(11:58:23 PM) ***Altea is back out of the weird hole in the ground with the vines and is deep in thought about IMPORTANT MATTERS. Like if she needs a new barrier jacket. Cause the sleeveless stuff is cool and all, but it also looks funky with a missing arm and maybe Rhi can come up with something more stylish that fits that better.
(11:58:36 PM) ***Altea is also wandering while thinking, a dangerous combination.
(11:59:14 PM) Ikiryo: Though it's also a sign of Altea's growth that she can do both at once. It's not long until she runs into someone.
(11:59:32 PM) ***Altea bumps into someone. "Oh, sorry about that!"
(8/1/2017 12:00:57 AM) Ikiryo: A beautiful, chocolate skinned woman is standing there with rainbow coloured hair, dressed in a white dress with faint patterns on it. Oh, it's Eztli and she looks a tad worried.
(12:01:16 AM) Altea: "Oh, hi Eztli! What's up? You look concerned."
(12:01:53 AM) Ikiryo: "...Oh, I'm just needing to deal with something important." She sighs. "I'd been hoping it would not come up for quite some time."
(12:02:09 AM) Altea: "Oh? Can I help?"
(12:03:17 AM) Ikiryo: She looks Altea up and down. "Perhaps. Are you willing to face great danger?"
(12:03:37 AM) Altea: "Of course!"
(12:04:14 AM) Ikiryo: "Are you sure...we won't be able to back out of this."
(12:04:57 AM) Altea: "I'm ready for whatever it is."
(12:06:11 AM) Ikiryo: "Alright then." She nods, shifting and growing. "Come then, climb on my back."
(12:06:22 AM) ***Altea CLIMBS ABOARD!
(12:07:32 AM) Ikiryo: Her large feathered wings beat...and she takes to the sky...a large gap in the sky opening up and revealing a rainbow passageway.
(12:08:40 AM) Altea: "Whoa, pretty!"
(12:11:10 AM) Ikiryo: "Hold on tight, it would not do to lose you." She heads for the rip, moving into an endless rainbow field. In every direction, Altea can see more dragons...all flying in the same direction.
(12:11:20 AM) ***Altea holds on.
(12:12:53 AM) Ikiryo: The beat of her wings lines up with others, all flying in unison. Altea even spots the red dragon she saw under the Jaeger mansion.
(12:13:26 AM) Altea: "Wow, what's so big that there needs to be so many dragons going there?"
(12:14:25 AM) Ikiryo: "A battle long ago past...but one we swore to watch over. The fall of a great king." She shakes her head.
(12:17:18 AM) ***Altea nods. "Which king?"
(12:19:18 AM) Ikiryo: "You would know them as the Saint King." Another portal opens...and the pair emerge into space, Altea still somehow able to breath. Down below a pair of huge ships are duking it out in combat, laser barrages from one of them and hordes of drones from the other...both look heavily damaged...and dragons fight in the space above them.
(12:19:51 AM) Altea: "So we're in the past? Cause I've already done that once recently."
(12:20:22 AM) Ikiryo: "That is a complex question...it is someone's past but it is also another future. Time is less straight than mortals think it is." She shakes her head.
(12:20:42 AM) Altea: "Huh. Okay, just tell me what I need to do."
(12:22:20 AM) Ikiryo: "There will be quite a few people between us and the king. It is our duty to take her from this place before she dies, as part of our sworn oath. However, I cannot use all my power in such a confined space."
(12:22:40 AM) ***Altea nods. "So I need to clear a path?"
(12:23:34 AM) Ikiryo: She nods. "Yes, if you can." She is flying down towards the larger ship as explosions rock it and parts break off into space...
(12:24:05 AM) ***Altea holds on tightly with her legs as she takes her hammer into her left hand. "I'm ready when you need me."
(12:25:26 AM) Ikiryo: "Alright, we are landing...now..." She feels the dragon disolving under her as she dives for a large hole in the ship, her human form landing gently on the floor of the room.
(12:25:55 AM) ***Altea hits the ground hard, but she's harder than it.
(12:27:13 AM) Ikiryo: Judging by the dents, yes she is. Alarms are blaring and people are speaking Belkan a lot over the intercom. Altea doesn't speak Belkan.
(12:27:39 AM) Altea: "Man, I should have asked Medraut for lessons. So are we here to fight the Belkans?"
(12:28:45 AM) Ikiryo: "We are here to retrieve the Saint King. We can fight if needed but it's not the priority." Oh dear, the bulkhead seems to be closing in front of them.
(12:29:06 AM) ***Altea dashes over to hold it open.
(12:29:45 AM) ***Altea ends up pulling it the wrong direction, so it can't really close now. Oh well. "C'mon, it looks like they're sealing this ship up."
(12:30:13 AM) Ikiryo: It's a massive bulkhead designed to stop enemy attack. It never stood a chance. Eztli nods, moving quickly. Unlike Altea, she seems to have no weapons.
(12:30:49 AM) ***Altea follows, staying close to her.
(12:31:44 AM) Ikiryo: As they head through various rooms, Altea sees a lot of people out cold or worse. This ship is in horrible state, it likely won't last long. However, a quartet of people in black spacesuits are heading her way. They have some sort of emblem on thier chest...eh, she doesn't know Belkan symbology.
