Children

There are few things as absurd as the notion that children are pure and innocent. All morality is a consequence of socialization, and this is especially apparent in children, who aren't yet intelligent enough to internalize values or at least try to rationalize their behavior. Without adult supervision, children would literally be killing each other left and right, torturing animals, and commiting arson.
