OK thank you. I'm not looking for support, just reporting a bug like they posted on the blog yesterday.

I installed the PPA with the command: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lubuntu-dev/backports

I then ran sudo apt update and then sudo apt upgrade.

This without problems. Two packages were left withheld: libqt5xdg3 and libqt5xdgiconloader3

I ran sudo apt dist-upgrade and it uninstalled the entire desktop. When logging in I no longer had the LXQt-Desktop option, hahaha.

From TTY remove the PPA, remove those packages and reinstall the lubuntu-desktop package and everything is back to normal.
