- [11:48] Fenes asks, "So um... is it a big enough room for you?"
- [11:51] Looking around the empty room, he would give a quick nod. "Yes.. I.. Think it's actually far too big." He would admit.
- Revan was a man of necessity, he would put a bed roll down and be content enough with the space. The rest was simply excess, and he would begin to think of ways he could utilize the space most efficiently.
- "I could.. Put multiple beds down.. And we could use this as.. Another communal space for our guild members.. We can keep the doors locked.. make it more private."
- Looking around some more as he rubbed his chin. ".. Perhaps.. I could speak with Shasta.. Find where his old home was.. And see if we cannot get some planets installed up there.. And begin growing reagents much closer to base.. And without.. All the snow."
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:54] Valero Task says, "-I."
- [11:54] Valero Task says, "Huh."
- [11:54] Valero Task says, "I didn't think I'd actually find you here."
- [11:54] Revan Task asks, ".. Oh.. Hello Valero.. Every heard of knocking?"
- [11:54] Valero Task asks, "Why would I?"
- [11:54] Fenes says, "Hi."
- [11:55] Revan Task says, "... Fenes.. This is my youngest brother.. Valero"
- [11:55] Fenes says, "oh, Nice to meet oyu."
- [11:55] Valero Task asks, "Youngest?"
- [11:55] Fingar says, "Oh. I didn't expect to find you here."
- [11:55] Valero Task says, "No, no, no, no."
- [11:55] Valero Task exclaims, "Only our father knows which one of us is the oldest!"
- [11:56] Valero Task says, "And by extention, the youngest. "
- [11:56] Revan Task says, "You carry yourself like the youngest. "
- [11:56] Valero Task asks, "Do I now?"
- [11:56] Fenes looks around the space, nodding at Revan's words as he considered what to do with the Room. she smiled a bit, before Valero had entered the room.
- (Fenes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:56] Fenes says, "Hmnh. good idea Revan."
- [11:57] Revan Task asks, "... How is your eye doing, brother?"
- [11:57] Fenes says, "And Again.. Nice to meet you Valero, I'm Fenes."
- [11:57] Revan Task says, "I can see.. Not well."
- [11:57] Valero Task says, "Apologies. I'm Valero, the greatest of Dun's triplets."
- [11:57] Valero Task says, "And my eye is fine."
- [11:57] Fenes says, "Well... alright"
- [11:57] Revan Task asks, ".. What brings you to alabastre?"
- [11:57] Valero Task says, "The crystal prosthetic... While functional, is more annoying than I'd care to admit, so I just covered it up."
- [11:57] Valero Task says, "And I came here in search of you."
- [11:58] Revan Task asks, "... For any particuliar reason? Other than to disappoint me?"
- [11:58] Valero Task says, "Out of boredom. It's been sometime since we've had a chat."
- [11:59] Valero Task says, "Banri told me you spend most of your time here, so I figured I'd come and grace you with my presence."
- [11:59] Fenes says, "Oh, Ban told you..."
- [12:00] Fingar crosses his arms remaining silent not wanting to interrupt the uneasy reunion between Revan and the stranger who turns out to be his brother.
- (Fingar)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:02] Fingar's face expression might indicate that he is still rather lethargic even though he slept for so long.
- (Fingar)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:02] So it did seem he just come to get on his nerves. Though his younger brother raised a good point, it had been far too long since he had spoken to either of his brothers.. He actually missed Hades a fair bit, wondering how he was doing.
- ".. So it seems.. What have you been up to?" He would ask, tilting his head to the side. "I.. Am one of the Cofounders of a guild.. Though.. Banri probably told you this, if you know each other."
- Banri and Revan had never been on the same page, much like the two brothers. It would be no surprise to the bandage boy that the two of them got along.
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:08] With his usual smug grin on his face, Valero would simply fold his arms across his chest, as he focused his one good eye on his brother. Oh how he had missed getting on Revan's nerves.
- "Oh, you know me. Hanging around Theria, mining, and assisting Hades when I can." There was something else he'd been up to, but it's best to keep that secret.
- For now at least.
- "And believe it or not. He didn't. Our conversations usually involve me making fun of him." Valero pauses for a moment, before shrugging. "In fact! He only mentioned you being here in passing. Though he did show me your little guilds base."
- "It's... Decent, I suppose."
- That was the closest thing to a compliment that Revan was going to get from Valero.
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:11] Fenes frowned at Valero, apparently he was the type to get himself into trouble rather a lot. Hearing about Banri telling him about the guild, showing it rather, was a strange thought, but, well, he was Revan's brother.
