He grew up with his parents and older sister in Daejeon South Korea. He liked the idea of singing at a young age. His sister helped him practice even with her busy schedules. He would sing along to any song he heard hoping it would help him grow. As they got older his sister started auditioning to companies to showcase her dancing skills. He decided that he too should try out as well to showcase his talents.
