In times of yore the Planet was a respected entity. But the Planet knew of the power of the humans. It knew that they could turn on the Planet. So it created a fail-safe if the humans alive on the surface of the Planet turned against it.
Its disciples, the Children, always knew of the lore of ‘the Chosen’. One from each element would be chosen to assess the Planet and do their best to save it, when the Planet was in times of threat or peril. However, if the Planet saw through the Chosen’s eyes that the humans were not worth saving, the second stage of the Planet’s failsafe would commence.
Within two Chosen would rest the Destroyers, entities that would only be summoned if the Planet deemed the humans destructive to itself. Fenrir and Griever, the wolf and the lion, would consume all creatures, and then raze the planet of all human civilization.
The Planet would then be destroyed, leaving the Planet’s soul in place.
When done, Chaos and Order, two entities that rest within the Planet’s soul, would rebuild the Planet and create a new order of existence.
