  1. Para-Bolter
  2. May be fired in one of two configurations: As a pistol, with the stock and barrel extension removed, or as a full size bolter, with the aforementioned components in place. Both count as Best Craftsmanship, and cannot jam. It may be reconfigured as an Extended Action taking 1.5 turns.

  5. Has the following rules when configured as a Pistol:
  6. Concealable: The pistol can be broken down even further, allowing the basic components to be split apart and spread around your person. A searcher suffers -20 to their test to detect the weapon. The weapon may be broken down from its pistol configuration as a Full Action (5 seconds), and reassembled as an Extended Action taking two Turns (10 seconds). If reassembly is interrupted, add an additional Turn to whatever remaining time there was.
  7. Has the following attachments when configured as a Basic weapon:
  8. Silencer: Although bolts are explosive, and the impact of such a round cannot actually be silenced, the operating sounds of the bolter are heavily muffled. Through a combination of powered pneumo-ejectors giving the round an extra shove and a delayed bolt-fuse igniter to keep the rocket motor from activating immediately, the firer’s location is effectively concealed. At least, this is what the technical manual says. In actuality, a stummer unit is tied to the trigger and activated for several seconds after firing, nullifying the operating sounds in the area around the weapon. All tests to notice the firer’s location suffer a -20, and may only be attempted at half the normal range.
  9. Red-Dot Laser Sight: A red dot emitted from below the weapon’s barrel, giving an indication of where the shot will land. Grants a +10 to Single Shot attacks. The target or his comrades are obliged a -20 Awareness check to notice the red-dot and take appropriate action.
  10. Suspensalizers: A unique improvement by the Dark Mechanicus, the barrel rests inside of a suspensor field that automatically adjusts to account for the firer’s own movement. The effect is hardly noticeable at close range, but at extreme range, shots are much more accurate than they would be normally. Gains the “Gyro-Stabilized” rule, causing shots further than long range to only suffer the penalty for long range. Maximum range of 4x still applies.
  11. In-Frame Mag-Lock: May be attached to a metallic surface, with its paired mag-lock in the glove of the user. May be summoned to user’s hand as a Free Action.