- She didn't interrupt them talking to each other, but something made her ears perk up... and lower as she looked at the ground. Even though anyone else kept telling her that the guild hall was nicely arranged and looked nice, hearing Valero's words still stung her, somehow.
- "..Only.. decent? I'm the one who decorated it."
- She'd say, before lifting her head back up towards him, letting out a sigh.
- "Are you.. just the type to make fun of others...?"
- (Fenes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:19] Golden hues would be pried from the redhead as he would look back to the Ookami, who would be hurt in the crossfire of Valero's half assed compliment. Returning to his brother, he would spy Fingar standing in the background.
- This will be a good lesson in learning how to jab back at someone.
- ".. I wouldn't expect anyone of your unrefined taste to appreciate the tact and thoughtfulness put into arranging such a magnificent guild hall."
- Though hearing that his brothers were still in close contact, he would find himself focusing on that as he would try to make the target of his brother's fun back to him.
- "Oh? And how has Hades been? I imagine he is actually accomplishing some amazing things with his Alchemy.. Where can I find him, these days?"
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:26] Valero's one good eye drifts from his brother, and over towards the Ookami standing next to him. His smug grin seems to only widen at their words. "Yes." He'd answer in response to their question, before his gaze shifted back over towards his older-younger brother.
- "Is this your girlfriend or something?"
- Though it seems like his brother had the nerve to try, and insult him back. Which results in the Valero unfold his arms to offer a rather slow, sarcastic clap for his brother.
- "Scathing. Whatever will I do now that some simpleton has insulted my tastes? I suppose my only option is get down on my knees, and repent." The youth snickers, before shaking his head, and rolling his eyes. "You're going to have to try harder than that, Revan."
- Though he does pause for a moment, to fold cease his clapping, letting his arms simply hang by his side.
- "But yes. Hades has been doing exceptionally well for himself with his alchemical skills, and most days you can find him in Theria."
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:26] Fingar widens his eyes at Valero seeing him challenging Revan to a banter.
- (Fingar)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:32] Fenes's ears lowered a bit more at Valero's confirmation of 'decentness' o f the guild hall. She let out a frown, looking down for a few seconds, before the Jade green eyes simple looked towards Revan's brother, expression softening, and a smile appearing on her face. Revan's words were.. comforting, really. And would've almost made her blush a bit if she didn't focus right now.
- "Yeah, getting on your knees would be a nice start. It needs quite ab it to correct some real bad tastes.", she giggled, before shaking her head. "I'm not Revan's girlfriend..."
- She then leaned a bit back, starting to sway on her feet as she thought back to Hades, remembering Revan's description of him. She barely had bumped into him, and he told her she had nice eyes before running off. A strange one, he was.
- "At least Hades seems to be cool."
- She wouldn't add much more to the conversation now, even with a jab back, she'd stay silent."
- (Fenes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:52] There would be a brief moment that the bandaged boy would be knocked off kilter with his brother's assumption of his relation with Fenes. There was certainly a nerve struck in one way or another, told only by the widening of his golden hues.
- He would simply shake his head, how would he recover from this? He was thankful that the ookami had atleast set him up for another zinger.
- "Mmm.. So quick to offer yourself on your knees to another man? It makes me think it's something you've done before."
- One assumption for another, he would cross his arms. They could quite literally be here all day, slinging insults and undermining one another. The only way to truly stop one another was to either pull one away, or one of the two becoming so enraged they settled it in a fight.
- "Mm.. yes, Hades is the better of the two.." Remembering that his brother was unconscious during the operation to replace his eye, Revan would assume he did not realize that Revan was practicing medicine.
- "Oh, do be sure to tell Hades if he is ever hurt, I am happy to treat him.. I've been studying medicine for a good while now.. And.. That extends to you as well.. Of course.. You are still my brother.. Despite how much I may bemoan it."
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:04] "I suppose I was expecting a bit too much out of you then, Revan. Shameful, really."
- Fenes', and his brother's next comment, causes his smirk to dip, only for a moment, before it returned in it's full glory. His arrogance truly knew no bounds.
- "Ohohoho. Quite the common insult there. Perhaps you need to go back to the drawing board to come up with something a tad bit more... Unique, but I suppose that's the best you can do, isn't it? It's nothing to be ashamed of, but once more, you'll need to do better."
- Valero simply shrugs, as he moves his hand to rest on the back of his head, quietly mumbling a few things to himself, before nodding.
- "But yes. Out of the two of you, Hades is the superior one." A light chuckle would escape from his lips, before a brow would be quirked. It seems like his brother had finally finished studying medicine.
- "Took you long enough."
- A snicker followed.
