  15. A/N I love Portal, and I love Futurama. I thought it would be interesting to ship Bender and GLaDOS. The first chapter isn't that good because Futurama is one of those shows that can't really be text based. The first chapter is necessary though, to understand the rest of the story. The story is rated M for smut. Of course, you can always skip over the smut. But I mean, then that kind of defeats the purpose of me writing this story. I didn't want it to be a one-shot, because I felt as if Futurama would be a perfect crossover for Portal, and that I'm surprised they haven't parodied it yet.

  22. "GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!" came the voice of Farnsworth, as he sat down at the table. Bender followed him in, carrying an odd box. "What's in the box, Professor Farnsworth?" asked Leela. "It's our next delivery." he said. "We were ordered by an applied science company at an Earth in another dimension to bring them one hundred miniature black holes." Everyone gasped. "Another dimension?" exclaimed Leela. "How are we going to do that?" Farnsworth dropped another package on the table. "This is a Macroscopic Multiverse Wormhole Quantum Tunneling Device." he said. "Catchy name. How does it work?" asked Fry. Farnsworth smiled and put his hands together. "I have no idea. I got it off of eBay for thirty bucks from some sketchy dealer. All I know is that, ironically, it uses a miniature black hole to work. Leela will just need to plug it into the Planet Express Ship via this USB cable."
  23.
  24. As Bender loaded the ship with the miniaturized black holes, Leela set up the wormhole generator. Bender dropped the package quite recklessly in the ship. "Careful, Bender!" yelled Farnsworth. "Those black holes are very carefully stabilized so that they won't swallow up everything in their path. Don't bump them around too much!" Bender put the package in his chest compartment and then went to sit down. Once Leela finalized the coordinates and tuned the wormhole generator, she started the engine and navigated the ship off the planet.
  25.
  26. Once they passed the Moon, Leela activated the wormhole generator. A giant, purple and pink vortex appeared. It was somewhat conical in shape, tapering off into a point after about ten meters. She navigated the ship into the wormhole. "Ooh, pretty lights!" said Fry. "It's very trippy." Bender grabbed a beer, and took a long swig of it. Colors swirled around the ship, and fractal-like images appeared to float around like amoeba infintely far away in the distance.
  27.
  28. Suddenly, there was a bright white flash. Everyone screamed as the Planet Express ship tumbled into space. The light dissipated, and everyone looked out the window. "Aww, it didn't work." said Fry. "No!" said Leela. "Look at the Earth! Parts of it are totally barren!" Indeed, vast portions of the North American continent appeared to be totally scorched. They had made it to another dimension. "Alright, where is this applied science company?" said Bender. He opened his compartment and took out the package. "Caution: Contains One Hundred Miniature Black Holes. Handle with care." he read off of the tag. "Aperture Science Laboratories." Bender examined the tag more closely. The address appeared to be scratched out. "I can't make out the address number, but it does say that it's at some sort of old salt mine in upper Michigan.
  29.
  30. "That's ok, Bender. I have the address right here." she said, holding up a tablet. She entered the address into the Planet Express's GPS. The Earth, after all, still appeared to have satellites. She navigated the ship down to the location, at a large building. Across the top of the building had an seven-segment logo that looked like the segments of a camera diapraghm, the eighth segment being part of an A in "Aperture", the words "Laboratories" under it. There was an enormous panel of glass that saw into the lobby of the building.
  31.
  32. "Absolutely no one is in it!" exclaimed Leela. She knocked on the door. "Hello? I've got a package for you guys." she said. She knocked again. "Hello? Is anyone in there?" Leela shrugged. "Should we just leave it at the front?" said Fry. Leela shook her head. "No, remember what the Professor said? These things need to be handled with great care. It can't be left out here in the elements. We'll just go back.
  33.
  34. Bender, Fry, and Leela re-boarded the ship. "Hey, what's that beeping sound?" asked Fry. Leela shrugged. Everyone looked around the Planet Express ship in search of the mysterious beeping noise. Bender gasped and pointed. "What is it Bender?" said Leela. She looked at what he was pointing at. The wormhole generator had an error on its display. "Fatal Error 421: Faulty Device, Cannot Generate Wormhole. Use manual for further instructions. Do not disconnect from system." Leela's eye opened wide. "Oh no! We don't even have a manual! We can't go back! What are we going to do?" she said. Fry examined the device. On the side was a strange logo. It appeared to be an eight-segment camera diaphraghm opened wide. "Hey, Leela! Look at this! The logo is exactly the same as the company we're trying to deliver it to! Maybe if we find someone inside, they can get us a manual to fix it!" he said. "We can't take the wormhole generator with us. It tells us not to disconnect it from the ship." "That's OK, said Leela. I think if we just ask them about the generator, they'll know what we are talking about."

  40. A/N The smut will come. Patience. It's not a one-shot. I might even include some Fry/Leela, but I'm not that good (and don't like) human!human much. Besides, I'm into Porntal, not into whatever they call it for Futurama. If I do it, they're gonna be "thinking with portals."

  53. A/N The plot starts around halfway in this chapter. The next chapter is where the elements of Portal really come in, but these are the events leading up to the events. Not sure how long I'm going to make this. I doubt that many people will actually read this. I do know that there is at least one person I know of that likes Futurama/Portal crossovers, so, uh, yeah. I wasn't sure how to get the events that lead up to the rising action, but please bear with me. The chapters after this one should be decent.

