[11:00 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The last time we were here, you have just solved the incident in Denstead, detained a few folks from the Greenwood Militia, and headed back to Ahrimal after a night's stay in Denstead. The village of Denstead is happy with what you've done for them, and would be more than cooperative with the party on various matters. You may stay here for as long as you wish, even settling down and retire as adventurers. Though with that said, there might be better place to retire than a small hamlet in middle of nowhere, where the primary career choice is scavengers.

  11. [11:03 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright. The deal is fairly simple: Beside for sustaining themselves, they'll sell most of their gathered supplies to the Fireblooms family at cost. This means a much cheaper supply of alchemical materials found in vincinity of Denstead, while supplies last.
  12. [11:04 AM] Eon: Elliot will emphasis he doesn't want people to risk themselves, so tell him immediately if complications arise or anything happens, etc.
  13. [11:04 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: This forms a profit or stockpile of goods in weekly/monthly report (We'll determine what seems more appropriate as the game goes on), of which the party, with Camellia in mind, having a large share in.

  16. [11:05 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: In exchange, Denstead gets a reasonable place to dump their good off, and should they meet with any further danger that the Kingdom of Ahrimal does not immediately respond to, they can at least request the Fireblooms (ie you guys) for further assistance.

  48. [11:14 AM] Faerie: Also, the deal above looks fine to Laiofe. He's particularly fond of the part where Denstead calls for them if trouble ever surfaces again, rather than the kingdom of Ahrimal. It might not be doable depending on how far away the group might be at any particular time, but yeah.

  54. [11:17 AM] Faerie: Laiofe agrees with Camellia's sentiment, nothing that ''Happens all the time in a place like this, I'd think.'', in reference to the whole of Fallshire. He was still wrapping his head around all the weird stuff he had seen so far.

  75. [11:21 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Assuming you depart for Ahrimal?

  77. [11:21 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Without objections, then, you bring your horses and take the day's journey toward Ahrimal.
  78. [11:22 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Ahrimal is the usual as you returned to it. Well, at least, close enough. The first thing you see when you enter Ahrimal is a burning building being contained by valiant "town guards" wearing full fireproof gears, wielding what seems to be decanter of endless water and spraying at the flame. The flame contorts and twists, screaming in anger and agony, as it devours a plank of wood from the ruined building, trying its best to stave off the town guard's ongoing assaults. Many citizens surround the scene in curiousity. This happen often enough that the citizens don't seem overly concerned, and the flame is being kept at bay well enough. A town guard, evidently one that found the situation, is keeping order with alchemically augmented sunrod - a metallic stick that glows like a torch when struck against a hard surface. The sunrod is shining brighter than the normal torch, and emits a pattern of red and blue light as the guard prods the lone alchemist being detained with it, asking questions. The alchemist stammers in reply.

Elliot: You recognize the building being one of the many, many Alchemist of Ahrimal's forward storage house, where they accept the goods that come into the city before distributing them outward to the invididual alchemists. It does catch on fire, burst with necromatic energy, or mysteriously animate every once in a while.

  82. [11:23 AM] Eon: What a shame. Elliot adjusts his glasses. A bit of prudence or sense of responsibility wouldn't hurt his fellow alchemists, now..
  83. [11:23 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Otherwise, Plaza of Salamander is in front of you.
  84. [11:24 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Hubris is a common sin of alchemists, after all.(edited)

  87. [11:25 AM] Faerie: Laiofe makes his way to anyone looking large and in charge. Any obvious personnel like that nearby, besides the occupied town guard? Was an extra pair of hands needed? He stays to ask questions - if the party wants to go on without him.
  88. [11:25 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Nobody is asking too much question as to why you have a collection of men in shackles. Slavery isn't legal in Ahrimal, but people just assumed that you have good reason for this - and the town guards are sort of occupied.
  89. [11:26 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The town guards are all on some sort of business, and the one that's questioning the hapless alchemist would be the one you want to speak with.
  90. [11:26 AM] Mizuki: "They don't look surprised at all." - Commented Camellia turning to Elliot. - "Even after living here for more than an year, it still seems a bit strange to me."(edited)
  91. [11:26 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: He takes a look at the party. "Yes?" He says, a hint of annoyance evident in his voice, likely from having to deal with another fire.
  92. [11:27 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The animated fire roars and hammers at one of the guard, who raises a shield that repels the flame, and sprays more decanter at it.
  93. [11:27 AM] Runic: Not familiar with the city life of Ahrimal, he's curious of what's going on. But due to the the lack of panic form the people and guards around them, Sully isn't too worried. Still curious.
  94. [11:27 AM] Eon: "Unfortunately. I wish this wasn't a regular thing.." Elliot rubs his temples.
  95. [11:28 AM] Faerie: He quickly catches up with what his eyes show him. ''Sorry to intrude, but were any people inside at the time of the fire?''(edited)
  96. [11:28 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... For what it's worth, citizens, please keep a safe distance from the fire." The town guard sighs, "We cannot guarantee your safety if you join in the firefighting out of altruism. As for people inside - yeah, this guy." He lightly prod the alchemist.
  97. [11:29 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The alchemits whimpers, "S-sorry, I didn't think that the iron flask would've had a violent etheric reaction wi-"
  98. [11:29 AM] Faerie: Noting the man is very much alive, Laiofe'll shrug and wish the guard luck with his duties, losing interest. ''Alright, then.'' Interest lost.
  99. [11:29 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Look, chill." The town guard says, trying to calm the alchemist down. "This happen often enough; We deal with the fire, the Alchemist Guild deal with you, alright?" He sighs.(edited)

