14. The town of Coldlock has one doctor, and you're looking at him. Unfortunately for anyone who has ever took sick or broken a leg, Spooky is not a particularly adept practitioner of the healing arts. Indeed, Spooky's credentials are virtually nonexistent, and, while he very much wants to be helpful, he often isn't. Chances are, anyone visiting Spooky for medical advice knows about as much as he does -- and maybe more, if they know better than to use duct tape in lieu of bandages on hairy clientele.
15.
16. As a result of Spooky's well-meaning incompetence, most folks in Coldlock know better than the let anyone obviously injured or sick wander in the doctor's direction. Many a limping or coughing patient has been stopped right in the street in broad daylight to be gently taken by the winghook or forepaw and guided away from Spooky and toward the town's archivist with the following statement: Don't ask. Trust me.
17.
18. Spooky's most enthusiastic patients are the young. Particularly the very young, with whom Spooky shares a love of warm, comfortable clothing (jumpers preferred), old cartoons, and all the classic trappings of Halloween -- the hokier the better, for both Spooky and his band of small young friends. While no responsible parent in their right mind would leave their child's care entirely up to the good doctor, some report it useful to have Spooky on hand to distract the child while removing splinters or adding salve to scrapes.
