  1. Right, so I wrote this to keep my thought organised as I worked, you can read it if you want. It's very rambly.

  11. TIme is Life (Tentative TItle)

  13. You are an oval. In your world time is a valuable transferable naturally ocurring resource. You can kill others to take their time but you lose yours if you are damaged as well. Time also slowly drains naturally at a rate of one second per second under normal cicurmstances. It has been discovered that armor crafted from certain minerals can reduce one's loss of time or slow one's clock.

  15. So you fight things and try to steal their time while they conversely do the same. You can spend your time in the shop to get armor.

So I'm thinking along the lines of time being a currency like in the movie "In Time" (good movie btw, I'd recommend it) So I'm thinking you start with 10 seconds (there's the theme for you) and you have to collect more time and you are able to use your time as money to buy weapons and such so we'll see where that leads.

  45. So what kind of enemies do you fight? Maybe they can drain your time? Maybe they have they're own time that you can steal from them? That sounds REALLY cool actually. Maybe you'll only be able to get time as a drop from enemies. Maybe time can be like experience and let you level up. This is sounding awesome! SO not denominations but just all the time they're carrying. Maybe when you shoot them they lose some time, it just kinda flies off of em. I gotta just try coding this, wow really effective brainstorm! :D

  101. Not more health, time is health. Not a better weapon because all creatures have a max drop of 120 seconds. Ammo maybe?
  102. Special items, maybe they decrease the amount of time you lose? Maybe one slows your clock for awhile?

  108. I haven't really been talking about what I've been doing but I just finished (I think) implementing armor so in a way there are cool hats. I gotta think of more cool things for them to do. So far they can slow your clock and reduce the amount of time you drop, which is cool, but if I'm gonna have any that decrease those (which is necessary for balance) I need other positive things that can happen. Hmmmm.

  116. Okay, had a good long break. TIme for to go. Now I gotta think, I don't really know how to random generation yet and don't have time to learn. How will I make this fun? I need design doc.

  118. Maybe I should implement minigames. That would really add to the 10 seconds theme. An arcade where you spend most of your time your time literally. Hmm...
  119. It could be like the one in Super Paper Mario how if you do well enough you can earn some more money or in this case time. The initial cost would have to be pretty high and the payout pretty low but not too far in either direction. I'm liking this more and more. :D I'll have to code more minigames. That is how I best thrive is on coding but that could end up being a lot considering I only have 18 hours left unless I enter the Jam which I don't really want to do. Hmm... I think I could code some 10 second minigames. THey'd have to be really fast paced. You start with 10 seconds and can collect more ingame. Really fast games would mean you'd have to collect the time really quickly and not screw up to have a chance. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....?!?!

  121. So it costs a minute let's say to play a game. So you put a minute in and your IGT is 10 seconds. You have to play well enough to go over that to have a chance, meanwhile your out of game time will be ticking. Hmmmm. THis sounds really awesome and uses the them well for once! :D I think I can code now, thanks brain! :D :D :D :D :D
