  1. Pausing, you ask, "Is... everyone goods to go?"
  2.
  3. Velcora nods her head emphatically.
  4.
  5. You make a beckoning motion to no-one in particular.
  6.
  7. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "Sorry I took so long."
  8. Velcora begins to follow you.
  9. You give Velcora a friendly squeeze.
  10.
  11. Elexia begins to follow you.
  12. Elexia hops from the stage, her butterfly wings bursting into motion in flashes of dark colour as she darts near you.
  13.
  14. You smile brightly at Millien, your frills puffing with joy.
  15. You beckon to Millien.
  16. You gasp in delight, reaching out to boop Millien lightly on the nose with a finger.
  17.
  18. Millien begins to follow you.
  19.
  20. The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.
  21.
  22. You touch a glowing emerald leaf, and leafy creepers push up through the ground and climb up your legs. As the leaves turn brown and blow away, you are suddenly whisked away.
  23.
  24. Millien follows you ether.
  25. Elexia follows you ether.
  26.
  27. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Aye, sorry. I'm awake."
  28.
  29. You portal to Overgrowth.
  30.
  31. A Gentle Grove. (#OVERGROWTH_1)
  32. You feel hidden powers in this room. The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. A quiet glen of gnarled weeping willows encase all sides, leaves swishing softly in an unseen breeze. Hung from many branches are small cicada and blossom origami, as if the willow trees themselves bear fruit. Twilight cloaks the area, blanketing all in a ghostly glow. Soft grasses and leaves crunch underfoot, the soothing smell of decaying flora and wet earth flooding the air with each step. Large, fluffy bats flutter overhead, oddly docile despite their inherent natures. Freshly planted, a small rowan sapling grows in a clear place of honor, lovingly tended to. There are plenty of spaces for rest, a soft patch of grass here, a plush expanse of moss there. Piled next to a rather large patch of moss sits a stack of letters, each paper clearly well loved. A small vase sits atop a mossy stump, practically bursting with flower cuttings, bringing a spot of bright color to an otherwise unremarkable sea of greens and browns. A large, fluffy crow's nest hangs from one of the many willows, full of shiny baubles and small bones of some poor rodent. The sound of a babbling brook seems to echo in the distance. Little else can be heard, save for the soft woosh of the entry portal. A thick bed of moss clings to the ground here. There are 3 moss-covered stump chairs here. A painting of Unwanted Silence is proudly exhibited on a nearby wall, with an inscription on a plaque on its frame. Perpetually ticking away the hours, the Enduring Clock of Present's Resolution stands proudly nearby. Flapjack the fox is standing here quietly. You see a sign here instructing you to use the PORTAL command to enter the aetherplex system.
  33. There are no obvious exits.
  34.
  35. Flapjack the fox holds his head out to you for petting.
  36.
  37. You chuckle softly, your frilled tail flicking idly with amusement.
  38.
  39. You have emoted: Cheliyi sweeps across the grassy floor to sit on a bed of moss.
  40.
  41. As you leads the group of four into the gentle grove, Elexia turns a slow circle from where she hovers in the air. Her violet eyes drink in the scenery, dancing over the willows, the ghostly glow with illuminates all, the nest which hangs from one of the trees littered with its myriad of shiny treasures. As you takes a seat, the faeling's pointed ears twitch, and she lowers herself gently down to the ground - first the tips of her toes, then all the way to her heels in an unhurried manner.
  42.
  43. Elexia takes a seat upon her knees, taking great care to smooth out the wrinkles of a fiery daffodil sari. She looks to you next, a bright smile upon her face. "A peaceful place to dwell," she chimes with an appreciative nod.
  44.
  45. Velcora's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.
  46.
  47. Glancing up at the canopy, you say, "Mm. If you want, the stumps are also nice seats, yes."
  48.
  49. You reach out through your bond with Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow and summon him from the stables. You sense him answering your call.
  50. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow trots in with head high, butting you gently with his head.
  51.
  52. Millien closes her eyes, bare toes digging into the mossy floor whilst taking a long, deep breath. Exhaling after a moment her eyes open again with an approving nod. "Aye, a fine spot." she offers simply.
  53.
