- (Guankou Erlang and Traveler (wukong) go up stage)
- When Buzhou Mountain cracked, Tianwu was slain, and Tai'e sword was tested on Gonggong. Who amongst Youqiong (houyi's state) can shoot the sun? Someone of high status carried five mountains to chase the golden crow. It is the young saint Guankou Erlang who did all this, and upon the directive of Guanyin, shall save Tangseng from danger.
- (singing)
- [Tune: “Fighting Quail”]
- I watch the cycles of the sun and moon, and the changes of the mountains and rivers. Guankou's power is shown, and my name is known throughout the world. Guo Yanzhi lifts my eagle up high, and my golden-headed servant leads my divine dog. Carrying my bow and crossbow, with slingshot ready. By the banks of the Zhuojin River, along the cloud-laden paths.
- [Tune: “Purple Flower Prelude”]
- I feel the fear of the mountain gods, whilst the woodcutters hide and wooden beasts clench their fists.
- When I was bored, I move a mountains to chase the sun; when idle, I measure the heavens with grass.
- The seasons come and go without memory, and the world changes, fragile as pine branches, as sea becomes mulberry fields.
