- ''The following was found near the bed of a victim who was attacked by these "ones in the darkness". The victim managed to fend off the assailant, and was brought to a nearby hospital for severe and life threatening injuries, however they are expected to recover. Included is a drawing based off of descriptions of the victim. The writing has been made more readable for the case. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.''
- We are the ones in the darkness unseen
- The ones that tears you at the seams
- Our eyes and jaws and teeth will gleam
- You will see my gleam but be hooked before you scream
- My pointers are longer then my hand and arm
- My neck long so you see no harm
- Until harm drags you to my home of shadowed depths
- Tear out your throat and lungs to silence the gurgled breaths
- Two arms and four legs manifest to those who can see
- But for me, those who can see pose a threat to me
- Our skin is tough, but most necks are frail
- Ours longer than most, three times thine own tails
- They we must kill quick, or through shadow gates
- How we travel through, none know but the fates
- But from one dark to the next our path of blood and flesh
- Serrated teeth, sounds of chalk scratched like mesh
- Clomp your neck or hook it, that’s up to us
- But soon you’ll be dragged, so why put up a fuss?
- For soon, your bones in your bed placed, and stripped clean
- By one of us, the ones in the darkness unseen[[File:I_am_the_one.jpg|thumb|The ones, as described by a witness.]]
