  1. Now that he thought back on it, this could be used as a good practice of utilizing the Storm magic directly in combat.
  2.
  3. Of course, he'd have no time to actually bend the weather like before, or even summon the element itself; instead, there was a much smaller process involved, on a fairly local level. In such quick fights, there was no time to perform any large rituals, so that's that.
  4.
  5. A vortex must be made, instead.
  6.
  7. Coating himself in the embrace of cold winds, and immediately jolting the arcs of electricity around himself, he created the presence of contradicting temperatures, ones that conjured a steamy, cloud-like appearance around Arthur - and it was already in possession of the sparks inside of it.
  8.
  9. The humidity in the air was enough, but he decided to go above and beyond, also utilizing the water magic in order to enhance the lightning, as well as create a field of Storm around him. This was bound to be a good practice.
  10.
  11. An odd vortex gathered around him.
  12.
  13. Arthur's scarlet eyes were planted upon Theodore. Unslinging his staff, one that assisted him in bending the Storm like that, he'd soon exclaim.
  14.
  15. "Come on, then."
  16.
  17. "I've been practising for a while. Show me how far you've come."
  18. (Arthur Rowan)
  19.
  20. Charges up his mana circuits with power of cosmos, the boy hadn't tried this trick up his sleeve for almost a year now, perhaps it would be a good idea to try and do this now?
  21.
  22. Theodore smacks both of his hands together, the dust gathered around him began to glow erratically, before merging with his body - seeping into him through his skin, empowering him as it flows within his mana circuits - causing his veins to glow intensely, in a beautiful sun-ray like yellow.
  23.
  24. While Arthur was sure to attempt and use storm magic, something he's been practicing for years, which requires mastery at quit ea few elementals, Theodore's magic was more concentrated and it flowed easily, empowering him from within as his body slowly began to glow and rise in heat.
  25.
  26. "Let's see what you got, Artie."
  27. (Theodore Rowan)
  28.
  29. This wasn't easy.
  30.
  31. To fall under constant restraint of his ethereal magics, to be a victim to the star dust that made its way to his lungs, to be showered in the meteors and gravitational obstacles that stood in his way - it wasn't easy at all to close any distance to Theodore and actually perform any damaging attacks.
  32.
  33. At least, damaging enough to overpower him.
  34.
  35. But thanks to fluidity that Storm magic allowed him, he was able to evade the attacks when it was most needed, embracing himself in the clouds that circled him and becoming one with them - he was, quite literally, an invincible cloud of smoke with which there was nothing to be done.
  36.
  37. That, instead, left a room for counterattack.
  38.
  39. By picking his time correctly, Arthur was able to utilize the bolts of Storm's lightning that were shot in Theodore's direction, and thus significantly damage him; the shredding winds that constantly chased after Theodore, cast by the Storm, made the significant obstacle that came between Theodore and him grasping the victory.
  40.
  41. In a final showdown, he mixed the techniques of bloodbending with that of a Storm.
  42.
  43. After locking up his joints as a whole, he flew on the Storm's wind, rode on its lightning to make his way to Theodore immediately- if only to unleash the water streams against him.
  44.
  45. With that, he was defeated.
  46.
  47. "-Huff."
  48.
  49. "Seems... seems I still got this, brother."
  50. (Arthur Rowan)
  51.
  52. The battle between the two was quite spectacular - lightning bolts rain at Theodore while Arthur found himself getting struck by a barrage of energy blasts, piercing through his defenses rather easily - etherical magic is quite the tool, however, Theodore had yet to muster up enough willpower to use it to it's fullest extent.
  53.
  54. Cosmic energy began to crackle, as Theodore used the dust to boost his magical capabilities beyond his normal limit, he began to slowly overcharge his circuits during the fight - causing his skin to start burning slowly - Theodore didn't mind that, he could feel himself growing faster with every passing minute.
  55.
  56. Cosmic rays become brighter, energy attacks become faster, meteors harbor greater size with each passing minute, Arthur could tell that his brother was working on an entirely different set of magical skills than him and it looked even more dangerous.
  57.
  58. His prosthetic eyes resonated to the type of magic he excerted, slowly joining in on the glow, Star Dust slowly became to seep out of it as it glew with the power of the cosmos, Theodore Rowan was no more - this new being before both him and Bei Bei looked more bold - slightly careless but all the more awe-inspiring.
  59.
  60. Nearing the end, Arthur found himself in a tough spot, narrowly dodging a Meteor which scraped his leg with it growing side and energy emitted, only to be greeted by Theodore dashing forth, using the speed boost to attempt and punch throw him - he was right to use blood to tense up his body then and there, otherwise, that punch was going to seal the round.
  61.
  62. Then, a whip and a lightning shock seemingly caused Theodore to fall on his back, gasping, the battle between the two was intense - one was the sun and the other was the moon. Bright and warm, the other cold and flashy.
  63.
  64. "We ought to go again, Arthur. I feel... Great.." He spoke, still charging his mana circuits, his energy seemed to overflow for now, he indeed seemed to be more careless than ever as of late, but it was managable, his circuits were not overheating just yet - it is apparent that Theodore's skin is glowing rather intensely.
  65. (Theodore Rowan)
  66.
  67. The Storm has slowly died out.
  68.
  69. Reducing the power of electricity that swarmed him, along with the humidity and winds, it eventually came to a total halt, and the vortex disappeared. Clearly, it had not enough presence in the atmosphere, and thus could not sustain itself any further.
  70.
  71. To some degree, it was a good thing that it dissipated so fast. Wouldn't want to let it go out of control, right?
  72.
  73. "We could--"
  74.
  75. "But not at the moment, no. I think it's a tad too early for us to be testing our mettle like that, so we could resume the training another time."
  76.
  77. Scrubbing against the hands that were in possession of mild burns on them, he'd exclaim.
  78.
  79. "Besides, I wanted to rest soon."
  80. (Arthur Rowan)