  54. Muginn, the ghost-feathered crow wanders into the room, takes one look at the crowd, and huffs. He clambers into his nest, tucking his head under his wing.
  55.
  56. You have emoted: Cheliyi pulls her feet from the ground, sitting cross legged. "Mm. Well. The song is... better with my siblings, but as I am no longer Wyrden..."
  57. You have emoted: Cheliyi exhales quietly, and shakes her head. "Still. It is a good song, and I would not mind singing it once more."
  58.
  59. Elexia smiles sweetly from her spot, dipping her head in a nod. Her pointed ears twitch yearningly as she focuses all of her attention on you. Even her wings have finally grown still.
  60.
  61. With a sudden, sheepish laugh, you say, "Dad is much better at this."
  62.
  63. Elexia smiles softly.
  64. Lifting a hand to her heart, Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says, "But your Colours, your own, are radiant too, Cheliyi."
  65. Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says, "It is an honour that you would share them with us."
  66.
  67. Velcora flashes you a joyous smile.
  68.
  69. Millien nods her head sagely at you.
  70.
  71. You have emoted: Cheliyi closes her eyes, smiling faintly. The mugwump's head tilts as she considers the swaying leaves, and she hums a soft, low note.
  72.
  73. A warm breeze drifts through, caressing the surrounding canopy and scattering various foliage underfoot. Origami swing in the wind in an almost mesmerizing pattern, until all grows still once more.
  74.
  75. Softly, you say, "My siblings... they are... well, to many, they are terrifying."
  76. You have emoted: Cheliyi swirls one hand over her other, and then with a clear grimace, manages to create a soft, swirling orb of shadow.
  77.
  78. Elexia leans forward slightly in her seat, her violet eyes darting to the orb.
  79.
  80. The argent teardrop berries sparkle in clusters upon the wreath Velcora wears. You smell the heady scent of evergreens, and for a moment it feels as if life were a dream.
  81.
  82. Quietly strained, you say, "But, they were not to me. I was one of them. I was wyrden, and I was their sibling. A tree, in Her garden. And, as one, we were happy. In a... simple sense."
  83.
  84. In a swirl of blue fire, a gentle spirit stag leaps out of the Flame of dae'Seren upon Velcora and prances in a slow circle before fading.
  85.
  86. Millien tilts her head and listens intently.
  87.
  88. Velcora nods solemnly.
  89.
  90. You have emoted: The mugwump suddenly lets out a sharp exhale, and the orb scatters into nothingness, Cheliyi left with nothing more than a sad smile and sweat upon her brow. "And we were beautiful. Home, is beautiful. They sang, every day, every waking moment. Hundreds of voices, raised in praise and glory, never alone. Never quiet."
  91.
  92. Quietly, you say, "And this, is what they sang."
  93. You close your eyes and inhale deeply, absorbing the scent of your surroundings.
  94.
  95. A soft smile is upon Elexia's lips as she attends fully to you, her violet eyes returning to you as the orb disappears into nothingness.
  96.
  97. Softly, you sing, "May your veins flood with rain, let your lungs swell with vines..."
  98. You have emoted: Her eyes open, glimmering with a fond sorrow as Cheliyi continues her soft croon, "We will be here, till the end of Time."
  99. Expression softening, you sing, "May your soul be overgrown with moss, your eyes torn from lies, the Wyrd reigns supreme with the truth of Night..."
  100.
  101. You have emoted: Cheliyi trails off, the grove silent to her call. All is still, and mugwump seems to sigh, dwarfed by the massive canopy surrounding her.
  102. The ghost of a smile passes fleetingly across your lips.
  103.
  104. Elexia's attention remains rapt upon you, even as her violet eyes close. "Your voice... It is beautiful," she says gently, her voice barely above a whisper but brimming with her admiration.
  105.
  106. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs whispers, "Thank you for singing that."
  107.
  108. You have emoted: Cheliyi smiles, holding up a hand. "Not done, no."
  109.
  110. Elexia smiles softly.
  111. Elexia nods her head at you.
  112.
  113. Gently, you sing, "Stop to smell the roses, spiders dance in our halls," the mugwump glances at each of you in turn, the words echoing with a hollow sort of power, a shadow of, perhaps, what it once was, "Nothing matters but Glomdoring, our beauty greatest of all."
