background;  rubylyn mendoza, also known as kang minah was born on june 7th, 1995 in manila. rubylyn lived in the philippines most of her life. she lived with her parents and lived a normal life. while living in the philippines, she would always go around to local shops and help out, she would even get money for it. she would give all of the money to her parents, because she appreciates them with all of her heart. years later, a typhoon strikes the philippines hard. rubylyn and her family lost everything. their house, their money, everything. this put her family in desperate need, but thankfully rubylyn kept some emergency money in her emergency bag. so, rubylyn and her parents decided to move to korea, where the rest of her family lives. after moving to korea, her family decided to stay with her cousins. they slowly started to rebuild their life, even though it would take them months or maybe even years. rubylyn was also diagnosed with depression after she came to korea, because of what happened to her family. a year later, her family was still trying to rebuild. rubylyn's depression got worse. so, rubylyn, decided to start dancing to get rid of her depression, so she can be happy again. after that, she went to audition for woollim, which she got accepted into. she trained there for almost 5 years, training with the memberz of lovelyz and golden child. then, she had to leave woollim because the company felt like she wasn't suitable for them.
