    – she's only met him once, which was when she first found out about being a demigod. they're not really close, and he's more like an uncle who lives in another country that you know exists but you never really talk to. her mother has since moved on from him, and was civil towards him when annie and him first met, but they don't really talk about him that much. her step father doesn't like him at all, and her younger siblings are too young to understand who he really is, which can sometimes make things awkward when her dad comes up in a conversation and the twins start asking questions about it.

    ◦ annie was born lê lan anh in hanoi, vietnam, to a single mother, lê min hoa. as a demigod daughter of hermes, her father was never around, and had pretty much disappeared as soon as annie's mother found out she was pregnant. however, annie loved her mother so much more because of this, and admire's her mother's strength to raise her, despite hoa's own parents advising her to put annie up for adoption. annie's birth caused conflicts between her mother and her grandparents, as they both had different views on whether or not annie should be put up for adoption, or raised by her own mother, who was actually still rather young at the time. annie's grandparents insisted that hoa still had a very bright future ahead of her, and that she shouldn't throw everything away because of a baby. eventually, when annie was two, her mother grew sick of her own parents and their constant opinion on how annie should be brought up, and left vietnam, travelling to australia, which was were she'd attended college. they moved to darwin in the northern territory, and soon afterwards, all contact was dropped between hoa and her parents, and annie and her mother were free in their new home. since she was brought up in australia for most of her life, annie learnt to speak english, and her mother also taught her vietnamese, choosing to talk to annie in vietnamese around the house, so she'd eventually grow up to become bilingual in both languages. when annie started school at the age of four, her mother met a man by the name of edward dawson. he was a primary school teacher, and worked at the school that annie attended. needless to say, the pair were rather interested in each other, and started dating. at first, annie wasn't keen on the relationship, even though she was too young to understand what was really happening between them (but she was dead set on not approving it anyway, because she was under the impression that he was going to steal her mother away). it took a while for annie to finally begin to approve of her mother relationship with edward dawson (another five years to be exact), and only after edward proposed to her mother. at first, annie had not been happy, but her mother had sat her down, and explained that nothing was going to change, and that she would still always love annie. her mother and edward got married when annie was ten, and only six months later did they announce that they were expecting twins (annie hadn't been happy with this either, and had been very jealous over the whole thing.) the twins were born nine months later, a boy and a girl named mitchell and michaela respectively.
    ◦ it wasn't until annie was thirteen that she finally found out about her real dad. her mother never really talked about her biological father, annie was sort of scared to ask, not wanting her mother to react badly to the questions. of course, she was kind of confused and heavily annoyed when he turned up to tell her everything, while her mother calmly supervised them from the kitchen. of course, she did not react to well and blew up, refusing to speak to anyone for two days afterwards. her father waited until she'd calmed down enough before returning an attempting to talk to her again. this time, annie didn't start yelling at him, but instead continued to give one word answers to any of his questions. her father is the only god she's ever met, and she didn't really see him that often, maybe only once ever six months, if that, and only to check up on her (basically to make sure she wasn't dead). annie's step father wasn't really keen on the whole thing, but was reassured by annie's mother that she had completely moved on. annie's younger siblings were too young to understand what was going on, and they're still confused about it now, only knowing annie's dad as her 'uncle from vietnam'. when annie told her friends at school, majority of them hadn't believed her at first, and though she was joking. they were actually very surprised when they found out it was true, and they spent a few weeks asking her millions of questions about it (half of which annie actually didn't know the answer to), before everything died down and went relatively back to normal. she was scouted while on holiday in korea with her mother, step dad and siblings when she was fifteen, and they told her to attend an audition. her mother left the decision completely up to her, but when her siblings found out, they started pestering her about it, saying that she should go and become famous so that they could tell all their friends at school that they new a famous person. annie only went to the audition to humour them, and didn't expect to actually be accepted. she eventually took up the offer, and began her training at the company, before she was put in mystic and debuted with them a year later.

