. Countertops with magitech ovens, sinks, and spice racks are scattered about the spotless tile floor. On one wall is a large iron door that opens to a oven that looks like it could fit several full grown cows, what it's used for is unknown to you. The opposite wall has but a single iron door with a window. Frost
  136. [22:24] <Saia> covers the inside of the glass and various frozen meats can be seen inside. There is another door on the wall across from you leading outside to some wooden benches and tables.
  137. [22:26] <Saia> Set on the nearest countertop is a box with a sign that says, "One per person". Inside are a pile of warm loafs of bread, steam still rising from the baked goods let you know that they are freshly baked.
  138. 06[22:27] * ~Ash walks up to it and takes one
  139. [22:30] <Saia> The crust cracks at the slightest touch revealing a soft and fluffy interior encompassed by the crunchy flakey exterior.
  140. 06[22:31] * Mayrah walks inside the kitchen and begins acquainting herself with the various things inside
  141. 06[22:31] * ~Ash munchs
  142. [22:31] <~Ash> "Hey, you shfould get thome bread" she says, mouth full
  143. [22:32] <Mayrah> "bread ain't a breakfast! ya need protein to start the day."
  144. 06[22:33] * Mayrah begins greasing a pan and places it on a stovetop, and then begins to look for eggs
  145. [22:34] <Saia> Taking a bite you can feel the bread crunch away with little resistence, the crust giving way to what feels as soft as a cloud, yet still substantial enough to start solidifying as you chew. You can taste a bit of citrus mixing with some chocolate that you didn't see before. It tastes amazing to say the least.
  146. [22:36] <~Ash> "Suit yourself, but you're missing out"
  147. [22:36] <Saia> Mayrah: You find them in the walk in fridge and notice another door that leads into what you assume to be the freezer. Some sausages have been set out nearby to defrost.
  148. 06[22:39] * Mayrah chops up a few sausages and cracks an egg into the pan, throwing the sausage bits in and stirring them up vigorously
  149. [22:40] <Saia> The oven is easy to operate. Knobs to control the heat and buttons with gyphs meaning fire to start the flames.
  150. 06[22:41] * Mayrah places the pan on a medium heat and continues to stur until the sausage bits brown and the eggs cook fully
  151. 06[22:41] * ~Ash leans against a wall and watches
  152. 06[22:46] * Mayrah turns off the heat and dumps the still-sizzling eggs and sausage onto two plates, serving one to Ash
  153. [22:46] <~Ash> "You sure?"
  154. 06[22:47] * Mayrah nods, already eating
  155. 06[22:47] * ~Ash takes it with a smile and chows down
  156. 06[22:49] * Mayrah smiles proudly and continues eating.
  157. 06[22:49] * Mayrah grabs a loaf of bread and takes a bite out of it afterwards
  158. [22:53] <Saia> As you eat a few others eventually wander into the kitchen grabbing their loaf and munching on it as they cook. Some eat their food right out of the pan as it cooks while others take their breakfasts out onto the tables.
  159. [22:53] <Saia> Most of them have probably been here for a few days which led them into this routine.
  160. 06[22:55] * ~Ash unconciously shrinks away from everyone else
  161. 06[22:56] * Mayrah places her plate into the sink before running off after Ash
  162. [22:56] <Saia> A few people stand out to you, one girl with what looks like claws instead of nails chose to skip the bread and instead eat a large amount of meat she baked in the oven. Another person who looks dazed and dizzy cooks a rather odd looking mashup of rice, meat, and onions. He lools like he has a headache.
  163. 06[22:58] * ~Ash has yet to finish her egg, and everyone else coming in has brought her nerves toa sufficient point that shes eating at a snails pace
  164. 06[22:58] * Mayrah sits down next to Ash, still nibbling on her piece of bread
  165. 06[23:03] * ~Ash flinches unconciously when she does
  166. [23:07] <Mayrah> "So, what's the plan now?"
  167. 06[23:07] * ~Ash jumps slightly "u-uh. w-wherever you want to go"
  168. [23:10] <Saia> The current time is 930
  169. [23:11] <Mayrah> "hmmm, wanna go to the beach for a bit?"
  170. [23:11] <~Ash> "s-sure"
  171. [23:13] <Mayrah> "I didn't pack a swimsuit though."
  172. [23:17] <~Ash> "t-they're in our r-room"
  173. [23:18] <Mayrah> "Oh, okay then."
  174. 06[23:20] * ~Ash sort of scurries out of the kitchen back tot he room
  175. 06[23:21] * Mayrah follows

  183. [23:54] <Saia> As you approach the beach the smell of salt hits you. Carried on a slight breeze coming from the ocean a mist of ocean water coats your faces.

  185. [23:55] <Saia> The scorch marks have disappeared, but you can still see some dead fish on the rocks, their mouths open revealing many rows of sharp teeth.
  186. 06[23:56] * ~Ash sort of kicks at one
  187. [23:56] <Saia> You get a small jolt from the leftover electricity
  188. [23:57] <Saia> The beach is mostly empty. The only other person is a succubus you think you saw on your floor a few times the previous night.
  189. 06[23:58] * LeAnn is laying facedown on a towel in the sand with her top off, though when she props herself up to wave her wings fold around to cover her chest
  190. 06[23:58] * ~Ash instantly begins to shy away
  191. [23:59] <LeAnn> "Oh geez, sorry, didn't mean to scare you or anything!"
