  1. 06[22:51] * Altea heads out with Medraut. "So what do you want to eat?"
  2. [22:52] <Ikiryo> Medraut shakes her head. "I don't know what you people eat. The bars in your food packs are dull."
  3. 01[22:53] <Altea> "Oh, let's get you some good food then. Let's see what's around here..."
  4. 06[22:53] * Altea checks to see what restaurants are in the area.
  5. [22:54] <Ikiryo> Hmm...all sorts of place...ooh, now THAT is interesting. There is a weightlifting/sparring contest nearby with food trucks about it.
  6. 01[22:55] <Altea> "Ooh, weightlifting competition! And food trucks! We're going, let me put my hammer away."
  7. 06[22:56] * Altea pulls the case off her back, undoing the clasps with her one hand, and putting the weapon back inside.
  8. 01[22:56] <Altea> "Don't need that, might get stopped by the enforcers if I'm just carrying that around."
  9. 01[22:58] <Altea> "Alright, let's go!" She grabs Medraut by the hand and half-drags her to the competition.
  10. [22:59] <Ikiryo> Medraut heads with her...doubly so when she starts to smell food. Altea can hear the sound of sparring as they arrive, weapons impacting weapons and energy blasts being thrown about.
  11. 06[23:00] * Altea gets food first, something fried. "I might have to move my cheat day to today."
  12. [23:01] <Ikiryo> Deep fried meat skewers look good (If a sometimes food) here. "Cheat day?" Medraut looks confused at that.
  13. 01[23:03] <Altea> "Oh, cause of my lifting and exercise routine, I need to control my diet. Cheat day is the day where I can eat stuff that's bad for me."
  14. [23:03] <Ikiryo> "...I just eat what I can get." She shrugs.
  15. 06[23:06] * Altea gets her a pile of fried food, and one for herself.
  16. [23:07] <Ikiryo> She very rapidly starts to munch on it...one she realizes not to bite the skewer. "Oww."
  17. 01[23:09] <Altea> "Oh, yeah, don't bite those."
  18. [23:10] <Ikiryo> "Is this metal? How can you have enough metal to put food on it?" She looks to her own stone knife.
  19. 01[23:10] <Altea> "Oh, we have lots of metal. You're gonna see a lot more real soon."
  20. [23:11] <Ikiryo> "Really?" She looks a bit jealous...as there is the sound of a thunderclap and the crowd around the arena cheers.
  21. 01[23:11] <Altea> "Ooh, they're going. C'mon, bring the food with you, let's find a seat."
  22. [23:17] <Ikiryo> She nods, heading with Altea "What is happening?"
  23. 01[23:17] <Altea> "It's a competition. You guys have those right/"
  24. 01[23:17] <Altea> ?*
  25. [23:18] <Ikiryo> "...you mean like people going to see who can hunt the biggest game?"
  26. 01[23:18] <Altea> "Yeah, kind of like that. Except here, it's who can lift the heaviest things."
  27. 06[23:18] * Altea pulls her onto some bleachers to get a good look.
  28. [23:20] <Ikiryo> It looks like it's a sparring match currently. Well, was. Standing in the middle of the arena in front of a crumped man is a tall, very athletic girl with long blond hair and a heavy axe in her hand. Her barrier jacket is more armoured than most and has a lightning theme to it.
  29. 01[23:21] <Altea> "Ooh, she looks cool!"
  30. [23:22] <Ikiryo> Her foe stands up as the girl looks about the Arena...and goes for a cheap shot at the back of her head. She spins...and there is a heavy crack as the back of her axe impacts his jaw.
  31. [23:22] <Ikiryo> He goes down like a tonne of bricks.
  32. [23:22] <Ikiryo> Medraut's eyes widen. "Is that a Knight?"
  33. 01[23:23] <Altea> "I dunno, maybe."
  34. [23:24] <Ikiryo> The announcer raises the girl's hand. "Alright, for the second year running we have the Crannagan champion!"
  35. 06[23:24] * Altea cheers!
  36. [23:26] <Ikiryo> The girl grins, looking about the area. "Alright people, you know the drill! If you want to challange me, get down here!"
  37. 06[23:27] * Altea grins widely. "They have open challenges! Here, hold my food. Except this." She downs a kebab, then scrambles down to the arena, hammer in its case over her shoulder.
  38. [23:29] <Ikiryo> The girl looks over Altea and grins at her. "Huh, giant-kin right?"
  39. 01[23:29] <Altea> "How'd you guess?"
  40. 06[23:30] * Altea pulls the weapon case off he shoulder and leans on it.
  41. [23:31] <Ikiryo> "The fact you are as tall as I am~" She gestures with one her hands and a heavy round shield appears in it. "Not too many people like that about."
  42. 06[23:31] * Altea nods, opening the case and pulling her hammer.
  43. [23:32] <Ikiryo> "Nice weapon." She nods.
  44. 01[23:32] <Altea> "Thanks, I just got it. Had to change a few things around when I lost my arm."