  102. [11:30 AM] Eon: But first, to the authorities?
  103. [11:30 AM] Faerie: (Man, you could make a living on shit like this with Fire immunity, huh)
  104. [11:30 AM] Mizuki: "Well, looks like this matter is taken care of." - She said. - "Lets move."

  106. [11:31 AM] Eon: In any case, while they're walking through the streets, Elliot would holler the following, if to dispel doubts and err, shamelessly promote themselves:
  107. “Hear ye, hear ye! By the grace of Lady Camellia Firebloom and her entourage, accompanied by Sir Sullivan Mungo, the notorious crook Telrin Greenwood and his band of ruffians have been apprehended! His legend ends here, bounded and gagged!”
  108. [11:31 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "FORE!" One of the town guard shouts, throwing something at the animated flame. A burst of frost covers the building, causing the animated flame to shriek, hissing before winking out of existence.
  109. [11:31 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: People... Look a few curious look at Elliot, but largely doesn't seem to pay much attention.
  110. [11:31 AM] Hiroyuki Sora: "Oh cool, a frost bomb. We should get some of those too" Rein mumbles to himself
  111. [11:31 AM] Mizuki: (Rowan was holding the lantern of revealing iirc, gonna put it on my sheet, okay?)
  112. [11:32 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: As you travel in the plaza, the others, being merchants and other adventurers, don't seem to care much about your shouting. Telrin, however, is throughly humiliated.
  113. [11:32 AM] Eon: Aw. Though, that is a very pleasant side-effect.
  114. [11:32 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The other members of the Greenwood Militia - those captured - are paraded.
  115. [11:32 AM] Faerie: A thought's beamed into Elliot's brain as Laiofe walks behind the group, a prudent (but not ridiculous) distance away. |Flashy.|
  116. [11:32 AM] Mizuki: "I guess he didn't cause much trouble to the people inside the safety of the city walls." - Smiled Camellia.
  117. [11:33 AM] Runic: "So it's this alchemy junk that caused the fire, huh." Sully says before crossing his arm, closing his eyes and furrowing his brow in thought. As of now his opinion of alchemy as a druid is slowly dropping. "Dangerous." he mutters
  118. [11:33 AM] Eon: "Hmm. I suppose not. Still, the bounty likely speaks more favorably than the tepid reception."
  119. [11:33 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... One of the town guard catches up with you, after the fire, huffing a little. "... huff, huff. Right, gentlemen and ladies." He says, coughign a little.
  120. [11:34 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "You have prisoners of bandits?" He inquires.
  121. [11:34 AM] Eon: Elliot swivels to face him, adjusting his glasses in a fluid motion.
  122. "Indeed. Of Telrin Greenwood, no less."

  127. [11:34 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Ahh..." The guard takes a long look at Telrin, as if confirming something.
  128. [11:36 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Yes, I've confirmed that you've indeed captured one Telrin Greenwood. Please, esteemed sirs and ladies - " He says this without dropping a bit, and as if not wanting to inquire what gender the golem with the party is - "This way, to the regional office, where we may discuss reward for your deeds."

  132. [11:37 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: You didn't have to actually go elsewhere, per se; Moments later, two iron carriages arrive, dragged on by horses of iron, bearing official sigils of Ahrimal. The carriage is spacious and levitated against shock and bumps - not that there are any in the Ahrimal's roads.
  133. [11:38 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's spacious enough for all of you and all your prisoners.
  134. [11:38 AM] Runic: Sully recovers himself, previously lost in thought. And follows the group before getting left behind.
  135. [11:38 AM] Faerie: As previously arranged, Laiofe goes for the portable bouncer routine, standing behind those wanting to make themselves heard.
  136. [11:39 AM] Eon: With any luck, they wouldn't need to sit with the prisoners. Heavens knows Elliot had faced enough glaring from their dear friend Telrin in combat already.
  137. [11:39 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: The regional office, as the guard calls it, is several miles away. But on the carriage, it's only taken you moments. The prisoners are kept separately, under watchful eyes of other guards.
  138. [11:40 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Once there, the prisoners are processed by the town guards, while an officer, a smiling lady with flowing crimson hair, greets the party, willing to speak with you at length regarding your recent adventure.

