- How to pass the Texas State Car Inspection with illegal window tint: Having had 2% tint on my car windows for 4+ years, I've gone through several state inspections, but how did I pass? A little legal loophole of sorts (I figured this out after failing two inspections back to back).
- Although it is illegal to have any tint darker than 20% on your front windows, it is not illegal not to have front windows at all. Right before I pull up for my inspection, I roll my front two windows all the way down and then remove the fuse for PWR Windows (took me less than 30 secs). Without that fuse plugged in, no windows will roll up or down, safely concealing your less than legal tint. If the inspector asks, just tell him that you don't have front windows; they cannot fail you for this. After you pass your inspection, just pop the fuse back in, roll your windows up and that's it. That's how I stick it to the man.