  45. 06[23:34] * Altea puts the lucerne in her hand, twirling it a bit, before twisting her arm around the haft to brace it.
  46. [23:34] <Ikiryo> She frowns. "You sure you want to do this?" She looks over the missing arm.
  47. 06[23:35] * Altea grins. "Don't let it fool you."
  48. [23:36] <Ikiryo> "Alright then, I'm always up for a fight~" She takes a defensive stance with her shield and axe. "Ready when you are~"
  49. 06[23:37] * Altea shifts the lucerne, holding it almost like an extension of her remaining arm, before she shouts "Go!"
  50. 06[23:37] * Altea thrusts with the spear end before mixing it up with a swing of the hammer.
  51. [23:38] <Ikiryo> The spear end is knocked aside by the shield as the girl skillfully ducks the hammer. "Nice one~" She shield bashes towards Altea's face to distract her from the axe coming in at her side...
  52. 06[23:38] * Altea shifts to take the edge off the axe hit, but doesn't stop the shield at all.
  53. 01[23:39] <Altea> "Not bad."
  54. [23:39] <Ikiryo> The girl proves to be strong, nearly giantblooded strong. A shield isn't really designed for serious injury though as the girl steps backwards and grins widely. "Likewise."
  55. 01[23:40] <Altea> "Ready for round two?"
  56. [23:41] <Ikiryo> "Always." This time she opens up, lightning crackling along her axe as she brings it down in a heavy blow towards Altea's chest...
  57. 06[23:41] * Altea kicks at her wrist, spinning her body to get momentum on the hammer before swinging it down on top of the other woman.
  58. [23:42] <Ikiryo> Her blow is deflected aside, the lightning spinning off the axe and splitting a tree in half nearby. She brings up her shield to catch Altea's full force and the shield cracks...but holds.
  59. 06[23:45] * Altea is surprised. "You're tough."
  60. [23:46] <Ikiryo> "Of course I am. You're pretty strong though~" She ducks, lashing out with a heavy boot at Altea's knee as lightning crackles along her leg...
  61. 06[23:48] * Altea takes the hit again, gritting her teeth as the lightning runs through her leg, but she pushes out of it, thrusting with the spear to force her off balance, and shifting her grip to swing the hammer its entire length towards her side. <LANZA DE LOS GIGANTES>. The hammerhead burns red hot with Altea's magic.
  62. [23:49] <Ikiryo> She raises her shield again...and this time it shatters on the impact, blowing the girl over and back half a dozen steps. The arm that was holding the shield is hanging funny, likely dislocated.
  63. 01[23:53] <Altea> "Ooh, sorry about your shield. You okay?" She's genuinely concerned.
  64. [23:53] <Ikiryo> The girl grins...and starts to laugh, reaching up to reset her own dislocated arm. Her laugh gets louder as Altea hears the girl's device speak.
  65. [23:53] <Ikiryo> [Ber-skjaldaor!]
  66. [23:53] <Ikiryo> Lightning crackles along her entire body as she lunges at Altea, her axe shifted into a two handed dane axe. Massive sweeping blows with the force of a train are launched at her again and again...the girl laughing the entire time.
  67. 06[23:54] * Altea goes fully on the defensive, barely able to hold her back at all.
  68. [23:55] <Ikiryo> Suddenly the girl grabs her hammer with her hand...and headbutts Altea hard, letting go and turning in a massive spinning strike right at Altea's chest.
  69. 06[23:56] * Altea can't defend anymore, and is hurled out of the arena, crashing hard into the bleachers.
  70. [23:57] <Ikiryo> The girl dashes towards her...and the lightning fades as she offers a hand to Altea, grinning like a loon.
  71. 06[23:57] * Altea takes it, her left hand of course. "Man, that was crazy."
  72. [23:58] <Ikiryo> "It was a great fight. I've never had anyone break my shield before." She helps the girl up.
  73. 06[23:58] * Altea stands.
  74. 01[23:59] <Altea> "You hit really hard too, that was a good fight."

  76. [00:01] <Ikiryo> "I lost a bit of control there at the end, it's rare someone can hit hard enough to make me really feel it." She nods.
  77. 01[00:02] <Altea> "So what's your name? I'm Altea."
  78. [00:02] <Ikiryo> "Kara." She goes to shake Altea's hand. "I'm a TSAB Cadet in officer training."
  79. 01[00:03] <Altea> "Oh, me too! Which school?"
  80. 06[00:03] * Altea shakes hands.
  81. [00:03] <Ikiryo> "Cerberus. Me and my friends have gotten in the craziest bullshit since the school year started."
  82. 01[00:03] <Altea> "Wow, I'm also at Cerberus! What a crazy coincidence!"
  83. 01[00:03] <Altea> "And yeah, our year has been super eventful too."
  84. [00:05] <Ikiryo> "We'll have to spar again some time then." She nods. "Your movements felt off, the arm thing recent?"
  85. 01[00:05] <Altea> "Yeah, about a month ago."
