  7. Standard Size 2 [Pewter/Iron] Cauldron
  8. 500mL Water
  9. Ladel

  22. -Prepare 500mL in cauldron

  25. [1] Grind six fairy wings in your mortar.
  26. [2] Add ground fairy wings to your cauldron.
  27. [3] Slowly stir thrice clockwise, then thrice counter-clockwise.
  28. [4] Add six drops of morning dew.

Suffice it to say that even hermits suffer from household pests. Hence I created this, a full-bodied venomous mixture, yet well-rounded. -Z.B.

  138. Mine own invention, my masterpiece; the crowning achievement of my career. Bottled good fortune. Brewed correctly the drinker of this potion will be lucky in all their endeavours, but be warned … excessive consumption is highly toxic and can cause extreme recklessness. Fans of Quidditch were quick to protest that a potion which gives the drinker good luck was hardly fair and use of my potion was banned, quite rightly, from all competitive events … except potion-making tournaments. -Z.B.

  160. -Prepare 500mL of water in cauldron.

  163. [1] Add the yolk of one ashwinder egg to the cauldron.
  164. [-] At this point, if you wish, you can add a dash of horseradish. It is traditional in brewing but has not been proven to make the potion any more potent.
  165. [2] Raise heat below the cauldron to medium exposure.
  166. [3] Juice or pulverize one squill bulb, add contents to cauldron.
  167. [4] Vigorously stir twice clockwise.
  168. [5] Separate anemone-like tentacles from the back of a murtlap, and chop them up. Measure out three grams of the chopped tentacles and add to the cauldron.
  169. [6] Raise heat to high exposure, allow potion to simmer.
  170. [7] Add a dash (three drops) of tincture of thyme.
  171. [8] Slowly stir thrice clockwise, then thrice counter-clockwise.
  172. [9] Grind one occamy eggshell into powder, then add to cauldron.
  173. [10] Slowly stir the mixture once clockwise, then once counter clock-wise.
  174. [11] Raise heat to higher exposure, allow potion to come to a steady boil.
  175. [12] Sprinkle 1/2 gram of powdered common rue over the potion.
  176. [13] Vigorously stir clockwise for 10 rotations.
  177. [14] Raise heat to higher exposure, bring potion to a roaring boil.
  178. [15] Check the time, and then stir the potion clockwise in the manner of what time it is, stirring a full rotation for each hour and a partial rotation for the location of the minute hand.
  179. [16] Cover the potion with a pewter cap and allow it to stew on low heat for six months (two OOC weeks).
  180. [17] After six months, uncover the potion. Aim your wand directly at the fire beneath the cauldron, and waving the wand in a figure-eight motion, firmly say "Felixempra".
  181. [18] After you've charmed the fire, the flames should quickly scale the sides of the cauldron and plunge into the potion. The fire beneath the cauldron will extinguish as these flames leave the firepit. The potion will quickly calm from it's boiling state once these enchanted flames enter the mixture.

  190. A potion to induce uncontrollable merriment. A finely-balanced potion requiring delicacy of touch. If made incorrectly, the results can vary from hysterical mania to deep and inconsolable melancholy. -Z.B.
