  10. [2013-10-13 20:06:26] <Falconis> "You're looking to join the Hevealy crashing Thunderous fist of Raijin aren't you? General Lei's company"

  12. [2013-10-13 20:09:57] <Falconis> He adjusts his sash and pulls a giggling woman closer to him, "It isn't easy work you know. A kid like you probably couldn't manage"

  14. [2013-10-13 20:10:48] <Falconis> He flicks his wrist sharply, spilling wine on the table, drawing a fresh round of giggles from the women next to him
  15. [2013-10-13 20:12:51] <Jay> Jay smiles, watching the wine spread for a second. "No, I'm here looking for the general himself. I've heard...stories. Legends."
  16. [2013-10-13 20:14:07] <Jay> Tails swishes his tails slowly behind him, twitching his nose. "I'm here to talk to him officially...and to see how much of them are true."
  17. [2013-10-13 20:27:12] <Falconis> "You want to talk to the general?" He scoffs "Go ahead, he's somewhere over there" The more than slightly drunk man points to a pile of women a few feet away
  18. [2013-10-13 21:30:51] <Jay> Jay nods his thanks, and strides towards the pile of flesh, Tails padding along behind him.
  19. [2013-10-13 21:31:17] <Jay> He stops within a few feet and looks for a likely limb, and then just decides to verbalize his presence. "General Lei?"
  20. [2013-10-13 21:32:07] <Falconis> A rich, masculine voice answers from your right, curiously not from the pile of flesh "Yes?"
  21. [2013-10-13 21:34:19] <Jay> Tails nose twitches and the two turn in unison to the speaker. "...hello, general." Jay tilts his hat back with a forefinger to get a good look at the man.

  26. [2013-10-13 21:35:15] <Falconis> A man in a white suit in the western style, wearing a black shirt and a white tie sits on a cushion beside the pile of women. A pink cloth patterned with flowers is flung over his shoulders and a pipe is in his hands. "Yes, what do you want?"

  28. [2013-10-13 21:37:52] <Jay> "I'm an...assistant with Diplomat Yu. I was hoping you had some time to spare talking to me, I've heard a fair deal about you."
  29. [2013-10-13 21:38:40] <Falconis> He exhales dual streams of smoke from his nostrils as he looks you up and down

  32. [2013-10-13 21:39:47] <Falconis> In response to his summons an emolga wearing a tie struggles out from the grasp of the adoring women around him, causing a chorus of 'noo' s and 'come back's
  33. [2013-10-13 21:40:10] <Falconis> [Lei]"Take your fan club somewhere else, I'm going to talk for a bit"
  34. [2013-10-13 21:40:58] <Falconis> The emolga salutes and hops into the air. He glides to another section of the room, a group of women trailing behind him
  35. [2013-10-13 21:41:25] <Falconis> In half a minute the area is cleared and the General indicates a free cushion "Go ahead"
  36. [2013-10-13 21:43:44] <Jay> Jay takes a seat on the cushion and crosses his legs, Tails curled up into a wheel inside them.
  37. [2013-10-13 21:45:25] <Jay> "I've heard high praise, General Lei. That you're unbeatable on the field, that you strike like a storm, that you've taken a million men's head in a day."
  38. [2013-10-13 21:46:47] <Falconis> The general chuckles, causing smoke to come out in puffs "Hmm, whoever told you that exaggerated a bit."
  39. [2013-10-13 21:47:57] <Falconis> "Maybe half a million"

