Adam Dont Be Mad

Alexithymiaa: -Adam was standing behind the counter milling around with getting paperwork in order for custom orders, the stapler sitting in front of him as he carefully paired invoices for the customer with order confirmations and stapled them together. He had a decent pile going on, pleased that he'd been able to avoid Eli for a majority of his shift because he didnt know how he could even look at him after learning that he'd cheated on Bliss.-
Covet: Eli had been wadering around helping customers most of the evening, chit chatting and letting them know about the up coming cosplay event. He saw Adam over at the counter working on orders and thought he'd check in with him. "Hey Man, How's it going?"  He said in his normal friendly demeanor.
Tsaaq: Bliss spoke idly with one of the customers, attempted to upsell some more issues in order to improve the transaction. "If you're ready to check out? You can head over to the counter right this way?" She told the person, waving her hand in Eli and Adam's direction.
Alexithymiaa: "Good." He spoke shortly to Eli when he'd come up to talk to him, keeping his eyes down on his work and altogether avoiding looking into Eli's face as a whole. He didn't stop his motions as he sorted through the papers, stapling them together in a borderline aggressive way.-
Covet: "Uh, alright. That's good to hear. Did the orders do something to offend you?" He asked concerned at the way he was manhandling the stack and the stapler, then gave a big grin to Bliss, waving back at her.
Tsaaq: Bliss blew Eli a kiss and she giggled. She grinned at Eli and waved her hand at the customer before going to grab a clean rag to wipe off the tables near the door.
Alexithymiaa: "Nope." He spoke shortly to Eli again, not making eye contact. He picked up the stapled stack once he'd finished, tapping them on the counter to get them in order before turning away from Eli without another word, heading into the office to file them appropriately.-
Covet: Eli was confused then thought he'd prod a little further, "You sure everything's alright, Adam?" He asked, "You, seem a little tense..."He broke away for a second to help the customers coming up to the counter, getting them rang up.
Tsaaq: Bliss looked in their direction and watched Adam sulk his way into the office. She furrowed her eyebrows and made her way to the counter as well. "Need help dear?" She asked.
Alexithymiaa: "Everythings great." He said with a bit of a snap before he'd disappeared into the office with the paperwork. Once he'd filed the paperwork in the appropriate place, he emerged from the office, directing his question only at Bliss whereas it was normally a question he'd ask Eli. "Is there anything specific you need me to do?"-
Covet: "Okay then." he said then turned his head with a concerned look on his face, that was still there when Bliss came up, "Nope, I think I've got this one. But uh.. maybe find out what's eating Adam? He seems to be in a bit of a mood tonight." He said while Adam was back in the office, having gone back to finishing up checking the customer out, by the time he came back out.
Tsaaq: She nodded her head at Eli, gviing him a not-so-subtle thumbs up. "Oh, um..." Bliss trailed off as she turned to him. "I've been trying to tidy everything up. Wiping everything that's glass down. It's getting exceptionally dusty in here..." She told him with a shrug. "So wiping down the lights over the booths would be nice? I'll help." She said.
Alexithymiaa: "No problem, Bliss. Whatever you need." He spoke genuinely to her, grabbing a rag and the spray from behind the counter before heading over in the direction of the table. He was tall enough to be able to slip into the booth and reach the light without having to stand on the cushions, spraying the glass fixture before wiping the rag over the stained glass.-
Covet: Eli could see the stark difference of how Adam was speaking to Bliss, versus himself. He swallowed and gave a bit of a sigh wondering what could be on his mind. He tried to think of anything recently that he had possibly forgotten, Requested days off? and Idea?
Tsaaq: She went to follow behind him, looking behind them at Eli then jogged to catch up with Adam. "Are you okay Adam?" She asked in a gentle voice. "Is there anything I can do?"
Alexithymiaa: -He set his rag down on the table below the fixture, shaking his head at Bliss. "No, please. Tell me if there's anything -I- can do for you. Seriously, anything Bliss."-
Covet: Eli was trying to figure out what they were saying, but clearly had no idea because he couldn't read lips, but he was blatantly staring in their direction as he tried to figure it out all the same.
Tsaaq: Bliss put her hand on her chest and let out a giggle. "Oh, thank you. There's not much I can think of at the moment but I certainly do appreciate the gesture." She smiled at Adam. "You seem a little..." Bliss' words failed her. She only gestured her hands curling into a fist and her teeth gritting.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam watched her gestures and frowned, knowing he was being extremely transparent with his emotions. "I guess I am. Have you ever just been entirely surprised by someone's actions that you never thought would be that type of person?"-
Covet: Realizing he was gawking, Eli went about making it look like he was at least he was doing something to keep himself busy, but where he could still try to see if there were any clues about what the two of them were talking about.