  114.
  115. Something hangs heavy in the air, shadows pooling around your feet, pulsing in tune as if the grove had attuned itself to Cheliyi's song. They waver and sway, inconsistent, soon dissipating within moments.
  116.
  117. Although she is clearly entranced by the song, a thoughtfulness crosses Elexia's mien. Ripples of green blossom in the midst of her wings like flowers. Her violet eyes open, and dart down to look at the shadows which have sprang up before her feet.
  118.
  119. Watching the shadows slip away with a sad smile, you sing, "Your struggles are in vain, thorns grip your hide, become -one- with us, further our might...""
  120.
  121. A hand reaches up to Elexia's heart, and her brow furrows for but a moment as her eyes grow wistful. Then, however, she lifts her eyes and smile to you once more.
  122.
  123. You have emoted: Cheliyi's voice almost seems to resonate with the ground beneath you, as if the wyrden woods were aching to respond to her call. sing "Shadows pool in our boughs, feathers flood our skies, for we are truly free, crowing in flight."
  124.
  125. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you sing, "Stop to smell the roses, fools drawn in our thrall."
  126.
  127. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you whisper, "Glory be to Glomdoring!"
  128.
  129. Glancing away with a quiet frown, you sing, "Her creation greatest of all."
  130.
  131. You have emoted: Cheliyi exhales, and the pallor fades from the room.
  132.
  133. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Ye got a good voice, lass."
  134.
  135. You think to yourself: **a deep, quiet ache.**.
  136.
  137. Softly, you say, "It was better with my siblings."
  138. Smiling with a shrug, you murmur, "Though, I suppose we are not siblings anymore."
  139.
  140. A single teardrop coalesces in the corner of Velcora's eyes.
  141.
  142. You blink.
  143. You frown at Velcora.
  144.
  145. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "Family is forever...you are still siblings."
  146.
  147. At first worried, then uncertain, you say, "Velcora I..."
  148.
  149. Elexia lifts a hand to her heart as she chimes, without guile, "Your voice was rich with vibrant Colour." Then, there is a pause, and she glances at the willows all around. "A Communion, a unity, is a difficult thing to bear. To have broken. There are times when bonds must be cut, when two plants must sow in different grounds, but..."
  150.
  151. Velcora creases her brow in a frown.
  152.
  153. Softly, Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says, "You are very strong, Cheliyi."
  154.
  155. You curl your nose up and grimace awfully.
  156.
  157. Velcora tilts her head and listens intently to you.
  158.
  159. A babbling brook gurgles off in the distance, flooding the air with the scent of damp, fertile soil.
  160. The sun reaches the zenith of the firmament, pausing in his quest to allow the land to bask in his shining golden rays.
  161.
  162. Quietly, you say, "Well, I was rotting. We are taught, to uproot the weed, cull the rot. So... I did that, in a way."
  163.
  164. Elexia looks at you searchingly, her violet eyes scanning you features without judgment. Only a quiet inquisitiveness. "Why do you evaluate yourself so?" she asks softly. "What rot do you believe lies within you?"
  165.
  166. Gazing out at nothing, you say, "I am no longer Wyrden, and I refuse to come home to my siblings. They wish, for things to be as they were. They always were rather stubborn."
  167.
  168. You blink incredulously at Elexia.
  169.
  170. As she nods slowly in your direction, you realize Velcora understands.
  171. Quietly, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "There are many kinds of family. They will not be your only one."
  172.
  173. With a frown, you say to Elexia, "I... I wanted mercy. Kindness. To not have hunger, to be weak. Or at least, weak in the eyes of Glomdoring. It... when you live there, you evolve. You refine. You cut away the rot. I did not want to cut away my kindness."
  174.
  175. A single teardrop coalesces in the corner of Velcora's eyes.
  176.
  177. You smile softly at Velcora.
  178.
  179. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "I am glad you did not."
  180.
  181. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Question."
  182.
  183. Elexia cants her head, her violet eyes gentle as she continue to watch you. "Do you believe we should not seek after kindness?" she asks.
  184.
