- == Aetherial Soul Crafting ==
- A unique form of crafting process for Final Fantasy XIV that allows players to utilize a new currency called "Soul Chips," gotten through special content and daily achievement or challenge rewards. Soul Chips are ground down into a crafting material via a special device in Mor Dhona and Idyllshire. This crafting material is then used for special "Relic" (Purple) crafting recipes unlocked via recipe books. The recipe books are also obtained through soul chips as a currency.

- Ambience being a special statistic used to add a new type of "Item Level" to the game, rather than relying on the current item level system. This item level system is only used in special instances and Scaled Instance Difficulties. (Similar to the Agony system in Guild Wars 2.)