- "I'd sooner trust a dog to treat me than you." Ironic considering his brother helped add in his new eye. Though, it's not like he was aware of that. "But, I'll make sure to let Hades know of your new, and only useful skill."
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:09] The Ookami lifted an eyebrow, was his only way of getting back at them to undermine their own jabs at him? It wasn't exactly that good either, was it? Eh, either way this wouldn't affect her at all, she gave a shrug.
- "Like I'd care about what Someone as insecure as you would think.. For trying to put other people down, you'd need to be super insecure about yourself."
- She waved the comment away, before focusing on the rest of Valero's comments, she kept swaying left to right, the Jade eyes looking around the room in curiosity.
- "Hmm. At least Both Hades and Revan developed a good skill, what did you develop? Anything at all?"
- A genuine question this time, but it could be seen as another jab at him once again. The Ookami turned her head towards Revan, smiling at him before looking back at Valero.
- "He has a few useful skills, you just don't know them. Not like you seem to care aboutanyone."
- (Fenes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:20] It was true, it was a somewhat low blow of his, rather unimaginative. Though Revan never prided himself on his conversational skills, he found it easier when slinging insults back at Valero. Though, he did give him plenty to work with.
- He would find that Fenes was even better at this, however, and he would be taking mental notes as she picked apart the redhead's insults, asking him what he accomplished.
- A wicked grin would come across his face, his brother had said all he had done was mining, the same thing he had done since they were allowed to leave the manor.
- "Oh yes, dearest brother, please tell me what you have learned since Father has set us free to our own devices?"
- As Fenes would go on to say how Revan had developed more skills, he would find himself fighting back a the faintest blush, luckily his bandages would hide that detail from all.
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:32] "Please allow me to elaborate something. When I said dog, I was referring to you, mongrel."
- Valero's one good eye would shift away from the 'dog', and back over towards his brother, squinting at him, before shaking his head disapprovingly.
- "You find yourself in terrible company, brother."
- The only terrible company here, was him. Valero knew that, and odds are so did everyone else here. Then again, the Task quite frankly didn't care what others thought of him, and it showed.
- "What have I learned? Evidentially more than you. I know what it means to lose something important." A hand would move towards where his right eye once was, frowning slightly, before shaking his head. "I've learned what I want to fight for, and... Something else."
- There's a flicker of something around him. Foul flames black as night, that no sooner had they appeared, had they faded away.
- Though, this wouldn't be Revan's first time seeing them.
- "I doubt you'll find it as interesting as being able to treat wounds, or brew potions, but your opinions don't really matter to me."
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:36] Fenes only rolled her eyes when Valero treated her of dog and mongrel, taht wasn't exactly original anyway. There was no use trying to talk with this one it seemed, and he wasn't someone she wanted to talk to. The black, foul flames made her frown a bit. Not a sight she liked to see, if Valero was already like this, what would his mind be after learning that.. foul magic?
- (Fenes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:49] The grin on his bandaged mug would quickly diminish into a frown. The cyan aura that flared around him would dance more violently as the air would begin to steam. Between the two, Revan was definitely the one with the shortest fuse, though this had perhaps been one of the longest talks he had with his brother.
- He would watch as the shadowy aura whirled around him for the moment, the darkening of his energy that he had witnessed during the last of their many bouts. Revan could no longer stand where he was, and would walking directly up to his redheaded brother.
- You can only control how you react, how you view those around you.. I'm sorry Lilly.
- "Loss? What have you lost?" Raising his left eye to his brother's blind spot, he would try to jam his thumb into the eyepatch where the crystal eye sat behind.
- "This eye? An injury? That hardly qualifies with the scars you and Hades have given me. Do you dare mean our Sister Rinn? Our father has been grieving more than any of us, don't you dare try to claim that loss as solely your own."
- His tone was venomous, hissing through his teeth as he stood there before his brother. "I've learned what I wish to fight for too- and I will not stand for you insulting that." He would say, alluding to his Guildmates that had given him so much, taught him so many things.
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:57] This was to be expected.
- Valero had done nothing but spew Venomous words at his brother, and his friends since his arrival, and for what purpose? This wasn't anything truly new for the siblings, and yet Revan had finally decided enough was enough.
- That much was evident when his brother went to jam a finger into his missing eye. Instinctively his body would tense up, as he leapt back, attempting to avoid the strike.
- He stood in silence, as Revan bombarded him with words, each of them filled to the brim with venom. The Task could only stand there, staring at his brother with his one good eye.
- His expression entirely blank, until...
- It wasn't.