  185. You frown at Millien.
  186. You nod your head at Millien.
  187. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "How in th' nine Hells is it that bein' kind an' merciful is a weakness? Kinda wanna wallop whoe'er told ye that."
  188.
  189. You blink.
  190. You have emoted: Cheliyi gives a quiet laugh, laced with bitterness. "Do you know what Glomdoring means?"
  191.
  192. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say to Millien, "It is fae, for No Mercy. 'Fai Glomdoring,' I have no mercy."
  193.
  194. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Heard it referred ta as Fallen Gloriana, but ne'er learned the meanin'."
  195. Millien ponders for a moment and says "Hrm..."
  196.
  197. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "Was gonna guess grouchy sourpants."
  198.
  199. Elexia lifts a finger as she chimes, "The Glomdoring is a Perspective, Cheliyi. And there are shards of Truth in it... The power of Communion, of bonds, of closeness, of unity towards a goal." She cants her head in the other direction. "But there are many Perspectives, with other fragments of Truth."
  200.
  201. The corners of Velcora's mouth turn up as she grins mischievously.
  202.
  203. Elexia smiles softly at Velcora.
  204.
  205. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Now I know a bit'a fae..An' now I know how ta respond ta folk what shout it."
  206.
  207. Millien ponders the situation.
  208.
  209. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, you say to Elexia, "I think kindness is good. I searched after it. I followed it. But... it hurts. It hurts to be kind, it hurts to not be hungry. It is simply a weakness that is good, for everyone else."
  210.
  211. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Kindness is hard. Havin' mercy is hard."
  212. Millien ponders the situation.
  213.
  214. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "Kindness is the greatest strength I know. one of them at least."
  215.
  216. Elexia extends her hands out to either side, then brings them together slowly in front of her. "It is good for everyone else, but it is good for you, too," she chimes. "It is by kindness that two shards, even with different Perspectives, may bond. Yes, you will bear the burdens of others, in your kindness, you will give them joy. But in turn, they will extend it to you. And moreso... You will be in your Truth." She shakes her head. "Suppressing your Colours, your true self, cannot be Truth."
  217. Elexia nods her head at Velcora.
  218.
  219. Velcora nods her head at Elexia.
  220.
  221. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says to Elexia, "Yer better at this than I am, glad fer it a'course."
  222.
  223. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "Kindness is easy for some, but that doesn't make it less right or less strong."
  224.
  225. A ripple of green manifests again in Elexia's sable wings, swirling and dancing hypnotically. "The Glomdoring is a Communion which feeds itself. It is a fragment of what could be, for they help bear each other, complimenting each other. But by kindness... You can become something even more, even without bloodshed," she chimes.
  226.
  227. You have emoted: Cheliyi watches the three of you with an unreadable expression, perhaps torn between confusion, suspicion, and vulnerability.
  228.
  229. Elexia relents from speech, instead electing to sweep her eyes across the willows.
  230.
  231. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "I misunderstood Glomdoring, saw the good in it and only glanced the darkness sideways, ever since I discovered you were part of it. That is because your very nature is kindness and beauty. If Glomdoring could be as you are, perhaps it could be...whole? I still no so little of it that it feels as though my words are also only sideways glances towards the truth, but I wish to offer them anyways."
  232. Velcora gives a pained sigh.
  233. Velcora shrugs helplessly.
  234. Velcora blushes suddenly and glances down at her feet.
  235.
  236. Swallowing suddenly, you say, "I..."
  237.
  238. Millien blinks.
  239.
  240. Elexia's violet eyes close as she chimes, "If you would will us leave, Cheliyi, please let us know. For I know this is a difficult matter we now speak of."
  241.
  242. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "I'm sorry my words are so...clumsy."
  243. Velcora gives a pained sigh.
  244.
  245. A gentle smile comes across Elexia's face, though her eyes remain closed. "But if you would will us stay, I will stay as long as you require."
  246.
  247. You have emoted: Cheliyi coughs quietly, and scrubs at her eyes. "I don't... mmrph. You guys are goodly. And I appreciate it. Please do not go if you do not want to."
  248.
  249. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "Perhaps we should do more singing."
  250.
