"How you feelin', Lucian?  The doctors said nothing's broken, and the worst of it will just be cuts, scabs and scars from whatever they tarred ya with."  When you look confused, he explains you were knocked out, tarred and feathered.  "I'll be callin' the others in here soon, we're gonna have a little pow wow, but before I do I wanted to speak with ya.

"I got a good idea how you're feelin' right now - sucks don't it?  One second you're at the top of your game, and the next you're kissin' concrete and outnumbered.  Same thing happened to me way back when, wasn't much older than you were.  Here I was, some twiggy college freshmen studying Poke'Psychology, thinkin' I was big shit.  I pissed off some people I shoulda known better to mess with, and next thing I knew I was wakin' up in a hospital bed with twenty stitches."

"That encounter did a lot to shape the man I became.  It was humiliating, terrifying, made me feel absolutely powerless...but it also did a lot to humble me, and made me realize I wasn't as big, tough or smart as I thought I was.  I swore to myself that the next time I ran into those thugs, they wouldn't get the best of me.  My personal solution to it was to, well, beef up physically.  But the important part is I didn't let the experience cripple or shackle me, and I didn't let those goons intimidate me.

"The thugs that got ahold of you were no different.  They were just lookin' to scare you, the others, and by proxy, me.  Don't let these goofs fool ya.  They are scared shitless of who you are, and what you'll become if left alone.  So don't beat yourself up over this, let the experience motivate ya and culture ya, so that next time you cross paths with them, it'll be them wakin' up in a hospital bed.