  62. Bender broke the lock, and they all walked into the building. The air smelled musty and stale--almost sour, as if no air had circulated in there for years. "Hello?" yelled Leela. Her voice echoed off of the walls of the building. The lobby was minimalist, having a primarily blue, orange, and silver color scheme. There was absolute silence. "Did we come to the right universe?" asked Fry. "I'm sure of it. Besides, even if we didn't, we'd have no way of getting back.
  63.
  64. A golden light was cast over everything. The sun was setting, highlighting the waves of grain. "It's going to get pretty dark. There's a few vending machines here. We better spend the night. It doesn't seem that there's anyone to push us out anyways." said Leela. Bender and Fry agreed. Bender broke the vending machine open and grabbed a few snacks, and dumped them in front of Leela.
  65.
  66. Fry grabbed a bag of Doritos, opened it, and took a bite. "Ew, they're all stale. Didn't they have any Twinkies? They last forever." he said. "This isn't good. We need to find food, and you guys ate all of our emergency supply last week because you couldn't wait five minutes for me to repair the ship." said Leela. Fry looked around at the enormous lobby. "Hey, since we're going to be stuck here for the entire night, we might as well explore the place." said Fry. Bender agreed. Leela shook her head. "No, Fry! We don't know how big this place is, and how to get around it!" said Leela.
  67.
  68. "Well, I'm bored, and I need something to do." Fry got up and started walking towards a corridor, with Bender beside him. Leela reluctantly followed them. They walked for a very long time, looking inside the dimly-lit office rooms. Most of them had similar power-points, playing on their own, displayed on a screen. Almost all of the power-points mentioned about a "Black Mesa" and a "Generic Lifeform and Disk Operating System." Some rooms had chairs lying on their side, paper littering the floor, as if the people that were inside there were trying to leave in a hurry.
  69.
  70. "This place is spooky." said Fry. "Let's go back." He turned his head around, only to find that, in fact, he had come from a split pathway. There were two dimly lit pathways that looked identical behind him. "Which way do we go?" said Bender. "I don't know." said Fry. "Maybe we should split up." Leela grabbed Fry's hand. "No! That will only make one party lost!" she said. "Besides! How would we know if the paths won't diverge again?"
  71.
  72. Fry shrugged. "I'm ready to take the risk. Then at least one person will be safe. Bender, take the path on the right. Leela and I will take the path on the left." Bender started humming and walked down the right-side path. Fry and Leela started down the left-side path. "I don't think this is a good idea, Fry." said Leela. They walked down the corridor. The path had more twists and turns than seemed possible. Leela spontaneously tore a piece of Fry's shirt and dropped it at a door. "Hey, what was that for?" he complained. "Be quiet. I need to test something out."
  73.
  74. She and Fry started walking again. "One, two, three, four, five." counted Leela. "What are you counting?" said Fry. Then Leela started walking back the way she came. "One, two, three, four, five." At the fifth door, she expected to find the scrap of clothing she dropped earlier. "It's gone! Either someone's following us--maybe Bender, or this is some sort of funhouse!" she exclaimed. Leela examined the surroundings. "Bender?" she called out. "Bender, this isn't funny." Except for a slight hum from the AC, everything was silent, and she couldn't see anybody down the corridor or in any of the office rooms. "You don't think it was a g-g-g-ghost, do you?" Leela shrugged. "The best thing we can do is keep walking. I hope Bender is alright."
  75.
  76. Fry and Leela kept walking. The office kept twisting and winding. "I think we're going deeper into the facility." she said. "Look inside the offices." The offices appeared to have more and more complicated technology as they kept walking. Various posters and bulletin boards started to plaster the wall. One poster said "Testing is the future, and the future starts with you." A bulletin board had been plastered with data. One bulletin board had a picture of a young girl, that looked like she was eleven years old. Numbers and graphs were scrawled all over the sheet. There was a datestamp on it.
  77.
  78. "Fry, look at this! This document was created in 1973! We went back in time!" said Leela. "Maybe we didn't go back in time. Maybe this universe is just set in the past." he said. "Besides. Look at how faded the paper is. It must be really old. Who knows what year it is?" Leela thought about that for a minute. "It doesn't matter what year it is right now. All we need to do is find a way out of here!" she said.
  79.
  80. They walked even further. "It's been almost an hour that we've been walking, and I know that we haven't been walking in circles! I think we need to rest here." Leela was about to sit down when Fry gasped. "Leela, look! It's an elevator! Maybe it will have a map in it!" he said. "Fry, every time I've taken your advice, something bad happens." she said. Fry looked her in the eye. "Look, we're already lost. It won't hurt to look. Maybe we'll find something."
  81.
  82. Leela reluctantly agreed. As Fry approached the elevator, the doors opened by themselves. "Cool! Motion activated elevator doors!" he said. They both stepped into the elevator, the doors closing behind them. "Wh... Where are the buttons?" he said, looking around. The elevator jerked into movement downwards on its own. A strange smell filled the elevator. Fry and Leela looked up. A pinkish gas was being sprayed into the elevator. "Fry..." Leela yawned. "Wh... What did you do?" she said, slumping down to the floor. "I didn't do anything!" He said, yawning, slumping to the floor next to Leela. "Y... you screwed... screwed us up... again..." she said, nodding off. "I'm sorry... so... tired..." said Fry, before nodding off into an unconscious sleep next to the already knocked out Leela.

  90. A/N I think I got the strange facility layout idea from Antichamber, a game where things keep changing every time you look at it, even though it does have a comprehendable layout, once you play it enough times. I also got some of the idea from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. I love the way the dungeons constantly change. So the next chapter is where the plot really starts. Once again, I didn't want this to be a one-shot. I like plot-development.

  102. A/N I don't tyically switch around point-of-views, but because of the way I half-planned the story out, from this point forth, it's better if I write it in the first-person POV and give notice when I switch characters. I wouldn't call it roleplay, but it's going to be of a similar structure, only that I play all sides. The chapters will be a bit shorter than the other ones, as each chapter will have a different character attached to it. I hope it doesn't get too confusing.