  42. [2013-10-13 21:49:36] <Jay> Jay chuckles. "Do you have any stories you're willing to share? I've...spent some time on battlefields myself. Sometimes, the directness seems so much easier than...this." Jay waves one hand vaguely around him.
  43. [2013-10-13 21:52:08] <Falconis> "Direct, that's an interesting word. In a way, this place is much like the battlefield, except the wounds don't bleed."
  44. [2013-10-13 21:52:47] <Falconis> He points with his pipe to a group of minor nobles talking in hushed tones by the eastern door
  45. [2013-10-13 21:54:12] <Falconis> "They don't strike at each other directly, that would invite direct opposition, instead they kind of do it sideways." he chuckles "Just like you have to do when you fight something like a Shendinja"
  46. [2013-10-13 21:54:24] <Falconis> "Ever encountered one of those pokemon?"
  47. [2013-10-13 21:55:13] <Jay> Jay shakes his head. "No, not personally."
  48. [2013-10-13 21:55:15] <Falconis> "Eerie, silent, still. It flies but it doesn't move, it strikes with no indication, and it's immune to almost everything you can throw at it"
  49. [2013-10-13 21:56:20] <Falconis> "Now imagine that, and multiply it by 300. War in the south had left a lot of Nincada without homes, many evolved during the conflict, some died. Ninjtask go east but Shedinja..."
  50. [2013-10-13 21:57:04] <Falconis> "In any case, my pokemon weren't suited for the occasion and I had no way to stop them directly."
  51. [2013-10-13 21:57:18] <Falconis> "So I came at it sideways" *grin*
  52. [2013-10-13 21:58:03] <Falconis> "A lightning storm on a dry field got me some fire to make quick work of them. The fields were lost, but the people survived"
  53. [2013-10-13 22:00:36] <Falconis> "I've had to make use of other methods, more...involved techniques before, but the battlefield isn't always as direct as it seems is it?"
  54. [2013-10-13 22:00:43] <Falconis> He takes a puff from his pipe
  55. [2013-10-13 22:03:40] <Jay> Jay leans back a little, thinking about the General's story. "That's...effective," he says. "And no, sometimes it's a mess of mud of men and none of them friendly. But at least out there, you can usually tell."
  56. [2013-10-13 22:03:52] <Jay> Jay pauses and pets Tails for a moment.
  57. [2013-10-13 22:04:38] <Falconis> He nods and looks nostalgic for a moment
  58. [2013-10-13 22:06:39] <Jay> "General, what have you heard of the war? From the Russians, from the Japanese, from your barber, whoever."
  59. [2013-10-13 22:07:15] <Falconis> The middle aged man quirks an eyebrow and then speaks
  60. [2013-10-13 22:08:59] <Falconis> "Sounds to me like the Russians are winning. The European land troops can't do much against the Beartic cavalry at the moment"
  61. [2013-10-13 22:15:55] <Jay> "Yeah, I've heard a mounted man is worth 3 on foot. I suppose it doesn't help when they're mounted on 8' tall warbears. But I disagree that they're winning."
  62. [2013-10-13 22:17:38] <Jay> Jay stops petting Tails and looks up. "The Russians are pressing their advantage, and are spreading their forces thin to try and establish control before anyone can mount a decent strike back."
  63. [2013-10-13 22:19:01] <Jay> "They're pushing all fronts...except this one." Jay smiles. "Which is, interestingly, the path that would let someone - the Japanese - strike back."
  64. [2013-10-13 22:19:48] <Falconis> Lei scratches his goatee thoughtfully "Thin? I don't know about that, they have a lot of land and a lot of pokemon, that their full force is fielded at the moment is doubtful"

  76. [2013-10-13 22:32:31] <Falconis> The general hops to his feet and makes a chirping sound

  79. [2013-10-13 22:33:17] <Falconis> He walks out of the western door
  80. [2013-10-13 22:34:49] <Jay> Jay pushes himself to his feet and glances back, trying to catch the eye of anyone else, before following General Lei with Tails bounding after.

  82. [2013-10-13 23:01:42] <Falconis> "Take care, it's a feisty mount"

  84. [2013-10-13 23:03:06] <Jay> Jay catches the ball and meets eyes with Tails before looking back at the General. "How far north?"

  86. [2013-10-13 23:04:00] <Falconis> He releases his own Zebstrika a powerful looking pokemon with muscles rippling under tight, scar covered flesh and hops on casually
  87. [2013-10-13 23:05:16] <Jay> Jay spins the ball up and releases the Zebstrika, catching the ball at it's apex, and looking at the striped beast.
  88. [2013-10-13 23:05:55] <Falconis> The Zebstrika looks around for it's trainer and then locates the ball in your hand
  89. [2013-10-13 23:06:05] <Falconis> it walks up to you ans stares you in the fae angrily