(12:32:07 AM) Altea: "Hey, are you guys the ones we're supposed to beat up or the ones we're supposed to help?"
(12:33:00 AM) Ikiryo: They shout something in Belkan and go to stab her with swords and spears.
(12:33:29 AM) ***Altea sweeps their feet out from under them with her hammer. "Well that was rude. Were they the ones we were supposed to fight?"
(12:34:15 AM) Ikiryo: "If they try to block our way, yes." She nods and raises her hand. The black armoured people shudder...and fall still.
(12:34:32 AM) ***Altea nods.
(12:35:25 AM) Altea: "Alright, let's keep moving."
(12:36:25 AM) Ikiryo: They make it through various rooms, each room getting more decorative than the last one...until there is a crash and through a wall comes a heavy belkan war golem. Oh hey, she knows these ones! They were in the ship where they fought Orryx one time.
(12:38:34 AM) Altea: "Hey I recognize these! They were in a ship where I fought some jerk sun thing named Orryx one time!"
(12:38:47 AM) ***Altea bashes them apart with a hammer.
(12:39:42 AM) Ikiryo: "Ah, Orryx...a rather self important spirit if there ever was one." She nods as the golem is quickly reduced to scrap metal.
(12:40:42 AM) Altea: "How big is this ship anyway?" She's still moving forward.
(12:42:50 AM) Ikiryo: "The size of a small city...though we are close." Through the next room she finds a large command center...and slumped in the command chair is a young woman who vaguely reminds Altea of someone she's seen...maybe in one of Tazzari's videos? She's not sure.
(12:43:37 AM) Ikiryo:  She's dressed in shining armour marred by a large bloodstain around a chunk of the ship's hull that has pierced her side. Around her are various knights in armour kneeling and in some cases, crying. Oh hey, that one has a spear that looks just like Sephia's and that one looks a lot like Yvenne with that red hair.
(12:43:53 AM) ***Altea points. "Is that who we're here for? She looks important."
(12:44:51 AM) Ikiryo: "It is. Here dies the last true Saint King...unless we move quickly." She nods.
(12:45:14 AM) ***Altea nods, walking through the crowd. "Excuse me, scuse me, pardon me..."
(12:46:51 AM) Ikiryo: One of the knights stands up, reaching for that spear that looks so much like Sephia's.
(12:46:51 AM) ***Altea also puts her hammer through the loop on her back to free up her arm.
(12:47:09 AM) ***Altea raises her hand. "Hey, I'm with her, we're supposed to be here."
(12:48:22 AM) Ikiryo: The knight takes up a position between Altea and the fallen king, saying something in Belkan.
(12:48:43 AM) ***Altea sighs. "REALLY wishing I had talked to Medraut about speaking Belkan."
(12:49:02 AM) ***Altea looks to her Draconic companion. "Do you speak any Belkan?"
(12:50:10 AM) Ikiryo: "Of course, each language is a fraction of the true tongue." She nods
(12:50:37 AM) Altea: "Can you tell Ms. Azuhr-Rouze we're here to help?"
(12:51:52 AM) Ikiryo: "Ms Azuhr-Rouze?" She raises an eyebrow
(12:52:09 AM) Altea: "Yeah, she has Miss Sephia's spear."
(12:53:17 AM) Ikiryo: "Ah...no. That is Miss du Lac." She steps foward, saying some words of her own in Belkan and the knights step aside.
(12:53:55 AM) ***Altea walks forward, gently picking up the fallen Saint King with her good arm, holding her almost like a small child; arm under her bottom, leaning her against Altea's shoulder.
(12:54:38 AM) Ikiryo: Her breathing is very shallow, the knights all genuflecting before the dragon and Altea.
(12:55:00 AM) Altea: "What's the next step?"
(12:55:57 AM) Ikiryo: "Now we take her to the isle of rest." She starts heading for the way they came in...
(12:56:14 AM) ***Altea follows, keeping her hold on the Saint-King.
(12:57:15 AM) Ikiryo: On the way back, another group of those black clad knights attack and try to get the Saint King from Altea...but they stop and fall to the ground unmoving when Eztli raises a hand.
(12:57:39 AM) Altea: "So who are these ones in the black suits fighting for?"
(12:57:44 AM) ***Altea keeps moving, undaunted.
(12:59:29 AM) Ikiryo: "A clone of the Saint King, Medraut. Trying to kill her 'mother'." They soon arrive at the breach in the ship, the dragon stepping out into space and resuming her large form.
(1:00:03 AM) ***Altea climbs back aboard Eztli, holding onto the Saint King tightly. "Huh, I know a Medraut. I wonder if they're related."
(1:01:39 AM) Ikiryo: "They are not. She is named in honor of them but they are not a decended...for she dies today as well." The Saint King is cold and barely moving in Altea's arms as the dragon takes off...
(1:04:03 AM) Altea: "Hey, she's fading fast, we need to hurry!"
(1:04:37 AM) Ikiryo: The dragon nods, speeding up and the rainbow portal opening in front of her. "Hold her close, do not drop her."
