Peonies and lilies and daisies

Alexithymiaa: -Steph had been busy putting together an organized book of wedding planning things because now that she was feeling a bit more like herself, she was in super planning mode. Picking up the thick binder, she walked out of the office and into the living room, dropping down onto the couch with it and just sort of talking without making sure she was being heard. "Okay so I got in touch with that guy who owns the barn on the coast that we liked? And he said people don't usually ask to rent from him, but he'd be willing to rent it to us for a hundred dollars per hour."-
Covet: Felix was in the freezer gettin ghte moldable gel pack he'd gotten from the PT. He'd been overdoing it again on the basketball and still wasn't wearing the sling. But he'd been distracted covering his ass in regards to his smoking again. He looked over at her and nodded, "Wow, it's a barn... That's fairly cheap, but at the same time... It's not like it's brand new." He said placing the chell pack on his shoulder.
Alexithymiaa: "I know, but I wasn't about to start questioning him. We do need to be responsible for all of our own cleaning and set up, but I'd prefer that anyway so we have it exactly the way we want it. We just need to set a date and we can reserve it with him." She said, glancing up from her binder to look at him. "How does it feel?"-
Covet: "It's fine. Just keeping it from getting tense." He said with a shrug, and winced. "That doesn't seem too bad if we don't have a lot of people. And if we're doing it there, we should do it before the end of the summer." He said to her walking over to the couch, sitting down next to her.
Alexithymiaa: -She reached out to put her hand on his shoulder, chewing on her cheek. "I saw that. Please be careful..." She spoke with a frown before looking back down into her book. "Well yeah before the end of the Summer. I don't want to be cold at our wedding. What about like... June? That way it's not too hot yet, but it's still comfortable."-
Covet: "Yeah, I'm worried about the rain in June. But I was thinking then or in September." He said, then looked at her, You saw what?" He asked, playing it off, "It was nothing."
Alexithymiaa: "But it starts to get chilly at night in September..." She whined, so against the idea of having to put on a jacket and ruin her dress. "I thhink the rain should be okay by June." She paused, thinking about it more and then looking at him. "You're not as sly as you think you are. I saw your wince. Have you been following all of the physical therapists instructions?"-
Covet: "Ah true." Felix said as he chuckled at her whine. Then gave a shrug, "More or less, yeah, I think I slept on it wrong this weekend too, so that's probably not helping."
Alexithymiaa: "More or less is not a yes, Arizona. This is important." She scolded a bit, moving her hands to take the ice pack from him, pressing it against his shoulder more firmly. "We can always get some extra pillows to prop around you to make you more comfortable when you sleep."-
Covet: "It's fine. And I know it's important." He told her. "Why do you think I'm staying dedicated to how it's being done." Felix sighed, "Okay maybe the extra pillows could be nice."
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know how dedicated you're staying because I have know idea what's going on at PT." She said, keeping the ice pack against his shoulder. "I can stop tomorrow on my way back from rehearsal and get some more pillows for you."-
Covet: "Okay cool. I appreciate it." He said glossing over her comment. "Okay so Do we want early or late June?" He asked her trying to distract her with wedding plans.
Alexithymiaa: -She was successfully distracted from his shoulder for the time being, handing him the ice pack and then flipping through her binder for a calendar. "Well what about like mid-June? That way it gets just a bit warmer, but it's not too close to July?"-
Covet: "Sounds great to me. I'm hoping for a lot of sun, That barn looks perfect when the Sun is shining through it." Felix told her.
Alexithymiaa: "I agree. It's going to be perfect." She leaned over, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll call him tomorrow with a few dates and see what he says works with his schedule. I already talked to Dean and he's going to fly in to be our photographer. We still need a menu, a DJ, a cake, flowers.... we need to go ring shopping..." She took a deep breath, brushing her bangs out of her eyes. "There's a lot to do."-
Covet: "Okay that works for me." He said leaning his head over into her kiss. " Okay so for food. We need to figure out how many people are going to be there. What about invitations?" He asked her.
Alexithymiaa: "Right, well there's a cute stationary store in town that does custom invitations we can investigate. I'd definitely like to try to keep them on theme with our little vintage thing going on, sort of classic." She said with a nod, flipping a few pages to her concepts. Covet: Oh, I like those a lot. Those are cute." He said looking at them. "I like the idea of them being made on hand made paper, like how books used to be made."
Alexithymiaa: "Oh I love that. It's very us." She said with a smile, leaning into him a bit. "So once we set a date with the barn guy, we can go and pick out specifically what we want with the invitations. We talked about the menu and I know a few great catering places that have done events for the sorority that we can schedule tastings with. You need to pick out a cake though."-
Covet: "Don't worry I've been narrowing down my options." Felix said. "I'll have an answer for you soon." He said sounding like he'd put more work into that than anything else.
Alexithymiaa: "Okay..." She said as she ran down her checklist. "Do you feel any sort of way about flowers? I've always thought that more flowers at a wedding is prettier, but definitely not roses. There will not be a single rose at our wedding."-
Covet: "I like the idea of Lillies and daisies." Felix said. "They're classy without being over the top. I know there are some other's that I like too, that are still fancy but not roses."
Alexithymiaa: "Lillies have always been my favorite, but I've been doing a little research and I really like the idea of peonies with a vintage theme too. So maybe some sort of combination of the three? I think a florist can easily handle that."-
Covet: "I like that, it seems simple to keep it with three flowers. We can just have lots of those flowers. and it should look amazing." Felix told her.
Alexithymiaa: "Perfect. I'm really happy with our plans so far and how much we seem to want all the same things. It's making this a very stress free process. At least so far. We haven't actually had to deal with any vendors yet."-
Covet: "Yeah, that will be the part that gives us grief. Have you thought anymore about your dress or the rest of your bridal party?" He asked her.
Alexithymiaa: "Well I considered asking CJ... but I also kind of just like keeping it really small so I might just stay with Cadence and Kelsey. I've definitely thought more about my dress though. I have a feeling I'm going to pick something and then make modifications to it to make it more custom to what I want. It had to be perfect." She spoke with a nod, pausing to look at him. "What about your bridal party?"-
Covet: "I like the idea of you making it more unique to yourself. I want it to be something that is really you." He told her then tilted his head to the side. "Seb for sure. I was thinking maybe your brother to fill out they other position. When's Cadence due for this baby?"
Alexithymiaa: "That's what I was thinking about. I just don't want to go too crazy because I refuse to spend the kind of money on a dress that they'll charge for a totally custom design." She sighed, only a little disappointed with her lack of finances to have exactly what she wanted. "You're going to ask Bryan?" She asked with a raise of her brows, surprised. "I don't remember when she's due. I have to ask her."-
Covet: "Well, My other option kind of bitched out, so I've got a spot to fill. And he did ask me to be one of his, so it's only kind of fair I guess." Felix said getting up so he could put the ice pack back in the freezer.
Alexithymiaa: "I guess if that's what you want to do, but be prepared to need to wrangle him in when it comes time for literally any bridal party activities. He's not as bad as he used to be, but he's definitely not good." She pushed up to her feet, closing the binder and setting it on the coffee table. "I'll come by the library tomorrow after I talk to the barn guy and let you know what he said."-
Covet: "Okay sounds good, Red. Now I need that sweet ass of yours in bed with me." He said pointing to the bedroom.
Alexithymiaa: "But I still need to research florists..." She trailed off, giving him a pout before slinking off toward the bedroom because why bother arguing.-
