- >On a quiet Sunday morning, the Loud residence was far less loud than was usual.
- >It was on that day that Lynn Sr. had found himself able to sleep in for the first time in a month.
- >The restaurant had been busy, and he'd finally gotten a day to himself after Lisa offerred to manage the place for the day while Lincoln made sure she didn't destroy it.
- >He slept peacefully, unaware of the presence in his room.
- >A presence that slowly crept towards him, taking every caution to not make a sound.
- >Yet it all came to a halt when light filled the room and Lynn began to stir.
- >He sat up and rubbed his eyes before stretching out the stiffness from his extended slumber.
- >As he did, he could see a very familiar face in front of his bed.
- >"Good morning, daddy! I have a surprise for you~"
- >He'd know that voice anywhere.
- >It was his 12th child, Rinn.
- >As his vision returned and adjusted to the light, he saw her holding a tray of assorted breakfast items.
- >However, what she had was less concerning than what she didn't have.
- >Namely clothing.
- >Her young body had only an apron for covering.
- >And even that didn't leave much to the imagination.
- >Before Lynn could say a word, she was upon him.
- >"I know you wanted to relax today, so I decided the best way to help was to make you breakfast in bed. I know how much you like my waffles."
- >The statement would have been more heartwarming had she not been looking at him the way she was.
- >Like a wolf eyeing a lamb.
- "Sweetie, not that I don't appreciate the gesture, but I'm a little concerned about why you're...not wearing anything but an apron right now."
- >"Silly daddy, I took them off because I didn't want them to get dirty. And I put on the apron so that I wouldn't get dirty~"
- >How she lingered on that last word filled Lynn with dread.
- >Rinn had always been a little bit too close.
- >Rita said it was just his imagination, but with this in front of him, he wasn't so sure on if that was the case.
- "Well, maybe you could leave the food here and go get dressed and we can watch some television together in a bit?"
- >"Oh there's no need to do that, everyone else is gone right now."
- >A knot formed in Lynn's stomach after hearing that.
- "W-what?"
- >"Leni and Lori got in some trouble at her job and they needed a few hands to take care of it. Something about a crazy man hiding in the building and not being able to find him. So it's just you and me here."
- >Rinn got closer to Lynn as she talked, setting down the heavy breakfast in his lap.
- >"And I don't think they'll be back for a while. That gives us plenty of time to spend together."
- >Lynn opened his mouth to voice his concerns and make an excuse to leave, but Rinn quickly silenced him with a bite of waffle as she climbed into his bed and on his legs.
- >"I just know we're going to have a fun day today."
- >Lynn swallowed the food, his body trembling as Rinn drew near his face.
- >"Just you and me."
