  1. Mandy is an unpopular student at school. She spends her free time writing fanfiction about the Five Nights at Freddy's games series, as well as participating in the FNAF community on online forums. She downloads FNAF3 on her phone and decompiles it, copying how other theorists in the community would find clues in the games. She finds an image file called lookshauntednow.jpg, a colorless photo of an old metal building with a street name attached to it. When she posts the image on her blog, M&M Scoop, no one else can find the image file in the game. She plans to find the actual location in the image.
  2.
  3. She begins seeing quick flashes of things around her — something red, a blue shoe, a ghostly boy with brown hair — but they all disappear as soon as she blinks. She has dreams of the ghost boy in different locations she recognizes from the FNAF games, looking progressively paler each time.
  4.
  5. Mandy travels to Peace Valley, Utah to find the location of the building in the image file. Talking to locals in the area, she learns that the location was an old diner that closed about twenty years ago after a child, Stevie Robins, disappeared there and was assumed to be kidnapped. Mandy connects that to the events in FNAF3, and believes the game creator included the image in the game to send her there and solve the mystery.
  6.
  7. She enters deeper into the building and finds signs advertising the diner with a bear character called Sideshow. The ghost reappears again and drops a newspaper about Stevie Robins. Mandy realizes that the ghost was Stevie, and that her dreams of him in different locations was a clue to where he was hiding. She finds an old animatronic of the bear and opens it, finding a corpse with brown hair and a red shirt — Stevie.
  8.
  9. Investigators arrive at the scene and thank Mandy for solving the long unsolved case of Stevie Robins. They determine that Stevie tried to hide inside the suit but accidentally snapped his neck inside. Stevie's mother personally thanks Mandy for finally bringing closure to her.
  10.
  11. Mandy returns home with newfound popularity after the news of her solving the case spreads. She confronts her bullies at school and many students applaud her for that. She finally opens up to her parents about how the death of her little brother Bobby affected her, and they agree to spend more time together as a family.
  12.
  13. On her blog, she writes that while she may never understand the full mystery of the building and its connection to FNAF, she is okay with that. She ends the post by writing, "The only thing I am certain of is, if the creator wanted us to know, I think he would tell us."
  14.
  15. One night, a happy Stevie appears in Mandy's room and thanks her. He tells Mandy "Bobby says hello." and she smiles, watching him disappear.