  86. [00:06] <Ikiryo> "Sorry to hear it. But yeah, we had the craziest fight a few weeks ago. Space pirates attacked my friend's homeworld and we got to fight them."
  87. 01[00:06] <Altea> "Oh yeah?"
  88. [00:07] <Ikiryo> "Yeah, Aynfean comes from this poison mana world and pirates tried to invade, set up some sort of bioweapons plant. We smashed them up good. I got to fight a massive power lifter robot designed to carry ship parts about."
  89. 01[00:07] <Altea> "Aynfean..." She freezes, her eyes go wide.
  90. [00:07] <Ikiryo> "Yeah, it's a bit of an odd name. Cultural."
  91. 01[00:08] <Altea> "I see. I have to go my friend's...uh...dog is on fire."
  92. 01[00:08] <Altea> "Kayitwasgreatmeetingyouandfightingyoubye."
  93. 06[00:08] * Altea almost runs, grabbing Medraut.
  94. [00:10] <Ikiryo> "...what?" The girl looks very confused. Medraut flails, doing her best not to drop her food. "What is going on, I wanted to fight next!"
  95. 01[00:11] <Altea> "WE HAVE TO GO MEDRAUT. I'LL EXPLAIN WHERE NOBODY CAN HEAR US."
  96. 06[00:11] * Altea CONTINUES DRAGGING.
  97. 06[00:11] * Altea ALSO HAS HER HAMMER OUTSIDE OF HER CASE, ALL THREE OF THOSE THINGS UNDER HER LEFT ARM.
  98. [00:11] <Ikiryo> Medraut can't really stop herself being taken along by Altea.
  99. 06[00:12] * Altea finally stops behind a tree. "Medraut, we just traveled through time! That was Lieutenant Strommons! We're in the past! We can't do ANYTHING or we'll make ourselves cease to exist! Stop eating before it's too late!"
  100. [00:12] <Ikiryo> Kara goes to follow them but Altea was fleeing too fast to get caught.
  101. [00:13] <Ikiryo> "...what?" She pauses, skewer close to her mouth. "The woman who beat me up?"
  102. 01[00:13] <Altea> "Yes that one! That's her when she was a student here!"
  103. 01[00:13] <Altea> "We've gotta be like eight or nine years in the past."
  104. [00:13] <Ikiryo> "...she laughed a lot less when she beat me up."
  105. 01[00:15] <Altea> "She got serious, some stuff went down after this point. Look, it's not important. What is important is that we do nothing that creates a time paradox and unmakes the universe. Think you can do that?"
  106. [00:16] <Ikiryo> "...what?" She tilts her head, confused.
  107. 01[00:16] <Altea> "WE HAVE TO KEEP EXISTING MEDRAUT, OR WE DON'T EXIST."
  108. [00:16] <Ikiryo> "I...suppose?"
  109. 01[00:17] <Altea> "Good, glad you're on board. Now, we can't do anything that will have a ripple effect for the future. No killing any bugs, no moving anything heavy, and above all, don't become your own grandma."
  110. [00:17] <Ikiryo> "...I...what...how? My grandmother isn't even on this planet..."
  111. 01[00:18] <Altea> "Great, that will make things easier."
  112. [00:18] <Ikiryo> "...I guess so?" She looks very, very confused
  113. 01[00:18] <Altea> "Oh, I have to tell the other girls too."
  114. 06[00:18] * Altea sends a message out to everyone. [TO: EVERYONE- DON'T BECOME YOUR OWN GRANDMA, WHATEVER YOU DO.]
  115. [00:19] <Ikiryo> "...what now?" She takes a bite of the food while Altea is distracted sending a message.
  116. 01[00:20] <Altea> "...Good question. Uh, hang out?"
  117. [00:20] <Ikiryo> "...where?"
  118. 01[00:20] <Altea> "...."
  119. 01[00:20] <Altea> "I have no idea."
  120. [00:22] <Ikiryo> Altea spots Kara wandering nearby, clearly looking for the pair.
  121. 01[00:22] <Altea> "HIDE!"
  122. 06[00:22] * Altea hits the dirt.
  123. [00:22] <Ikiryo> The shouting doesn't do a great job of hiding from Kara, who starts heading towards them.
  124. 01[00:23] <Altea> "RUN!"
  125. 06[00:23] * Altea grabs Medraut again.
  126. [00:23] <Ikiryo> Kara takes off after then. "What is going on?"
  127. 01[00:24] <Altea> "I NEED TO KEEP EXISTING."
  128. [00:26] <Ikiryo> "How...WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?" Kara shouts as she follows them.
  129. 01[00:26] <Altea> "I CAN'T TELL YOU, I DON'T WANT TO CAUSE A PARADOX."
  130. [00:27] <Ikiryo> "...a what?" Altea spots the portal not far up ahead of her.
  131. 06[00:28] * Altea just runs through it.
  132. [00:28] <Ikiryo> Kara follows her.
