Madie chats with Hailey

Idyllwild Arts Academy - Grand Library Elysium

	This enormous library includes several rooms extending from a single great hall. The walls includes two-story bookshelves accessible via tracked ladders. These shelves surround a lounge area under a vaulted ceiling which seems to hush sounds from sheer open space.

	The middle of the room is furnished with a large oriental rug, rustic tables, and plush seating under adequate lighting, suitable for reading as well as discussion. A comfortable, dark sapphire plush throne sits at the head of this section, on a raised platform, and is obviously meant for the Lady of the Library only. A small table with several well worn books sits next to it, all with titles written in different languages, including an early copy of the bible. A simple rosary, and cross sit on the table as well.

	There are out-croppings to each side that provide their own specialized collected works on a myriad of subjects. They are more secluded, offering a wooden table and chairs for a private study environment. Every such study area has plugs for charging devices, or plugging in laptops.

	Throughout the library, the scent of old books saturates the air and the warm lighting is perfect for soothing weary readers' eyes. You can just feel the history, and grandeur of the well loved, preserved, and respected books.

At the ruby couch, Hailey glances from her illustration to Madeline. The soft smile gets her to smile a bit herself. "Oh, good. And I love Amelie.. she takes good care of me .. and I can even do that whole.. make my heart beat thing now."

At the ruby couch, Madelines lovely eyes brighten and she smiles "Thats wonderful Hailey, it is not easy to learn, well done" the Elder says and nods "Amelie is very dear to me, I am so happy she was able to take you on"

"Me too," she says, fidgeting a moment and looking around as everyone slowly filters out. Her brows crease slightly and she runs her thumb along the framed edge of the illustration. "Why do you think the Imperator asked them to talk to me about what we could do with that movie theater?"

Madeline Brushes a lock of golden hair behind one ear "Because you are very new here, and it will do several things - it will help you get to know the members of the praxis, how to work with them and it will also show what your capable of. has anyone approached you yet?'


	Hailey nods her head as she scoots back into the sofa, settling more into the corner and angling her legs out. She drops her gaze down to the gift sitting on her skateboard. Her thumb is still running along the outer edge of the frame. "Yeah," she replies. "That's why I was at the table for so long and missed a lot of the stories. I pitched some ideas.."

Madeline nods as she listens to you, the Elder's eyes are kind "How did they go over so far?"

	"I don't know," Hailey lifts her shoulders slightly. Her teeth capture her lower lip, biting it gently on one side as she seems deep in thought for a few moments. "..The Sheriff .. kinda got on me for suggesting another art gallery, but that's not what I was suggesting. Like.. I suggested making it a multi-use space.. like.. a classroom for stuff like this, an art space to.. /make/ things not display them.. like you could hang garage doors on the walls and paint on them.. a gun range for people who like that kind of thing. Just.. a place to gather with a bunch of different stuff to do that isn't.." She gestures slightly. "So.. formal.. but I guess it actually needs to be redone for mortals? So I suggested making it like a vocational center.."

At the ruby couch, Madeline smiles "Dont let Paige put you off art, she keeps displaying paintings in Elysium so who is she to talk. I like the idea actually. And .. did the Imperator say it had to be for mortals? I may have missed that in the conversation at court"


At the ruby couch, Hailey shakes her head slightly. "I don't remember? I know that Theo has kind of an idea about underneath it being for us and reviving the upper part, the actual theaters, for the mortal community. And.. I think that's a good idea. But if.. you're all worried about people forgetting skills and how to make things? Well.. making it a vocational center for people to learn new job skills and get help with job placement .. that'd be amazing. Do you guys know how hard it is for people to get an education these days? To get help bettering themselves? I was only going to be able to afford to go to school if I wanted it because my grandparents left me a college fund.."

At the ruby couch, Madeline nods thoughtfully "Well Hailey, if they do not accept that idea for Edwards, I would be very open to creating such a center in Carlsbad. I think it is an exceptional idea"

At the ruby couch, Hailey smiles slightly. "Paige'll probably get on you for encouraging me. My first night here she told me.. I don't even remember now, but I took it like.. trying to discourage me from activism.. but.. I don't think people want to be dumb, Duchess. It's just not easy to get an education and a job anymore.."

At the ruby couch, Madeline smiles softly "Hailey.. what clan are you again?" she laughs softly "YOu are Toreador and we are known for such things here in Prospect, though you may well expect to hear the Imperator snort at any mention of charity or fundraisers" she chuckles "this would not be any of that. However, you are a childe, Amelie's childe.. not mine. So, see how the ideas go for Edwards and if they do not accept it for that location, your Sire and I shall sit down and discuss it, and how she might feel about me encouraging your pet project"