- In an instant that blank expression shifted, his entire face scrunched up, as his body erupted with a dense shroud of cyan mana erupted around him. Which would quickly find itself being tainted by the more foul mana at his disposal.
- "Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up."
- Oh dear, it seems like he's snapped.
- "You... You clearly don't recall what happened the last time you tried this, please allow me to... Remind you."
- A wide sadistic grin made itself known on his face, as he motioned for his older-younger brother to follow behind him towards the basement. It seems they wouldn't be fighting in this room.
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:00] Fingar quite puzzled by Valero's behavior would eye Revan with a worried look on his face.
- (Fingar)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:04] Fenes would step up as things seemed to grow for the worse, a hand would rest on the hilt of the blade at her side as she let out a sigh. Revan had snapped after so many words, somehow it was to be expected- Maybe She should have intervened before? No, no it was something between brothers, until now.
- Now, sadly, it was starting to become something fould, and dangerous for the both of them- although she didn't care about Valero, she only cared about Revan.
- "I'd suggest you don't start fighting each other, Valero, Revan.", she jade eyes wandered over towards Revan, her voice sounding sweet, yet still stern.
- "You are brothers, Valero seems to be detestable, but don't start spilling blood... Not .. again."
- Her hand still rested on the hilt of her sword, eyes wandering over towards Valero.
- "I'd suggest you don't hurt my guildmate here, either. I don't want things to get ugly. If you could learn to use your words in a more appropriate manner, maybe this wouldn't even happen."
- Whatever they would say or decide, she'd follow them to the basement, a hand still on her sword.
- She wasn't about to let Revan get hurt, even if it was his own brother.
- (Fenes)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:12] The bandaged brother couldn't even revel in the fact that for once he had gained the upper hand over his brother in this bout, watching him throw a tantrum like the child he was. However, he hadn't apologized yet, retracted the words towards Fenes.
- Dark energy would collide with the azure blue, a physical manifestation of the two brothers at odds with one another. Though as Fenes would try to intervene, she would feel the sharp glare of Revan's piercing gold hues.
- "Stay out of this. This is how we settle things, as Tasks."
- Survival of the fittest.
- It was always how they settled differences, the loser would be left in the wrong, even if they wouldn't admit it aloud. Returning his gaze to his brother, he would know exactly where to take this.
- "Follow me to the basement. I'll show you that was just luck on your part."
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:26] Quite honestly, whatever the other had said, had gone in one ear, and out the other. Once more, had Valero lost himself towards his own madness. Those sweet whispers of the occult urging him on to strike down his brother.
- Which after what he had said?
- Was exactly what Valero planned on doing.
- In a low gravely voice, or well, as low as he could get it while still being a fourteen year old, Valero would once more find himself repeating those familiar two words.
- "Shut. Up."
- This wasn't the first time he had ended up like this, nope, the other time was against Mihalis, where he had entirely lost himself to not only his emotions, but the maddening whispers of the occult. Did he mind?
- Not in the slightest.
- He was reveling in his actions, and that was proven, as mere moments into their arrival at the basement, had Valero lunged at Revan, blade in hand, and a bloodshot eye full of anger.
- How dare he strike at me.
- How dare he doubt me.
- The few trees that resided within the basement would find his mana creeping into them, sinking deep within their bark, and draining it of it's life, slowly, but surely in order to empower his mana further. The shroud of mana that surrounded him quite clearly suggest that, as the cyan was now more akin to a deep shade of blue, bordering on becoming purple.
- That purple mana would manifest into a sphere of energy within his palm, which after a swift boot to his brother gut, which caused him to stumble back, he'd prepare to fire.
- "Give up."
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:40] He was seething, Revan couldn't let that dictate his actions, cloud his judgement. Their Father had taught them they had to hone their mind and spirit just as much as their body, and that was a lesson that Valero had clearly slept through.
- Going into the basement, he knew he would have to be clever when fighting his brother. He had been tapping into darker, more powerful magics.. However, there was something he had been experimenting with, something he would unveil now.
- As the bout began, both brothers would disrupt each other's circuitry, causing both to move slower, but with how much they had pushed themselves, it would still take a diligent eye to follow everything that happened.
- As sword would slash, Revan would duck and deliver his own blow, backing out to stay out of reach. A hand reaching into a pouch on his pocket, he would grab a handful of seeds, imbuing each with his energy, he would begin launching them with a flick of his thumb.
- As they pelted his brother, roots would settle as they would begin to sap his mana. Leaves and petals growing on him, possibly distracting him and slowing him further, Revan would dash forward to capitalize on it.
- Though he underestimated the rage of an occultist, blade meeting flesh as knuckles dug into ribs. His brother had become a mindless beast, sucking in the life of the plants he put on him, as well as those around him. With a boot to his midsection, Revan would be sent stumbling.
