We saw you guys go up against iM and defeat them 5-3 on cp_badlands last season, something we rarely witness in an OWL match. Can we expect the same, if not more, this season?
Last season for us was quite unexpected in many fields. Initially, our team was disappointed that we were in div1 to begin with, we didnt feel like we could pose much of a threat against the div1 teams. I remember talking to midas, prior to owl, about how if we came in 6th, then i would be happy with that. Then to make the semi's was a great effort by us. When i saw it was IM, well, you always going to play your best yet you'll have that seed of doubt in your mind. I think it was Spitty that turned that around for us, couple hours before that match, he basically just said, screw it, we're the underdogs in this, everyone expects us to lose, so just go all out. To be honest i cant remember a whole lot of that game, but i do remember it was probably the best game ive ever played.
This season, i guess there is a bit more expectation from us, and to be honest, repeating what we did against IM is gonna be alot harder, judging from friendly scrims, they have gotten alot better since that semi. Having said that though, doesnt matter how good the people im playing are, i never think about how good they are, more about how i can beat them...seems to work well for me.

We saw you guys drop Pudddy, however you've picked up several new players in your current core, including madjack and combust. Would you care to explain why you chose these players?
Puddy decided he would prefer to play in spadebox, which is fair enough i guess, i mean people join and leave teams all the time so no use getting mad or whatever. So best of luck to him.
I wasnt involved in the choosing of madjack and combust, but im happy that we picked them up. I believe, we got them because spitty played with them in fever, and it was getting last minute so grabbed the first non-spastic solly paired that appeared i think. Ive always thought combust was a very good solly that didnt get praised enough, and madjack ive played against for a long time and i know is a smart player with solid decision making.
We've only played together like 3 nights or so, but we seem to be working together well, couple things to sort out, but we should still be strong with this line up.

Which teams do you see as your biggest threats this season and why?
I try not to categorise teams as easy wins or threats too much cause it messes up your play style. However, IM and bob of course will be the big threats, just full of good players and such. The other teams i feel we are more matched against, but still will be tough games i feel.

You guys are going up against vR in the first round this season, what are your expectations for this match?
VR has been around a while and is full of seasoned players so no reason to go into this over confident. We're hoping to start strong and prove that we are competent as a team, and will be good for confidence if we can come out on top. We havent played vr in quite a while so it will be interesting to see how we go.


What are your opinions on the addition of cp_warmfront to the map rotation?
I think its a good map, played it a bunch of times, not too much though. I don't really feel the need to whinge about what map/weapon is in or out of owl, i just accept and play. So yea, im happy that this is added in, something different to play.
