Blue: Leda (the Ledanese)

The republic of Leda find themselves on the northern island of Edina, which is mostly covered in ice. Most of the people that hail from Leda are adapted to the cold weather. It was established out of necessity for transporting goods between the settlements most in need of food. Most of their cities are self-managed by governors though there is a council that meet annually to discuss what is in their best interests. The city of Rossau is the largest in all of Leda, and so controls much of the regions trade after it passes through port towns such as Levelle and Yilsen.

They are known for their elite pegasi and dragon riders that have the ability to cross vast distances in a short amount of time and the Ledanese army often incorporates these in order to subjugate local banditry and to transport important materials across Leda. Since they are so far away from any of the southern nations, they have very little contact with them. However, they are in contact with Slaria and usually are even willing to send some of their troops to their side as allies. They have a hatred for Docomer because of the fighting that happened between them long ago and it still hasn't subverted.

Gray: Docomer (the Docomers)

Docomer find themselves with the most well trained and organized military - often made up of ranks of heavily trained soldiers and knights. The Seton family has ruled for generations and today is still no exception, with the king Frederick and his son prince Richard overseeing the kingdom. His father and his ancestors before believed there would be a time when all of humanity would be proud to call themselves Docomer, and while they are ambitious and looking to expand, they are smart enough to know when this would be unwise.

Docomer mostly finds itself in mountainous regions, especially south before the border to Tara and Altharia. Mostly they find themselves at ends with Leda - they had several battles with them in their history and it still holds old feelings in both nations.

Orange: Beles (the Belesians)

Beles finds itself mostly on the Paritana Island though it is currently waging a war on their holdings on the Velosias Island just south of Paritana. Beles is the undeniable home of seafaring in the whole land of Rivesca, and even many of the other nations ships are constructed in Beles. Beles is one of the biggest tourist resorts in the land, with their capital Suton being home to plenty of markets and entertainers, dancers and musicians. They find themselves as mainly a merchant nation that has for the most part stayed out of other nations affairs, there have been some things to suggest that they are ambitious - there current war with the natives of Velosias Island and expansion more and more west on Paritana has made the other nations wonder if they are capable of a full-scale invasion with their vast wealth and navy.

Piracy is common in and around the seas surrounding Beles, so any ships into the area are often filled with mercenaries for safety. The Agenanno brothers lead Beles currently. They have had a few incidents with Vanaan and so there is definitely a feeling of resentment between the two nations, and Slaria's anxiety about their expansion has also raised a few questions.

Yellow: Vanaan (the Vanaans)

The Vanaans occupy the island Mauras, most of it filled with plains and dusty terrain. They are rather isolated from both their location and their diplomatic position from the rest of Rivesca. Most of the land they have was united under the horde leader Aqain Catho, who turned them from a collection of tribes into an actual force. They hold the majority of their power in the maturing city of Suaxules in the center of Maruas. Various tribes have allied against them to attack their borders repeatedly from the small parts of land that these tribes still control. They include the Loxorani in the northwest, the Varanna to southwest and the Dessau to the southeast. Despite the Vanaans power over these smaller tribes, their power was spread over a good part of land and the hit and run tactics were beginning to diminish the borders.

Aqain has decided to finally turn his attention to this, and so has mobilized his own army to wipe out the rebels after several attempts at diplomacy had failed. Vanaan generally does not keep in contact with any of the other nations and there have been a few scuffles between them and troops from Beles as well as uncertainty from both sides causing friction.

Green: Slaria (the Slarese)

Slaria is often seen as the home of knowledge and the Observatory, the seat of mages is found to the very east peaks of Slaria. The mages of Slaria have been known to have immense magical affinity and power for centuries. It is known throughout the land that Slaria obtained its name through the hero Fayne Slara, who was said to have liberated humanity from their dragon masters with the help of the immensely powerful spell, Pallas Leia. She then established the lands of Slaria to unite humanity under a new light.

The leaders of Slaria have often passed between various mages throughout the ages but one theme is common - often the most knowledgable or capable mages are made into the rulers. Xeela Jenia is the current queen of Slaria. They are anxious about Beles expanding as they believe that with the amount their wealth and their mercenary power they could be a serious threat not just to Slaria but any other nation in Rivesca.

Red: Tara (the Tarans)

Leader: Ascain Ismil
Main class types: Archer, Fighter, Mercenary

The Tarans have been dwellers in the Sena Desert for years, and they all know how to navigate its perilous conditions very well. They, along with the Altharians, were united under the empire of Otela before years of strife and corruption divided the two nations into east and west. There was a fierce war over the area before a ceasefire was reached recently and has holded ever since. The gulf in between the nations is known for being extremely dangerous with both bandits and deserters from the armies of Tara and Altharia having known settlements there.

Ascain Ismil is the current king of Tara having come to power through a revolution, violently disposing of the previous Losia family as rulers and ushering in an new age for the Tarans after the horrible conditions Tara was left in after the split from the Otela empire. While he has no experience as a king, Ascain has been know to be sly and cunning and certainly capable and charismatic. He signed the ceasefire with the Altharians as both nations have suffered greatly. With him as their ruler, the Tarans have enjoyed well-needed relief from their days of strife and try to live their days in peace. He seeks to reach out to the people of Altharia to also overthrow their current leader and perhaps join with Tara.

Purple: Altharia (the Altharians)

Leader: Serhiel Osta (?), various Dukes.
Main class types: Fighter, Free Knight, Lance Knight

While the Tarans are mainly located in the Sena Desert, Altharia finds its terrain to be more managable, with forests and lakes being strewn throughout the land. They, along with the Tarans, were united under the empire of Otela before years of strife and corruption divided the two nations into east and west. Corruption was rife in Serhiel's government before and after the split with Tara, which subsequently lead to the war against them that has now reached a necessary ceasefire. Serhiel has been forced to go into hiding as the citizens of Altharia have seen what the Tarans have done to overthrow the leaders after the split and are calling for Serhiel to answer for years of corruption and oppression.

While the people of Altharia are directing their angry at Serhiel and the oppression they have lived under for many years, Altharia does have strong cavalry units that hail from the region and they wish to reinstate their proud history of being a well-respected nation that they have lost recently with all the fighting with the Tarans and their own civil war that is currently happening between getting rid of Serhiel or attempting to unite both countries together with Tara once again, hoping Ascain will yield a more fruitful union.