» | PERSONALITY:
    ◦ if there is one thing you can say about annie lê, it's that you should never let her looks fool you. she might look like the most innocent person on the planet, but she's far from it. as a daughter of hermes, she means trouble, and she has a knack for causing it, whether it be on purpose or not. she can be very manipulative, and can very easily get people to do whatever she wants them to, usually with a bit of aegyo. she has killer aegyo, which is all part of her innocent act. she practically leaks of cuteness, even when she's not trying, which often has people mistaking her for the maknae, even though she's not the youngest. along with her relatively chatty nature, always talking on broadcasts and doing whatever asked of by fans (within reason). she fits the description of evil maknae almost perfectly (except for the fact that she's not the maknae) and she can be very sneaky, and is great at pulling pranks and sneaking around (and then pretending to be totally innocent afterwards with big doe eyes). people have described her as an honest liar, because she is the type of person to not go blurting out her secrets every chance she gets, or immediately take the blame for her tricks. however, if you figure out that it is her (which usually it's not hard because she's often the first person you'd think to blame) and go and ask her she'll tell you right away. this can make her less trustworthy though, because if asked, she will blurt all of your secrets. she is the type of person to act extremely innocent, and would probably just smile at you brightly as if to charm you all while stealing whatever is in you pockets. annie is a pretty good pickpocket, and would probably be a very good criminal if she decided to use her talents for evil. that being said, you should always watch your wallet around her, because if you take your mind off it for a second, she will not hesitate to strike, and go through all of your money (and then probably find some way to tease you about the photo in your id if it happens to be in said wallet). despite all of this, she doesn't really mean any harm, and will give you back your belongings, only choosing to steal them in the first place to see if she can take it without you noticing, and to see how long it actually takes the person to realise that it's gone. she isn't the smartest in the group, and is more street smart than she is book smart. if you ask her to start solving maths equations, she'd probably get confused at a lot of the basic stuff, as embarrassing as it is, and tries to avoid having to do that sort of thing on tv, in case she does it wrong and embarrasses herself in front of all her fans. despite not seeming like it, she can be very competitive, and will not stop once you get her riled up. if you do somehow get her riled up in the middle of a sporting game, your team will lose, and annie will do everything in her power to make sure her team comes out victorious. however, annie herself seems to be the only one who doesn't actually realise how competitive she can be. you should never ever piss her off, because she is actually really good at digging up blackmail on you, and holding it against you for the rest of your life. if you find someway to get on her bad side, she can't guarantee that she'll keep your fifth grade secret to herself, so be careful what you do around her. she is extremely stubborn, and is the type of person to always stick to her original opinion, and even if she knows she's wrong, she will not back down. she will not just sit still when something is bothering her, and never goes down without a fight (and you can bet that this is what she'll do on sacrificial lamb).

» | WHY DID YOUR CHARACTER AUDITION TO BECOME A TRAINEE?
    ◦ she only auditioned because her step sister found out about it, and the younger girl told annie that she wanted her to become famous so that she could say that her big sister was an idol, but she's still too young to understand about the wrath and what not. annie only auditioned to humour her little sister, and actually didn't think she'd be accepted (so it was a big surprise when she was). she eventually took up the offer, because she hadn't really thought about doing anything else with her life, and was secretly just hoping that she wouldn't have to compete on sacrificial lamb. (obviously that didn't work out)

    ◦ she's primarily a rapper, but she does do a bit of singing in their songs (not very often though), but she doesn't have any main parts with high notes or anything. her vocal skills are just average, and they're nothing overly special, since she spends most of her time trying to improve her rap skills instead.

» | STYLE OF RAP:
    ◦ she isn't the best rapper, and there is still a lot of room for improvement (obviously), but she is pretty decent. her rap style is somewhat similar to CHAEYOUNG of TWICE's. however, she can rap a lot faster, but doesn't often do so in the group's songs because a) she's only the lead rapper, so the faster raps are going to go to the main rapper, and b) she's not a native korean, and while her knowledge of the language is really good, sometimes she screws up her pronunciation when she raps too fast.

» | STYLE OF DANCE:
    ◦ she's not one of the group's official dancers, but that isn't to say she can't dance. she's a decent dancer, but she is nowhere near as good as the main and lead dancers. she didn't really have much training in dance before becoming a trainee, so really the only styles she's ever experimented with are the ones that go with the concepts of the group. however, she is more on the flexible side (not overly flexible, but she is relatively supple).

