[02:37] <@Wackd> AREA was basically in charge of covering up aliens. Dr. Lagoon was their director
[02:37] <@Wackd> And he became goop by futzing around with secret alien tech
[02:38] <@Wackd> I've never been thrilled with that backstory for him anyway
[02:38] <maxwellelvis> Maybe it's like the Men In Black in Irregular Webcomic, and AREA insists there are no aliens TO THE ALIENS' FACES
[02:38] <Duraz> or maybe they're the predecessors to AEGIS
[02:38] <@Wackd> Could do. If folks are interested in making AREA work I'm not against it
[02:39] <@Wackd> These days I don't give them much thought outside doodling their insignia in notebooks and such
[02:39] <BeckChon> I like the idea of a sludge pile denying the existence of aliens
[02:40] <@Wackd> I dunno. I like him better as being sort of generally secretive, and congenial when it suits him. If he does have a backstory he's not gonna tell you anyway
