  9. I was just going to ask you about the saber rattling by this administration, and by Hillary Clinton in regards to Russia. What is your sense of that? Don't you think we're playing with fire here? Isn't it dangerous to be saber rattling?
  10.
  11. CRAIG MURRAY
  12. Absolutely. It's remarkably stupid. I find it amazing that they can talk so recklessly about Russia. I mean, even at the height of the Cold War, politicians thought twice about directly accusing Russia of all kinds of things, all the time, in public. The rhetoric about Syria, the rhetoric about Putin, as an individual, and the suggestion that things like "no fly zones" could lead to direct conflict with the Russian air force, and all this absolute nonsense about Wikileaks being controlled by Russia and Russia trying to influence the election-

  14. CREDICO
  15. Right. And I'm going to read one of your- I love your tweets, by the way, because they're pithy, and they're cogent, and sometimes they're very funny. This is you the other day: "I can tell you, with a hundred percent certainty, that it is not any Russian state actor or proxy, that gives DNC and Podesta material to Wikileaks." That's a pretty heavy statement to make, a hundred percent certainty. Because everybody's blaming it on the Russians!
  16.
  17. MURRAY
  18. [laughs] Yeah, that's true. I can say that it is a hundred percent certain because I know where it comes from.
  19.
  20. CREDICO
  21. So why don't they ask you about that, since you know, why don't they ask you, you might say "I'm not going to tell you," but I believe you. I don't believe it's coming from the Russians. So why don't people say, let's talk to Craig Murray about this. Why doesn't MSNBC talk to Craig Murray about this, instead of talking to Podesta, or talking to John McCain?
  22.
  23. MURRAY
  24. Well, the last thing they want to know is the truth. And I would tell them the truth. I should say, the last time I was in the United States, a couple of months ago, for the Sam Adams Whistleblower Awards, where I met up with a dozen or so very very distinguished U.S. whistleblowers, from the CIA, the FBI, the NSA, and other organizations, and that was the occasion on which I got definite information where these leaks come from, and I was able to confirm that information when I met Julian Assange on Wednesday last week. I know where the stuff comes from, I know what it's about, it's not a hack, it's a leak, and the trouble is the media would far rather talk to people like John McCain who have no idea whatsoever about it-
  25.
  26. CREDICO
  27. But everybody's saying it! Liberal democrats are saying the same thing! We have my congressman, Jerrold Nadler, who is one of the few opponents of the PATRIOT act, and the NDAA, and other repressive post-9/11 legislation. I couldn't believe it, he's asking for an investigation by the FBI into _people who know Assange_. Now, I've had him [Assange] on this show, we've had him on this show, right, so I've been in communication on this show, I had to get through to him somehow, I was in London a few weeks back, I passed a letter off from the station, so he's talking about people like me, for having communication! He's looking for an FBI investigation.
  28.
  29. MURRAY
  30. It's crazy, isn't it. It turns into a stupid witch hunt and a test of patriotism, it's all those terrible evil Russians, which it isn't at all. There is no link whatsoever, between Wikileaks and Russia. So, I suppose, in a sense, they're welcome to have an investigation if they want to, I'd be happy to come over and talk to them, the difficulty is what they don't want is the truth.
  31.
  32. CREDICO
  33. The truth is that Russia is not involved in this.
