- A: After obtaining the Pokedex at the start of the run, trade your starter for a L100 Pokemon with a matching trainer ID. The matching ID tricks the game into thinking the Pokemon isn't traded, so it will always obey you. Then get the free Magikarp before Mt. Moon and trade it for a Mew that knows Cut, Fly, Surf and Strength. Then transfer a Soda Pop to your PC using the Pokemon Stadium 2 Color Case feature. This allows you to enter Saffron City early, skipping Rock Tunnel and the Celadon Mart roof detour.
