OMG, so sorry about no letter last week. I let myself down with procrastinating packing for a big trip (yet again). While travelling, always too sleepy/tired to write anything good, so end up not doing anything other than binging movies and stuff in idle.

Releasing this one as public due to so much info & missing last week's letter. ;;

▤▤▤ New Yoshi PB! 2:35:12
Wednesday night, to my surprise, I got a new PB of 2:35:12 -- https://twitter.com/trihexx/status/601247872076488704 -- I, for the first time since 2012, was actually on WR-pace during a run. Even way back then, it didn't mean much since Bonus Skips were -just- discovered!

I'll be reviewing the run today, analyzing where I made mistakes. I did many due to composure and never played so well during a run before, understandably. Can't prepare for that until you experience being WR-pace more often and being familiar with it. But I made some bone-headed moves even considering that context!

▤▤▤ Countdown to SGDQ!
To my surprise, I'm the SGDQ opening speedrun -- https://twitter.com/trihexx/status/600395268719149056 -- however, I was worried if controller cam wouldn't be allowed if I had this slot. Thankfully, RomScout agreed to allow an incentive to be active 1hr before SGDQ starts, so we're good!

The game-plan is to continue grinding for PB's and hopefully WR throughout May/June. Come July, I'll start practicing for Marathon Run spec. Focusing on commentary and nailing the mass-audience-impressing stuff like "full 5-4 skip". (I'll detail this stuff in June's newsletters)

Monday night, improved my mounting for CrotchCam -- https://twitter.com/trihexx/status/600863597447675904 -- it allows me to show more of my wrists to help get an even better idea of what I'm pressing when playing!

Next week I'm gonna do a DDR session to test out a new camera idea. The current set-up is ... okay (front-view of player), but I think side-view 3/4th angle is gonna help give the most context to help those less-fluent in DDR see how I'm doing it.

May have noticed there's a new bot dedicated to tracking waifus, Lv100Weeabo -- https://twitter.com/trihexx/status/598614543942582272 -- Still in Beta, as there are many things needing changes and improvements, but feel free to type "!help" to summon it and see who everyone's waifu is.

Once out of Beta, it should be complimenting chat experience and help lurkers feel more welcome and less inclined to lurk, rather than have a spam-fest as might be the case for the moment (if they desire, more about breaking shyness then demonizing lurking #RespectTheLurk).

Expect a delicious episode of pre-season 8 Simpsons, a fun poll over which random episode of an animated series during preshow,  the full alternate opening to Incredibles you've never seen, and a fantastic post-credits rant from me about why Incredibles is -such- a triumph!