(1:05:05 AM) ***Altea holds her, keeping her close, clinging to Eztli with her legs.
(1:06:16 AM) Ikiryo: The Saint King's breath getting slower and slower by the moment...as golden light appears before them. In the middle of the rainbow field of nothing...is a floating island, crystal spires reaching high up and a garden covering most of it.
(1:07:02 AM) Altea: "Wowwww..."
(1:08:07 AM) Ikiryo: The dragon sets herself down on the island, lowering her head so that Altea can get off her. "Please, set her on the dais." Up ahead there is a dias, empty and emblazoned with sigil after sigil. It looks big enough for a person.
(1:10:45 AM) ***Altea goes, holding her close, but wasting no time as she climbs up to it. She sets the Saint-King down gently.
(1:11:35 AM) Ikiryo: Her breath stops for the longest few seconds in Altea's life...then she starts to breath, the blood fading from her wound as she looks to be sleeping.
(1:12:27 AM) Ikiryo: The garden about Altea is odd. Full of flowers and plants she's never seen before...for one, she's never seen flowers come in 'Crystal' for the petals or bright shining gold apples.
(1:12:34 AM) ***Altea exhales, a sigh of relief. "We made it."
(1:12:41 AM) Altea: "So what is this place? It's beautiful."
(1:13:55 AM) Ikiryo: Eztli breaths a sigh of relief, shifting back into her human look to give Altea a hug. "Thank you. This place...it is a part of something lost. A people who tried to reach beyond thier grasp and paid the price for it. It stands as a last will and testement to the wonders they made."
(1:14:52 AM) ***Altea hugs back. "Glad to help. And that's interesting...so what's next for her?"
(1:15:51 AM) Ikiryo: "She needs time to rest and recover. She has come closer to death than many ever have...but in time, she will recover and will return when people need her. Her story has many chapters left to tell."
(1:16:44 AM) ***Altea nods, turning to the unconscious King and brushing her hair. "Good luck."
(1:17:34 AM) Ikiryo: "She will need it...there will be much heartache in her coming days...but also laughter and love and kind families." She smiles. "We would not let her tale be only one of sorrow."
(1:17:53 AM) ***Altea nods. "I wonder if we'll meet again."
(1:18:54 AM) Ikiryo: "Maybe not in this life...but perhaps in her next." She nods
(1:19:35 AM) Altea: "Alright. Man, today was weird. I went to the past twice."
(1:20:18 AM) Ikiryo: "Today, I fear, will not get less weird. Would you like to return, or rest a while?"
(1:21:35 AM) Altea: "I can hang out a bit. She sits down, leaning against one of the golden apple trees. "So you and Miss Herinth and the other dragons have something to do with the Saint King?"
(1:26:53 AM) Ikiryo: "We swore an oath with Merlin, long ago. She ended a great fight between two dragons, one white and one red." She nods. "In exchange for that, we promiced to watch over the Saint King and to take her to where she was needed when the time came."
(1:27:34 AM) ***Altea nods. "So it was that kind of deal, huh. How long ago was this from when we met?"
(1:33:44 AM) Ikiryo: "As I said...time is less straight than it seems for mortals." She smiles. "For your people...thousands of years as you count. Merlin was old when we first flew the skies and will be young when we are all gone."
(1:34:17 AM) ***Altea has to think real hard about all of that.
(1:35:33 AM) Ikiryo: The dragon gives her time to do so.
(1:36:24 AM) Altea: "I don't really get it, but I wonder if this was before or after the Giants landed on Francisco. We don't have a lot of history before the first Jaeger invasion, and that was fairly recent if we're talking thousands of years."
(1:37:04 AM) Ikiryo: "It was long before. Well before, as you count it, there was a Belka."
(1:44:16 AM) Altea: "Huh. Interesting. I always thought the Saint King was the ruler of Belka."
(1:46:25 AM) Ikiryo: "They are but the seeds must be planted before a tree can grow. Merlin planted the seeds long ago."
(1:46:39 AM) ***Altea has to think about this some more.
(1:48:36 AM) Ikiryo: Again she is given time
(1:48:53 AM) Altea: "I think this is a bit too complicated for me."
(1:48:58 AM) Altea: "Glad I could help though."
(1:51:57 AM) Ikiryo: "As am I. I am eternally thankful for your help." She smiles at Altea, giving her another hug.
(1:52:52 AM) Altea: "Well, if you need my help with anything else, let me know okay?"
(1:53:12 AM) ***Altea hugs back.
(1:53:20 AM) Ikiryo: She nods. "I will. Are you ready to return?"
(1:53:52 AM) Altea: "Yeah, let's go back to...wherever we were."
(1:54:48 AM) Ikiryo: She nods, shifting back into her dragonic form.
(1:55:47 AM) ***Altea climbs aboard, waving one last goodbye to the sleeping Saint King.
(1:56:39 AM) Ikiryo: Come along with me
(1:56:39 AM) Ikiryo: And the dragons and bees
(1:56:39 AM) Ikiryo: We can wander through the island
(1:56:39 AM) Ikiryo: And do so as we please.
