What is backseating?

IF YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER, saying anything that will attempt to guide me toward a right answer or away from a wrong answer is backseating. Imagine whether your words will influence my choices. If so, please try to keep them to yourself.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER, wild speculation is still backseating, and I (and my mods) will have to assume that it is a spoiler. This might be by no fault of your own, but this playthrough is not by-committee, and I'd prefer to make all of my own choices, however terrible those choices may be.

Sometimes I will ask for help. If I explicitly ask chat for help, or invite suggestions, that is the only exception to these rules, but this typically only happens when I'm too frustrated to figure something out on my own and I think that it is affecting the quality of the stream. Unless I EXPLICITLY ask for your help, consider such help to be unwelcome and antagonistic.

If you still want to talk about things that you might consider to be spoilers, my discord server has a spoiler chat that I do not read (ever) and you are welcome to post in. Feel free to say in the chat that you are moving discussion there if you want to get people's attention to have a discussion.