    ◦ annie can rap (and sing) in english, and is slightly more confident in doing so, due to living in an english speaking country for most of her life, and growing up speaking english as her main language

» | HOW THEY ACT ON STAGE:
    ◦ she is usually able to pull of the group's concepts quite easily, but she is also the type to try and act seductive and end up looking cute instead. she still lives up to her image of the groups 'FAKE MAKNAE', even when she's not trying to. she never hesitates to do any form of fan service, and will literally do anything she's asked (within reason, of course). she always has a spark in her, which makes fans wonder just what is going on in the little head of hers.

» | HOW THEY ACT OFF STAGE BUT ON CAMERA:
    ◦ she is a cheeky little thing that absolutely plays up to the love of her other members. she acts like a maknae would, so it's really no surprise that people often think she's the youngest in the group. she also really likes sucking up to fans as well, and is a queen of fan service, always doing aegyo and throwing hearts towards the camera. she is also rather chatty, and wants to become a variety queen. she basically still acts like her usually self, but tends to tone it down a little bit due to the image she has to uphold as an idol.

» | HOW THEY ACT OF STAGE AND OFF CAMERA:
    ◦ literally her normal self, and still buzzing with energy, practically jumping off the walls. she talks a lot, but there isn't much of a change between how she acts off stage and off camera and how she acts normally. she's a lot louder, and definitely a whole lot more cheeky, and always looks as if she's up to no good.

    ◦ she does aegyo all the time (claims she does it twice as much, to make up for the actual maknae who refuses to)

» | HARSHIPS AND STRUGGLES AS TRAINEE / IDOL :
    ◦ annie struggled a lot with the culture and the language. since she's of vietnamese decent, she never really had any reason to learn to speak korean until she became a trainee, so of course she wasn't exactly confident with her korean skills. at first, she often struggled to understand what the people around her were saying, and often need to have an interpreter around her until she got better at korean. now, while she can fluently speak korean, she still has a few issues with the culture, because it differs from how she was brought up in australia.
    ◦ she didn't suffer anything major from the trainers, other than the fact that they expected her language skills to be better than they were, and for her to pick up words faster than she could, and for her to have better pronunciation. of course, this made things difficult, especially as her main position was rap, and she had to spend hours trying to memorise the lyrics and their pronunciation.
    ◦ she didn't really suffer abuse from any of the other trainees either, mostly because she tried to avoid any sort of drama, and just steered clear of anyone who she might've gotten on the bad side of. most of the other trainees were also extremely weary of her after they found out she was a daughter of hermes, because they figured that she'd bring trouble wherever she went.

» | POWERS + SKILL LEVEL:
    ◦ LOCK MANIPULATION (8/10)
     - no one really taught her this, since she learnt to do it herself. she's accidentally picked the lock for the front door of her house when she was five years old, and became very interested after that, googling how to pick locks. it didn't take very long for her to become really good at it (probably due to the help from her father's genes), and it is probably the skill she's most confident in, even though she's not sure how useful it's going to be in the face of a show like sacrificial lamb.
    ◦ MONEY MANIPULATION (5/10)
     - she didn't really know about it until she was told, and her father was the one who taught it to her, after he dropped by to checkup her, (and by checkup, it was basically just to make sure she hadn't managed to land herself or anyone else in serious danger because of her skills. it's not her best skill, not is it her worst, she's just in between, and her skill is basically average.
    ◦ TELEPORTATION (2/10)
     - teleportation is definitely her worst skill, because she cannot really control it that well. she didn't really know that it existed until her dad mentioned it at one of his little "check ups" on her. her skill level is extremely low, because out of all of her powers, this is the one she's most terrified of. honestly, a lot can go wrong with teleportation, especially when you don't know what your doing, which has kind of scared her out of ever thinking about trying to learn how to do it. she's been terrified of the power ever since she actually managed to teleport herself half way across asutralia. since then, she's only learnt how to stop herself from accidentally teleporting without meaning to, but no how to actually teleport properly by will.

