  1. Hi. Quick FAQ! Ok... these questions are not frequently asked. They are not asked at all. Well, I am asking them for you, so you don't have to! But maybe you're curious, maybe you're not!
  2.
  3. Are you back?
  4. -------------
  5. No. Well, maybe. I may tweet occasionally, but I'm still planning to avoid reading the news feed as much as possible. So... if you want to tweet something at me, I may see it! If you want to see posts from me... you might sometimes! But no, I'm not really back.
  6.
  7. Are you better?
  8. ---------------
  9. No. Well, maybe. I might be worse. It's hard to tell. I'm still battling back and forth with a lot of anxiety and stress and intermittent depression. It's not necessarily at the borderline-panic level I was at earlier in September, so that's better. But I still feel a bit overwhelmed and like I'm constantly playing catch up in most phases of my life. So trying to get some of that under control a bit. (Good news is I was indeed able to meditate on 1 Peter 5:7, as I had hoped, and to derive great comfort from it. Really, 1 Peter 5:6-10 as a whole were amazing. And in both the last week and as recently as yesterday I've derived great encouragement from Philippians 2:12-13, 4:4-8)
  10.
  11. Wait - now you're talking about the Bible? I'm out.
  12. ---------------------------------------------------
  13. Ok, I guess that's fine. But Jesus does indeed remain the Lord of my life, and I derive greater comfort from His Word than much of anything else these days. Just bein' real with y'all. You can take it or leave it!
  14.
  15. Are you going to stream again?
  16. ------------------------------
  17. I want to! My Twitter break was definitely not intended to be a streaming break. I was hoping that I'd be running 102% all along this time (heck, I should've had 1:29 by now). But... then October happened. And now I'm fighting a massive cold in which my voice is pretty screwed up and I all around feel bad. So yeah.
  18.
  19. You didn't get into AGDQ. You suck.
  20. -----------------------------------
  21. I know. Easy to feel that way sometimes, but I knew this one was a long shot. If anything, it was a last, desperate, attempt to get in, as I won't have another opportunity for a few years. (SGDQ is out for the foreseeable future, and I'm planning to run the Disney Marathon again in January 2021... though that is in Orlando too...). I wasn't even really disappointed this time. Actually, my feelings were probably more in line with the majority of the Donkey community in that I'm really excited to see 103% get in. Really disappointed for Sui that he won't be able to run it, but everything will be v0oidOk.
  22.
  23. How did you like Link's Awakening?
  24. ---------------------------------
  25. LOVE it. This is an absolutely perfect remake/remaster. It reminds me about everything I love about that game and cements its place in my top-10 of all time. It's been awesome to see my 8 year old son take to the game, too. He loves it. And he's making quicker progress through the game, with less help, than I did when I was 11. (not sure how to feel about that). If the FF7 remake can pull off this same thing - staying completely true to the original while bringing new, fun, and modern content - then I'll lose my mind with joy.
  26.
  27. Diablo IV is coming out, eh?
  28. ----------------------------
  29. Yes, pretty exciting. I almost did a Diablo II speedrun that night to celebrate. (But again, this October has been a thing). I don't expect we'll see this game for several years, or if I'll even get to play it. My initial impressions from the gameplay trailers were that it looked a LOT like Diablo III. Now, even though I quite enjoyed D3, I'm with the rest of the fandom in wanting to see the series return more to its roots. But this gameplay footage seemed to just once again show overpowered super-heroes trashing monsters, rather than a deep, overwhelming struggle against darkness. But I didn't watch any other presentations to learn more about the content, so I'm sure it's quite different - but these were my first thoughts. And the cinematic trailer super creeped/grossed me out, so mission accomplished by them on that front. Definitely want to do a D2 stream soon.
  30.
  31. Also the Rise of Skywalker trailer came out! Are you excited?!
  32. --------------------------------------------------------------
  33. I really wish that I was. But there was almost nothing in that trailer which excited me. If anything, there are things that give me pause and leave me concerned about the direction of the story (which has been my main gripe with the sequel trilogy - no compelling story). There's just a bittersweet melancholy when I think about this trilogy. I'll be there opening night - hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I love Star Wars. I've said a few times recently that "I'm not as into Star Wars anymore" - but that's not really true. I LOVE Star Wars. Which is what makes the disappointment its left me with these last few years all the sadder.
  34.
  35. What's your favorite game right now?
  36. ------------------------------------
  37. Mario Maker 2. Love this game. Mostly I love watching it. I discovered DGR recently and couldn't be a bigger fan. I introduced him to my kids and they love him too, so now we have DGR nights as a family. I've also really enjoyed watching Ryukahr and Thabeast. But I love playing it, too - and most evenings I sit down and play a few levels to unwind. Got a ton of level concept ideas, but I'm not great at making time to work on them.
  38.
  39. Tell me about Batman.
  40. ---------------------
  41. He's awesome.
  42.
  43. Did you have somebody drill into your hip bone, suck the bone marrow out, and reinject it into your joint?
  44. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45. Yes.