  251. Elexia's violet eyes open, and she looks at you with a mixing of sympathy and compassion.
  252. The pointed tips of Elexia's ears twitch as she tries to listen closely to Velcora.
  253. Leaning her cheek on her hand, Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says, "Is there a song which springs to your mind, Minister?"
  254.
  255. Velcora ponders for a moment and says "Hrm..."
  256.
  257. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "I only have a few I know by heart."
  258.
  259. Elexia ceases to wield a little acorn cup in her left hand.
  260.
  261. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "I could do a wee ditty, eye."
  262.
  263. Velcora's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.
  264. Velcora nods her head emphatically.
  265.
  266. Elexia smiles softly.
  267.
  268. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says to Elexia, "Ye'll be familiar with this'n."
  269.
  270. You have emoted: Cheliyi lets out a quiet laugh, finally smiling.
  271.
  272. Naught a sound can be heard as a single, lonely leaf drifts down from the looming willows overhead.
  273.
  274. Elexia's eyebrows raise with interest as she cants her head lightly. She then glances to the side, looking consumed by thought for a moment. "I do?" she muses, rubbing her chin with her hand. "I wonder which of your melodies it is..."
  275.
  276. "Heh heh heh" Millien chuckles.
  277.
  278. Millien clears her throat, preparing to sing for the first time in ages.
  279.
  280. Closing your eyes, you listen intently. Your frills twitch with idle curiousity.
  281.
  282. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Like ta be off-key, dinnae tease me too much."
  283.
  284. A mischievous look fills Elexia's violet eyes as her lips turn in a pixie's grin.
  285.
  286. The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.
  287.
  288. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Alrigh', here goes."
  289.
  290. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras sings, "By the woods, do ye see? Wolf in all 'is might! Grinnin' madly, waggin' gladly, bouncin' with delight! My oh my, what a sight! Why nae melancholy? Must be that, still nae wed. That is why so jolly!"
  291.
  292. With a flourish of her arm, Millien bows deeply.
  293.
  294. You blink.
  295. You clap your hands together merrily.
  296. You giggle happily.
  297.
  298. Peals of laughter leave Elexia's lips as her violet eyes roll and she cries, "Oh, Millie!" She waves a hand as her joy brings her to tears. She reaches up to swipe at them with a finger as she says, "I had forgotten that one!"
  299.
  300. Velcora claps her hands together merrily.
  301.
  302. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Did ye? Well, glad I am that I jogged yer memory."
  303.
  304. Muginn ruffles his feathers, stirring up puffs of fog.
  305.
  306. With a grin dancing on her lips, Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says, "And just as I am but a year or two from marriage myself!"
  307.
  308. Velcora beams broadly at Elexia.
  309.
  310. A wry smile spreads across your face.
  311.
  312. With a light Dwarfish brogue, Millien Myeras says, "Back when I ne'er figured I'd have a mate...But wanted ta make light'a it."
  313. Velcora's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.
  314.
  315. Warmly, you say, "Is a goodly song, yes. I will be honest, I only know the one, yes. And maybe some of Dad's songs, sort of."
  316.
  317. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "It's very good."
  318.
  319. Across the heavens, the stars and moon challenge night's dark reign, revealing familiar constellations that tell the tales of myth and legend.
  320.
  321. Elexia's violet eyes swivels to look upon Velcora curiously. "You are a singer of spirits like myself, aye? Do you have a favorite among your own compositions?" she asks.
  322.
  323. The corners of Velcora's mouth turn up as she grins mischievously.
  324. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "I was thinking I might play a song I wrote for my mentor."
  325.
  326. You tilt your head curiously at Velcora.
  327. You nod your head emphatically.
  328.
  329. The pointed tips of Elexia's ears twitch as she tries to listen closely to Velcora.
  330.
  331. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "To go with the little illusion show I created for then."
  332.
  333. Velcora coughs softly.
  334.
  335. With an earnest nod, Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says, "Please do, please do!"
  336.
  337. Velcora's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.
  338. Velcora clears her throat and positions her lyre.
  339. In a rippling soprano, Mayflower Velcora Lunarose, Minister of Cultural Affairs says, "I'm used to playing it on my violin, but I think this'll do."
  340.