» | EXPERIENCE + SKILL WITH WEAPONS/FIGHTING STYLES: (i combined both sections, i hope you don't mind)
    ◦ DAGGER ; skill level (8/10)
     - honestly, when she first started learning how to use weapons, she kind of just went straight for the dagger, because she found something smaller to be more appealing. the way she saw it, a dagger was lighter, so it wouldn't drag her down, and it was easy to conceal. her father wasn't as keen with her choice, and tried to steer her towards a staff or something, but annie was stubborn and refused. eventually, her father just gave up and taught her to use it. and by that, he basically sat there for an hour and explained the basics, and then left her on her own (which is where youtube because very useful to annie). she kind of just kept practising with it. this is her best skill, probably because the dagger was the first weapon she ever learned to fight with.
    ◦ PISTOL ; skill level (6/10)
     - again, she found this appealing because it was smaller, and could easily be clipped onto her belt, and it wasn't overly bulky to carry around. since the dagger is more of a short distance weapon, she thought it might be good to have a long distance weapon as well to use over a longer range. no one really taught her this, she kind of just worked out how to shoot the bullet, and then practiced by herself to improve her aim (her father didn't really seem impressed with her choice this time either). to be honest, she's much more confident with a dagger than she is with a gun, but she still knows how to use it if she needs to. she's also got a decent aim, and while it isn't exactly 100% on target every single time, she is still able to hit a moving target.
    ◦ TAEKWONDO skill level ; (3/10)
     - the only type of combat she knows is taekwondo, from learning it as a child. however, annie wasn't exactly keen on it at the time, and used to hate going to the lessons, and dropped out of it before she could get to any of the advanced levels. so to be honest she's not that confident with it, and is the type to try and avoid having a straight out hand to hand combat fight. she'd feel a lot more confident if she was armed.

» | HOW DO THEY FEEL ABOUT BEING ON SACRIFICIAL LAMB?
    ◦ she's high-key scared shitless (even though she's trying to hide it) and she's dead certain that she's probably going to die, but she's promised herself that she won't go down without a fight (her life motto). she didn't want to have to compete on the show, and was kind of hoping that MYSTIK would be one of the lucky groups that never had to participate. however, she knows that there is no way she's getting out of it, so she kind of just wants to get it over with.

» | HOW WOULD YOUR CHARACTER REACT TO KILLING SOMEONE? WHAT IF S/HE WAS CLOSE TO THAT PERSON? WHAT IS S/HE HAD TO DO IT TO SURVIVE OR TO SAVE SOMEONE THEY ARE CLOSE WITH?
    ◦ annie would go in the show with the mindset that she wouldn't actually kill anyone. of course, i don't think she'd be able to see this through, because she's going to try her best to try and get out of it alive, preferably with her group mates at her side. however, i don't think she'd kill anyone unless it was the last resort, and there was no other option to get herself and her group mates out alive. i still think she'd end up having a hard time doing so, and if she did kill the other person, it would probably be by some sort of accident that hadn't gone according to her original plan of action. however, annie would not be able to kill any of her group mates, and she'd probably also have a hard time killing the SON OF HERMES from ROYALTY, because they both children of hermes.

» | HOW WOULD YOUR CHARACTER REACT TO WATCHING SOMEONE DIE? WHAT IF S/HE WAS CLOSE TO THAT PERSON?
    ◦ i don't think she'd be the type of person to watch someone die without throwing up. i think she'd also feel really bad afterwards, and wonder if there was anything that could've been done to save them. if it was one of her group members, she'd probably be very distraught, and would have to be dragged away from the scene, and would probably end up throwing up from the sight of it. her reaction probably wouldn't have been as bad if it happened to anyone from the other groups (unless she got close to any of them, or it was the son of hermes from ROYALTY, because then she'd probably feel pretty bad about it). i also think she'd be even more upset if it was the DAUGHTER OF EROS, because annie is closest to her out of all of the other members, and i don't think she'd actually be able to get over that.

» | WOULD YOUR CHARACTER SABOTAGE SOMEONE ELSE? WHAT IF IT WAS TO SAVE SOMEONE S/HE IS CLOSE TO? HOW WOULD SHE REACT IF THAT CAUSED THE PERSON'S DEAHT?
    ◦ annie would probably be up to sabotaging some of the other groups, especially if it gave her and her group an advantage. however, she wouldn't really try anything that could kill the other person, at least not on purpose. she'd probably feel really guilty if it did end up causing someones death, because that wasn't her original intention, she'd just wanted to get her group a small advantage. she wouldn't have done it on purpose though, and if someone else was killed because of it, it would've been a total accident, either something that she didn't think about, or the other person trying to mess with her plan.