  153. [11:41 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Yeah, the horses are returned safe and sound.
  154. [11:42 AM] Mizuki: "I'm Camellia Firebloom." - Nodded the girl respectfully. - "A pleasure to meet you, sheriff."
  155. [11:42 AM] Faerie: 'What's a sheriff?', the golem wonders to himself.
  156. [11:42 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... She takes a look at Rionid, whose's with the party, for a moment, but says nothing. "Yes. I've received news that you captured Telrin Greenwood."
  157. [11:42 AM] Eon: Elliot bows, and stands at attention.
  158. [11:43 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "It is a great blow to the recent activities that they perform against Ahrimal." She smiles. "And if possible, Ahrimal would like to reward you... And I see that you are Pioneer Knights? And an Alchemist, no less."
  159. [11:43 AM] Faerie: (''Hey now, the poster said 'Rionid of the Greenwood Millitia'! This is just Rionid'')(edited)

  161. [11:44 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "First, the monetary: This isn't enough for the deed you've performed, but please accept this as thanks." She produce a heavy pouch of gold and platnium coins, totalling to 3500 GP.

  163. [11:45 AM] Mizuki: "Lady Flaris, before anything else, I must say that he's in a really poor condition at the moment." - Said Camellia - "I fear he has little time left, according to our Alchemist." - She finished gesturing on Elliot's way, maybe he could give her the details, if needed?
  164. [11:46 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "You may, of course, keep anything from the Greenwood Bandits that you've found that does not belong to the Kingdom of Ahrimal in official capacities." ... Which roughly translates to, you being able to keep whatever you find unless it's something that officially belogns to Ahrimal. Standard procedure.
  165. [11:46 AM] Runic: Sully grins dumbly, eyes shining in the presence of a lot of coinage. Especially one being handed to him and his group.
  166. [11:46 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Hm. We'll examine his condition." Flaris says, holding a hand to her ear, as if listening to some magical device.
  167. [11:47 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Yes, the doctor will offer him basic aids." Flaris confirms.
  168. [11:47 AM] Eon: "He was brought back by magic, but I fear it didn't work perfectly. Not a terribly big loss though, I imagine."
  169. [11:47 AM] Faerie: Indeed, until the day Ahrimal finds a way to convert gold into life essence, no amount of money would be able to wash the spilled blood from two days ag- wait, Alchemy. Maybe there was such a thing - Laiofe makes a note to ask Elliot about it later.

  171. [11:48 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: Flaris smiles sweetly. "I believe that you were advertising your deed back in the Plaza?"

[11:49 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "The Kingdom of Ahrimal is more than happy to help you spread your news; We'll request for an article to be included in the next regional newspaper, and submit a report to the king during next Grand Court. Of course, you may choose to personally attend and report this matter instead, seeing that you are an Alchemist."

  175. [11:50 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Well, even if you aren't, I am more than happy to bring you excellent folks there." She smiles softly.

  193. [11:54 AM] KogasaGaSagasa: She pauses for a moment, before turning red, stammering, "Uh, I m- I don't mean lodging as in a stay in the department, I mean that we can arrang- I mean that we have con- Oh, uh..."

[12:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The kingdom of Ahrimal, under Roland the Wise’s rule, follows the tradition passed down since the first Queen, and holds a monthly Grand Court in which all Alchemists of Ahrimal, all nobles, and all piece holders may attend. Those with special permissions may attend the court as well. The Grand Court happens on the 1st day of the month, and is meant for the nobles and others who hold pieces of land to submit special requests or reports, but also for the public’s voice to be heard. Roland himself makes attempt to attend to each Grand Court, while Elayna Starshire makes decision for any matters of urgency and offers the king advice. The Grand Court attendees are expected to dress properly, are often followed by a small number of other attendants. A feast is served during the court hours, and attendees are allowed to come and leave as long as they follow the proper etiquette.

[12:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: During a Grand Court, the monarch attends to the monthly reports (Or at least, whatever reports deem safe enough for public knowledge) by various advisor, and set the general directions in which respective fields should take. After that, specific issues within the city of Ahrimal itself is brought up, from holiday celebrations to alchemical experimentations requiring royal signatures. The Grand Court then takes care of the Pioneer Knights’ needs out in the wilderness and bordering lands. Expansionists within the Verdant Forest, for example, may report activities of the Greenwood Militia and request for Ahrimal’s armed intervention when situation goes too far for them to handle, while the Pioneer Knights of North Ahrimal may report unnatural floods or droughts or attacks by supernatural creatures. Generally, only Pioneer Knights within the Ahrimal Peninsula are able to attend the Grand Court, though occasionally Pioneer Knights from the Wilderness attend the Grand Court in order to report certain special things of note and make announcements.

Security during the Grand Court is tight, considering the public nature of the court; Roland is rumored to be under various alchemical and arcane protections from the Regent, and various divinations are held within the hall. Magical items that prevents detection are generally asked to be removed beyond the ones for important figures of the Ahrimal Chessboard, though weapons and other gears are allowed. Detection methods against shapeshifters are employed, through lycantropes and even doppelgangers are welcomed within the Grand Court, so long as they clearly identify their nature. Those who are Cursed are required to register and have their curse either be lifted or ascertained by various methods.