Tsaaq: She nodded her head slowly. "Why yes... Because you expect so much better from them." She replied softly. "But you live and learn. And people surprise you in the worst ways. But they can surprise you in the best ways too." Bliss shrugged. "I still think about my father sometimes." She frowned, not really thinking about what Adam probably specifically meant.
Alexithymiaa: -He slid out from inside the booth, moving in front of Bliss to peer into her face since she looked upset. "Exactly. It's like them doing something that doesn't even directly impact you still feels like betrayal because you thought they were better than that." He elaborated just a bit, tipping his head to the side. "Is it just your father?"-
Covet: Eli wanted to get closer but unfortunately he had another customer come up to the counter and he went to help them check out as well, concerned by the looks on both of their faces, barely paying attention to what he was doing at the register.
Tsaaq: She rose her head once more and looked a bit taken aback. "Well, no. I've been disappointed by others in the past." Bliss told him. "But I'm fine." She reassured him.
Alexithymiaa: "I know. I'm sorry for that. You don't deserve to be treated that way. You deserve so much more than that." He said with a bit of a frown on his lips, shaking his head. "You know if you ever need to talk, I'm here for you, right?" He asked, grabbing the rag from the table to fold in his hands.-
Covet: Eli was finished with that customer and grabbed a broom, so he could get the floor swept up, working on the rest of the closing stuff since he had nothing else better to do immediately. He was trying to get close, but not too close, even if to catch a little bit of their conversation.
Tsaaq: She nodded her head with a bit of a perplexed expression."Thank you Adam. It's very kind of you to say that." She began to smile.  "Oh my yes of course..." Bliss replied. "And I hope you feel the same way."
Alexithymiaa: -He nodded his head. "I do. Thank you." He smiled at her genuinely before turning away so he could move onto the next booth, sliding inside and reaching up to wipe the dust off of the light fixture.-
Covet: Eli made his way around the floor, a permanent frown on his face as he waited to hear the verdict from Bliss. He took a deep breath and grabbed the dustpan to sweep up the pile of dirt he'd gathered.
Tsaaq: She smiled in return and walked away from him a moment and went up to Eli as she shrugged. "I'm not quite sure what's wrong..." She whispered to him
Alexithymiaa: -Stretching to clean the very top, he finished off that fixture and walked back behind the counter to stow away his rag and cleaner, directing his question only at Bliss. "What else would you like done before closing tonight?"-
Covet: "Did he make it seem like it was anything that I had done? What did you guys talk about?" He asked being nosey, then clammed up as he heard Adam ask a question. "Double check the bathrooms, then I think you're good to go for tonight, Man."
Tsaaq: "Well... He talked about how he wanted to make sure that I knew he supported me. And that I don't deserve to be hurt?" Bliss answered before putting her hands on her mouth a moment in realization. "Right." She said in addition to Eli.
Alexithymiaa: -Without a word to Eli, he turned around and headed off into the bathrooms, disappearing into the men's room so he could inspect to see if anything needed to be done prior to closing. He slipped a fresh roll of toilet paper onto the roll, checking the paper towel dispenser.-
Covet: Eli watched Bliss's expression, "What? What is it?" He said as he furrowed his brow looking at her face, trying to put the pieces together.
Tsaaq: But pursed her lips and looked over to Eli, taking his hand. "A few weeks ago I had the girls over for wine and well... I told them about the situation with Jade." She told him. "Hayley must've told him what happened. But everything is fine." She whispered.
Alexithymiaa: -Pleased with the state of the bathroom, Adam turned and stepped back out into the shop, looking at Bliss. "If it's alright with you, I'm going to clock out and head home. The bathrooms look good."-
Covet: "Ohhh... Oh...." He said then seemed to just kind of crumble into himself. "Right... His mood makes way more sense now." He gave a heavy sigh and gave Adam a wave, "Thanks... Have a good night. Get home safe." He said, in a defeated tone.
Tsaaq: "Goodnight Adam." Bliss said. She went to put her hand on Eli's shoulder after he said goodbye to Adam. She gave him a little squeeze in an attempt of comfort.
Alexithymiaa: "Thank you." He spoke in a soft voice, walking to the computer so he could go about clocking himself out. He pulled his keys from his pocket, stepping through the shop and heading outside and toward his truck so he could make his way home.-
Covet: Eli looked over at Bliss and took her hand placing a kiss on the back of it as Adam walked out. "I need to actually have a talk with him, I guess. I don't know what to say, aside from the fact that I have no excuses for my actions and that I'm trying everyday to make up for any and all of that." He said as he moved to start counting down the till for the night.
Tsaaq: She nodded her head. "I know. And you're doing a fine job." She told him gently as she went to kiss his lips gently before getting ready to close up and stuff.
