  3. INFO: Phandelin Status Update
  4.
  5.
  6. Bottom-line Up Front: Effective as of the time of this writing, Phandelver mine has been secured with operations to begin within the next tenday, and the town continues to develop swiftly toward full prosperity.
  7.
  8. No Immediate Action Required: No immediate action required above and beyond the original Lord’s Alliance mission plan. See secondary requests below.
  9.
  10. Background:
  11.
  12. • A group of lawful adventurers was employed at nominal expense to subdue the Red Brand gang that had infested Phandelin. Red Brand gang neutralized; same adventurers persist as a useful tool for maintaining order in the area of operations.
  13.
  14. • Lord’s Alliance operative Iarno Albrecht was freed from the magical influence of the local gang leader, a mage known as Glasstaff, by the adventuring group under the Alliance’s employ. Iarno has recuperated and now continues operating on the Alliance’s behalf. Among the group is a cleric, skilled in a variety of healing arts, who has proved a boon to the health of the town.
  15.
  16. • Gang leader Glasstaff was apprehended at my behest, but staged a violent escape attempt while awaiting transportation to a lawful trial in Neverwinter, and, regrettably, had to be slain for the sake of civillian safety.
  17.
  18. • I arrived to find the location of Phandelver Mine lost along with the dwarves who had rediscovered it. Again leveraging the local adventurers available to me, the mine was found and cleared of all influences. All but one of the dwarves was recovered intact.
  19.
  20. • Phandelin’s economy continues to develop at a healthy pace, with new arrivals and business opportunities arising at a prodigious rate. While the town has proven very receptive to lawful organization and peacekeeping has generally been easy, the quickness of the expansion initially proved difficult for my small staff to properly regulate. To this end, the adventuring group continues to be a primary asset. More scribes will be highered from the common fund to close further bureaucratic gaps.
  21.
  22. REQUEST: Authorization for local tax collection to commence, thereby funding the further establishment of lawful institutions within the immediate region.
  23.
  24. • I found it necessary to deputize one of the adventurers, a warrior named Bryk, in the period prior to Iarno’s return to full service. It is my steadfast belief in observing these adventurers over the past several months that their motives and desire for lawful peacekeeping and well regulated trade are fully in line with the goals of our own organization. Furthermore, they are well aware of the need forbacting with discretion in referencing the Alliance itself.
  25.
  26. REQUEST: Authorization to allow the warrior Bryk, and his allies to travel under the Alliance’s seal, and be provided access, information, and support commensurate to Alliance operatives acting in such capacities. Please update Alliance records accordingly.
  27.
  28. • Efforts to research the Phandelin spell forge quickly fell short due to the scarcity of local resources. To this end, I may send one or more of my local personnel to seek further information among the mages of Silverymoon.
  29.
  30. REQUEST: Alert Silverymoon Lord’s Alliance contacts to prepare to assist this mission, which travels with a Lord’s Alliance recommendation.
  31.
  32. CONCLUSION: Phandelin mission a success. If next steps deviate from original objectives, please advise via return courier. Otherwise, will continue based on previous mission orders.
  33.
  34. Your sworn and faithful servant,
  35. Sildar Hallwintet