- However, he would roll with the force, refacing his opponent as he saw him charging a blast. Putting his wrists together, those spectating would see his cyan aura shrink, forming a similar sphere in his hand- though he had less time to prepare- but if he didn't fire now, he would have to admit defeat.
- "Never! Not as long as I'm a Task!"
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:42] {Lost Dangerous RPB against Valero Task}
- [14:42] * You have been awarded 2 Roleplay Points! *
- [14:59] Like most bouts between the duo, this one was short, and to the point. No punches would be pulled. The two of them were fighting at their fullest capacity in order to prove which one of them was right. That's just the way Task's work.
- It's the way their father had raised each of them to be.
- "So be it, you dumb bitch."
- His brother had thrown away the one chance he had to give up, and flee. A shame about that, because any ounce of mercy that Valero might've had simply faded away.
- Those maddening whisper's grasp over his sanity seemed to tighten, as they continued to synchronize with his own magic, pushing it further beyond what is should be capable of. His brother giving him life forms to drain the life from seemed to only add to this.
- Sure, they caused a fair amount of pain towards him, but he was an energy magic. Pain pushed his magic far past their limits, combine that with the mana he was draining away from Revan's plants?
- His mana was something else entirely right now.
- The orb of mana within his palms expanded even further, and without much in the way of ceremony the tainted mana would be sent spiraling out from his hand, tearing through the ground, as it made his way towards his brother, and what he assumed to be a beam of his own.
- Which well, they would inevitably crash with each other.
- The two forms of energy would bash into each other, pushing one another back, and forth. Not a single one of them gaining much ground to begin with, until...
- Well, Valero would let loose a bloodcurdling screech, as his mana began to syphon away at everything around him, including his brother's own mana, causing his own to soar higher, and higher. Until it pushed Revan's back, further, and further unimpeded by his brother's own energy, until it reached him.
- What happened after that? Well, Valero wasn't quite sure, but... While he had sent with his full force. Something within him, perhaps a small portion of himself that clung to his sanity had held back. The beam wouldn't truly leave any lasting damages.
- Perhaps a few small burns, but that's all.
- "I can never be all that you want from me, brother." Valero said as he took a few steps closer towards where his brother should be. "And I am broken. I will fail you constantly."
- With those words, he'd begin to depart, unless halted by someone else.
- (Valero Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:06] Caleb Arborea says, "Well, they definitely do not dissapoint."
- [15:26] He would ask if he wished to give up, it might as well been rhetorical, because he should've known his brother's pride would not let him stand down. Valero had thought so highly of himself since beating him in their last grudge match, the elder brother had to reassert his dominance.
- The redhead had the edge in this bout, he had more time to channel his mana, to steal from all of those around him. Revan would spy the flora he had planted on him begin to wither and die, as the shadows drained the life from them.
- Firing preemptively, to blast his brother awhile while charging, though his brother's bream would fire out much more furiously than his own. Pushed back to the center of them, the bandaged teen would grit his teeth as he felts his heels digging in to the cobblestone.
- Gradually the aura around the pugilist would dim as he poured more into his energy into his own cyan beam. He felt his reserves diminishing much faster than he felt he was using it- Damn Valero- you always had to take my things to find contentment. No, he was quickly aware fighting him head on was not the way to win this.
- Reserving the mana that he could, he would let his brother's blast envelope his own, slowly encroaching towards him. The purple energy would reach his hands, and bandaged fingers that glowed with mana would dig into the beam.
- He needed to turn this around, to give his brother a taste of his own medicine. The dark magic would travel up his own arms, beginning to envelope him. He felt the surge of power going through him, the dark whispers reaching him. Is this what he has to deal with?
- He wanted to throw the beam back at him, but the shadows would begin eating at him, the whispers breaking his focus as he felt pity for the price his brother had paid.
- Valero's beam would break through his guard, boring straight into Revan's gut and propelling him into the wall, leaving a crater that would embed him. Coughing up blood, his head would simply hang there limply.
- Hearing his brothers assumed parting words he would struggle to lift a hand to try and pull himself from the wall, only falling onto his chest as he tried to crawl to him.
- ".. You're wrong.." He would cough more blood, "You're a Task.. You can do anything.." He was only hard on his brother because he didn't take anything seriously, but there was so much potential there, and it pissed Revan off he didn't see it. "Just because you're broken.. Doesn't mean.. You can't be fixed." It was something his guild mates were showing him, but it would take the last of his energy to deliver his message, falling unconscious on the floor.
- (Revan Task)
