  1. >Things had been rough since leaving the White Fang
  2. >Food was scarce, supplies were running low, and morale was nearly non-existent
  3. >He had to do something to turn their fortunes around, but what?
  4. >"Sir."
  5. >He turned to see one of the eleven that had joined him
  6. >"Yes?"
  7. >"We've been sent a transmission requesting your presence at this location tonight. We don't know who it's from or how it got here."
  8. >"Let me see it."
  9. >He looked at the scroll the Faunus handed him
  10. >Sure enough, there was no way of knowing who sent this, or why
  11. >Maybe this is what he was looking for though
  12. >"Tell the Captain's they're in charge. I'll go check this out myself."
  13. >"Yes sir."
  14. >The Faunus saluted before going off to inform his three superiors
  15. >He turned and grabbed his chainsaw before slinging it on his back
  16. >He looked at the mirror and saw his face the first time in what seemed like an eternity
  17. >Since defecting from the White Fang, he stopped wearing his mask, but for this, he probably should
  18. >He grabbed the mask off the counter and turned to leave
  19. >He found the meeting spot just after the sun went down
  20. >It was in an alley near the wall where the breach happened
  21. >Most people had relocated further into Vale, so the area was basically deserted
  22. >It was the perfect spot for a couple of wanted individuals to meet
  23. >He stood in the alley and waited for what seemed like forever
  24. >Thinking he felt a presence, he turned around
  25. >There she was, standing at the end of the alley
  26. >What was her name?
  27. >Neo or something
  28. >"So, it was you. What do you want?"
  29. >She smiled at him, tilting her head slightly
  30. >"... You want me to free Torchwick?"
  31. >Her eyes, did they just change color?
  32. >"What's in it for us? We're not with the White Fang anymore, so we don't take orders from you."
  33. >He thought for a moment
  34. >It was a tempting offer, enough supplies, food, and cash to last them well over a year
  35. >"Alright. Fine. You don't have to beg. But. I want half of our payment right away."
  36. >She grins before shattering
  37. >He never understood what this girl's deal was
  38. >Turning to leave, he stopped in his tracks
  39. >There it was; crates of supplies and food, briefcases of cash
  40. >Leave it to her
  41. >He sat crouched on a hill overlooking an SDC refueling station in the Forever Fall Forest
  42. >With him was his female captains and two other Faunus
  43. >The other two captains had their own squads on two other hills around the base
  44. >If their intel was correct, the Atlesian ship carrying Roman Torchwick was scheduled to land here any minute now
  45. >Sure enough, the sound of the ship soon filled the skies
  46. >He gave a signal as the transport came into view
  47. >He looked through a pair of binoculars as the ship begins to land
  48. >He looks around, then focuses on a door that opens
  49. >Is that that Schnee bitch?
  50. >Why was she here?
  51. >His question was soon answered as Ironwood exits the ship and walks over to her
  52. >They go inside as workers run about, hooking up fuel lines
  53. >He gives the signal, and the three groups converge on the station
  54. >The Faunus sneak through the forest before slowly moving through the station
  55. >Workers find themselves looking down at blood seeping from their throats before they get dragged back to the forest
  56. >After a few moments, the Faunus reemerge from the forest, dressed as the SDC workers
  57. >They move through the station and board the transport
  58. >Once on board, they quickly move through the hold, one of the Faunus plugging his scroll into a control panel
  59. >"How long?"
  60. >"10 seconds."
  61. >The tension was thick as the group slowly spread out, though staying within earshot of each other
  62. >"Main hold, cell 3A."
  63. >He gave a signal and the two other teams made their way to the main hold
  64. >His squad was staying behind to hold the door
  65. >He wasn't sure when Ironwood would be back, or if that Schnee would be with him
  66. >"You look nervous.. Sir.."
  67. >He smiled softly to the Faunus
  68. >"Excited is a better word."
  69. >Oh how he'd love to fight that white bitch again
  70. >This time, she wouldn't be as lucky to escape him
  71. >His wish appeared to be granted, as the door to the complex slid open
  72. >There she was, standing next to Ironwood
  73. >He takes his chainsaw off his back and looks at his captain then the other two Faunus
  74. >"Keep Ironwood busy. You protect him. Don't lose connection. We need to keep the ship grounded until they get Torchwick."
  75. >The Faunus nod as the general and Huntress begin approaching the ship, flanked by a pair of SDC guards
  76. >Weiss draws her sword, noting a lack of workers refueling the ship
  77. >"Something wrong?"
  78. >"The workers are gone. Something's up."
  79. >She flips backwards just as he lands in front of where she was, his chainsaw tearing into the ground where she just stood
  80. >"You again!"
  81. >She starts making a glyph, but he quickly closes the distance and swings his chainsaw at her
  82. >His quick attack forces her to stop and block it with her sword
  83. >The two SDC guards raise their weapons only to get quickly put down by the two Faunus
  84. >One of them hangs back on the ship while the other jump in front of Ironwood, holding a sword between them
  85. >"You're not going anywhere."
  86. >Weiss quickly attempts a series of rapid stabs, but he lifts his chainsaw and blocks them easily
  87. >He slashes his massive blade, sending her rapier aside before he quickly punches her stomach
  88. >The force of the punch sends her skidding backwards and she loses her balance, falling over
  89. >He quickly lunges, bringing his chainsaw down where she lay
  90. >Narrowly rolling to the side, she stands just in time to duck and avoid getting decapitated by the spinning blade
  91. >She flips backwards, landing softly and makes a glyph before he could react
  92. >He moves to attack her, but finds himself frozen in place by her semblance
  93. >She aims her sword at his neck and slides forward using her glyph, aiming to end his life
  94. >An explosion occurs just in front of Weiss, forcing her to stop her attack
  95. >Both of them turn to see Roman standing at the ship's exit, holding his cane pointed at her
  96. >Neo was next to him
  97. >Now how the hell did she get here?
  98. >No matter
  99. >The distraction was enough to free him from her magic, and he moved to bring his chainsaw down on her head when he heard a scream
  100. >He turned just in time to see his captain get sent into a pile of crates near the refueling station's pump
  101. >Ironwood was closing in on her, a wicked grin plastered on his face
  102. >He broke away from his fight and charged him
  103. >So caught up in his victory, the general didn't anticipate the tackle that sent him to the ground
  104. >They two landed with a slam, and Ironwood didn't have time to gather himself before a fist came smashing into his face, knocking him out
  105. >"Well, this is all good and well, but I suggest we get moving before their friends arrive."
  106. >He turned to the source of the words only to find that Roman was watching him carefully
  107. >He nodded, giving the hand signal the Faunus had been waiting for
  108. >The quickly began their retreat into the forest, Roman and Neo with them
  109. >He quickly moved over to the crates and lifted his captain onto his back, carrying his chainsaw with one hand as he made his escape
  110. >Weiss quickly went over to Ironwood
  111. >Thankfully, there would be no chase today
