52. The war is over and almost everyone has experienced a loss. Agent Peggy Carter has lost the love of her life. To top it off, when billionaire Howard Stark is accused of Treason, he secretly employs her to clear his name. With the help of Stark's butler, she embarks on a whimsical journey full of deceit, murder and controversy with a side of wise-cracking roommates.
 53. Marvel's Agent Carter, starring Captain America's Hayley Atwell, follows the story of Peggy Carter. It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life-Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, along with the short Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.
 54. It was a double-pilot night for the latest addition to the Marvel franchise/saga and I am happy to write I was not disappointed. Taking place in the 40's, with hints of post WWII as pseudo- narrative backdrop against the fantasies dreamed up by Stan Lee, Agent Carter adds a stylish touch to what may be best described as pre-quel to the mammoth story-line the smart folks at Marvel are weaving, this time as a precursor to "Shield", piggybacking on Captain America. The real standout to me, is our protagonists, Peggy Carter ( adroitly played by Hayley Atwell) who's strength on her own is enough to carry the entire show on her shoulders. Yes, she's that good and commanding in her role. She has all the right elements, the camera loves her, and her character earned my respect almost immediately. It's great to see more & more women being cast as power figures. Carter has the unfortunate circumstance of living thru the male/sexist dominated era but she doesn't whine about it, she walks the walk. She's nobody's fool. All of the necessary production values are here: solid directing, writing and editing, detailed and good looking. They really capture the essence of that era with lighting, set-design, technology, and costuming. The era-specific music goes a long way to tie everything together. Not the best show on ALL of TV but may be the best new show on network TV and a pleasure to watch until Shield return.
 55. The Typewriter/Fringe thing that's already been mentioned - jumped straight out. More importantly I can't understand how some of the obvious anachronisms slip by. This is a mega-dollars TV productions and I was wondering how at no point someone looked some of the scipt and didn't say, "Er, excuse me...". Ther'se a crying need for a script editor with a wider knowledge than Hollywood. 1. Opening scene. 1946 and Carter is using a modern paper teabag. I didn't see a teabag until around 1970.I know gauze tea bags were in existence earlier in America, although they didn't reach the UK until the 50s or take off until the late 60s. But a Brit using a teabag? I don't think so. Prejudiced me against the show in the first 5 minutes. 2. Customer complaining about their BLT, a term that wasn't in use until the late 50s at the earliest. Probably 60's 3. We'll ignore the mobile phone as I assume this is supposed to be a Stark invention.

Somehow I just felt that no one on the editing team had a very good sense of placing this in time. It felt terribly inauthentic.

Something odd about the sound editing too.
