- [Session Info]
- Each 'Session' will be a unique version of a SBURB-style Game intended to make a number of its participants ascend into Godhood. Some of these Game Types may be Lethal, forcing the Characters to fight to Survive, and others may hold different and more Emotionally or Mentally Taxing Game Rules. Be sure to read the Session Information of the Game Type you're signing up for to be clear on if the Session will feature Character Death or not.
- A number of trolls and humans are placed within an arena by SBURB and forced to live in close quarters. All of the amenities of living are provided--food, water, adequate shelter, clothing, etc. Each Typist MUST have at LEAST 2 Characters, with a Maximum of 3 Characters if they wish to participate in the SBURB Session. If a Session involves character Death, or a Maximum ‘Ascension’ limit, each Typist is GUARANTEED to have AT LEAST one Character reach God Tier so long as they don’t purposefully get into a lethal fight with another character once receiving Game Immunity. This ensures that someone cannot roleplay without a sense of risk/roleplay and know their singular character will be safe.
- This universe's SBURB operates under the assumption that random chance is the best determinant of an alpha timeline. Every troll and human here has a class and aspect title. They have not yet ascended and become Godtier; that will happen when 'The Win Condition' is met.
- Three times per IRL week (on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays) 'The Roll' is initiated. Every character in the server is assigned a publicly visible number. 'The Roll' mechanic changes depending on the SBURB Session type, so please make sure you’re up-to-date on the information for your Current Session. If you have any questions, please ask an Admin.
- All characters MUST either be from The Server’s Modern-day Earth (so no faster-than-light travel, alien contact, etcetera), or Condesce-ruled Alternia (virtually indistinguishable from Canon Homestuck). Unless your character has already participated in a Server SBURB Session, your character has never played SBURB before now.
- [Devices and Communication]
- All characters are equipped with a small mobile device of Skaianet Make.
- Their mobile device reacts only to their thumbprint, and they may only contact other SBURB Players (restricted to those In-Session or those Out-of-Session depending on location). Their conversations are totally secure and protected from outside interference, except in the case of the Game itself.
- Their mobile device shows the Owner's position within the Game, and shows the geography of the Game dependent on the Game Type. This is all the device shows; the character cannot see where other characters are, cannot see things on a street-level view (i.e. Google Maps), etc.
- Your character can take pictures with their phone, but these pictures may only be accessed by their thumbprint, same as any of the other features of these phones.
- [Stages of RP]
- 1. Stage one: Entry
- This stage lasts at least three days IRL and allows for characters to mingle and bond prior to the first Roll. Characters enter into the universe/arena, explore their surroundings and find out their aspects and titles from a large electronic bulletin display and/or their Provided Skaianet-brand Electronic Device.
- 2. Stage two: The Roll
- The first Roll will happen on the first Monday, Thursday or Saturday (whichever is closest to three days' time) after the roleplay begins. Rolls happen three times a week on the aforementioned days. During this stage the Session’s Mechanics will come into play.
- 3. Stage three: Win Condition
- While the Win Condition will vary, typically the Game will end when half of the Total Players have met specific Milestones towards winning the game. This may change depending on the Mechanics of the Session.
- Upon a Win Condition being met, every character is immediately granted Godtier status and can use their aspects and classes as they please. At the next Sunrise, the Characters will be transported back to the exact location they were taken from Weeks to Months later depending on the length of the Session.
- This is considered the end of the Session, but roleplay can continue past this point. Godtier characters may move back into ‘Meanwhile Back Home’ and influence their Universe, they may influence the Rolling of another Session's players, etc etc. Explore what you want to do after the 'Win condition' is met; your characters are Gods now. Have fun.
