  1. F-Zero GX - F-Zero Central Beginner/Intermediate Staff Ghost Project
  2.
  3. What is the purpose of the project?
  4. To provide videos of live runs demonstrating beginner to intermediate level starts for new players wanting to play the game at a high level to learn from and to strive to beat.
  5.
  6. Process
  7. 1) Gather players to record the runs
  8. 2) Determine appropriate machines, which starts, and techs to use and not use. Has to be appropriate for newer players to learn from and to eventually beat after sufficient practice.
  9. 3) Create informative YouTube descriptions, explaining the machine choice, explaining key portions of the start, and mentioning alternative machines and starts that can be used, perhaps ones that are slightly more advanced. Also link to other runs done for this project
  10. 4) Put all videos in a single playlist, share them.
  11. 5?) Create a FZC Staff Ghost player in the max speed ladder
  12. 6?) Have the ghost data for each run be available
  13.
  14. Guideline for machine selection
  15. Generally the "top tier machines" (Quick, Gallant, Black Bull, Fat Shark) shouldn't be used for the beginner staff ghosts as they're all difficult to learn to utilize well. There may be some exceptions on courses where Fat Shark is the clear number 1 choice even for newer players. Machines used otherwise should be manageable to handle yet be a viable choice for the course (basically the next best alternative machine for the course other than the top tier machines). It's advisable to try to show off as many different machines under these guidelines
  16.
  17. Guideline for using techniques and driving
  18. -MTS use should be limited to turns where it's easy to perform.
  19. -No MTS chaining.
  20. -Limit side attack usage in general to the point it is not too difficult to replicate
  21. -On shift boost heavy courses, only perform easy to execute shift boosts. The start overall has to not be too difficult
  22. -MT should be utilized at a fairly high level.
  23. -Suicides should be avoided unless it's a simple MTS right before the line.
  24. -MTRS should be used.
  25. -Quick turning should be used on sharp turns. Using several consecutive short quick turns should be avoided.
  26. -Boosting strategies should avoid having no energy in sections with high risk of crashing. Otherwise make them as optimal as possible (generally has to be well planned and executed well) and execute them well (that can be done with only a few attempts to do a run), and make sure it isn't too difficult of a start.
