⊱ background; shim moonkyung was born on a hot summer day in pohang, south korea on august 19th, 1996. she grew up with a mom & twin brother. her father left her when she was only a couple months old. after her father left, her mother decided to moved the family to daegu, south korea. her & her brother have depended on each other their whole lives. they’ve helped each other & basically raised themselves due to their mother’s busy job. they don’t blame their mom for not being there, they understood she was trying to make the best for them. when moonkyung was 6 years old she began acting. her mother thought it would be a good opportunity for her. she ultimately quit at the age of 10 to focus on school. moonkyung did average in school but she always worked her hardest so she make her mother proud. growing up, she always did the best in writing & dreamed of becoming a author. after she graduated she planned to go to college & start as a author but things didn’t go that way. when she started high school, she loved singing. so she thought of becoming a idol. she finally decided in her final year of high school to audition to become a idol. she asked her mother & her mother agreed. so she auditioned for a smaller company which was rbw, she was accepted then.

» loud - this is one of the best ways to describe moonkyung. people describe her as the loud hype one. some people can get annoyed by her loudness. she doesn’t want to annoy people with her loudness but she can do that & if people ask her to tone it down then she will instantly. she likes to be respectful to people. she is one of the loudest in the group.
» energetic - she’s energetic at any time really, even in the mornings. she is always looking forward to something so she is really hype about it. she is the one to make someone cheer up.
» emotional - she doesn’t tend to show her emotional side but she is pretty emotional & sensitive. she only gets emotional in front of her loved ones also if felicity won a award. she doesn’t like to cry in front of a large crowd but if it happens it happens.
» funny - she can cheer people up & that’s her special ability. sometimes she makes the situation worse with her humor but that’s not her goal, she just wants the person  to feel better about the situation but she normally knows when not to have a joke about a certain situation like if it’s too serious then she won’t make a joke & she’ll just try to make that person feel better.
