  1. [18:45] Ronin says, "I've been working on some means of accomplishing such, but I feel I can genuinely help."
  2. [18:45] Ronin says, "Wait... Thalia... That name...."
  3. [18:46] Ronin says, "I remember that name <*starts looking around*>"
  4. [18:47] Thalia glances toward those present and she gives an idle hum. "There's stalls here." She comments, then she points toward the East.
  5.
  6. "And you have to check with residency over in that district over there. We don't allow more buildings to muddle the area." Dropping her arm down by her side, she would glance toward Ronin, fiery gaze locking on him for a moment.
  7.
  8. "You're the one that I stopped that crazed Ookami from killing. The one I subsequently let down with execution because I didn't think he was capable of being saved." She murmurs as she closes her glowing eyes. Her belief systems still hadn't changed.
  9. (Thalia Elisheva)
  10. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  11.
  12. [18:48] Krevitz asks, "Are we talking about Yasuyoshi?"
  13. [18:50] Thalia Elisheva asks, "...Literally who?"
  14. [18:51] Krevitz says, "I heard crazed Ookami, seems to fit the description."
  15. [18:52] The conversation with Krevitz, although it was unfortunately taking a more depressing turn than he'd like, could wait. Instead, he started his approach and held a hand off to Krevitz.
  16.
  17. "No, she does not. It was something else. Someone else tried killing me years ago." He explained as he closed in, now passing Krevitz by.
  18.
  19. "She stopped him before he could mug and kill me, and executed him."
  20. Surely, he was happy to meet her all-the-same, but it wasn't as though they were family or close friends, so he didn't get too close.
  21.
  22. " Perhaps, you were right at the time. " He answered back to Thalia.
  23. "But since then, I've been working on my magic to circumvent such a need. I can save people now... I know it."
  24.
  25. He smiled, newfound determination juxtaposing from the hopeless sob that once stood in his clothes.
  26. " --and if possible, and you'd be interested? I'd be more than willing to showcase to you, how this is possible."
  27. (Ronin)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [18:55] You can't save everyone, Thalia.
  31.
  32. Gripping her gauntlet clad fist down by her side, she would give an idle hum as fire stems from arm, to shoulder, along her wings, into nothing but smoke in the air as she mulls it over. The crest of feathers atop of her head would press back a bit as she gave a small breath outwards, smoke curling through the air as she shrugged her shoulders. "If you have the time, the desire, the more to want to save people, I won't talk you out of it. I've seen a lot of bad done to good people to know that most people aren't worth the effort you're willing to place in them." She admits quietly as she shakes her head.
  33.
  34. "But please, go ahead and show me what you've learned, hm hm hm?"
  35. (Thalia Elisheva)
  36. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  37.
  38. [19:09] He couldn't help but smile...
  39. Finally, things were going to go full circle.
  40. Levengard was where he got his start -- Where his mission to invoke balance had commenced. This woman before him, started him on the life quest to save people from their own damnation -- To showcase Truth.
  41.
  42. He was not brainwashed by any outside party... No... All that mattered, was that he could accommodate his dream in the end. All else, merely assisted him in that goal.
  43.
  44. "Alright! If you wouldn't mind. Close your eyes, please." He asked of her, before glancing back to Krevitz.
  45. "I've taken up the study of time as of the recent."
  46.
  47. He eased himself, trying to keep from getting too excited.
  48. "Using my illusionary art to replicate the physical, and soon to warp the mental... But, when multiple elements combine, they create something new."
  49.
  50. " Illusion alone, on the battlefield can be practically harmless, but when manifested alongside gravitational manipulation, suddenly the falsified images manifested can emulate a sense of 'touch'. " He explained to both Krevitz and Thalia.
  51.
  52. " So, by extending Illusion with Time? " He reached out his right hand for the crest of feathers at Thalia's head. Though, nothing would come... Until he had actually physically touched her.
  53. It was with this, that reality as one had come to see it, blinked away.
  54.
  55. Ronin proceeded to explain what was happening as he carried out his display.
  56. " I can create a false reality within the minds of others, completely untied to time. "
  57.
  58. " Theoretically, I can give people entire lives to live, all within the span of seconds, minutes... Probably longer in reality's time. "
  59.
  60. Alas, from an alabaster sheet, illusion wrought forth a depiction of a day living in luxury. One without the need to train nor battle, but where one could dine and reside to nigh sinfuldelight. Where he did not aim to forge the minute details, he allowed the target's mind to fill -- As to keep from arousing suspicion from a mind that'd sought to break an obvious illusion.
  61.
  62. Perhaps, it was only a few seconds that Ronin would hold his physical touch, but the intent of his spell, was to drag on for perceived hours.
  63. The attempt was... Draining...
  64. He had only theorized and attempted this, few and far times in between.
  65. However, he was improving quickly, it seemed.
  66.
  67. "So... How was it?"
  68.
  69. Truly, Ronin didn't know what details Thalia's mind would plant about the illusion, assuming she didn't break it immediately. It was, his best of hopes that it kept to a pleasant experience -- Without invoking any painful memories along the way.
  70. (Ronin)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73. [19:25] Where there was unbridled joy, she didn't intend on wiping it away. If someone was proud of a technique, then so be it. A short breeze would roll through the area around them, and the short woman's crest of feathers collected a bit, straightening up in the air as if to express her sheer curiosity in the matter. Her head tilts, side to side as she listens to the words expressed to her.
  74.
  75. So, to allow someone to live a whole life in and of themselves... Through illusionary tactics? Her eyebrows knit together as she nods slowly in response.
  76.
  77. Yet, he reached out and touched upon the burning feathers that settled atop of her head, and she would give a momentary pause. A sharp breath comes to play as the glow from her eyes seems to dull in the moment. Metaphysical magic wasn't something that she did well with, especially given the hinged status of how her spiritual self had been battered, beaten, cut up, and bruised.
  78.
  79. A burning spiritual being would come alive from the girl's very back, lacking definition and form as it practically twisted against whatever confines there might have been set forth on it.
  80.
  81. Atesh did not like what transpired here.
  82.
  83. Yet, through some sheer force of will, the spiritual being would be held onto tightly as her eyes closed. The air around her grows suffocating as sheer napalm begins to spill just below her feet, body taking on a defensive stasis as she seems to grow lost to the illusionary tactics that had been employed upon her.
  84.
  85. Time would trudge on, and the time spent 'fantasizing' grew from seconds, to a minute, to nearly two minutes where her stasis remained.
  86.
  87. Yet, a hand lifts and she seemingly attempts to grasp at something, her fingers coming up with nothing as she cracks her eyes open, one lone word trickling from her lips: "Dad," her voice oozes out in exhaustion as she finds the glow beginning to recollect among her eyes, gaze drifting around the area as a sweat collects along her features, a bit of a stressed out look coming to her countenance. Lingering on the statue of Sera Elisheva in the distance, it took her a few moments before she moves her gaze back toward Ronin.
  88.
  89. "Huh?" She chimes it out in a bit of a distant, tired way. "Oh, it..." She smiles if only briefly. "Was good."
  90.
  91. It was a farfetched reality she couldn't have, something she could get lost to, easily. A hurt that even the spirit within her weapon wanted to protect her from.
  92.
  93. "It is a good alternative, mhm..."
  94. (Thalia Elisheva)
  95. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  96.
  97. [19:35] To say, the attempt did not grow intimidating to him - Was an understatement. To think this was exhausting him, when he could've stepped away for his own safety, made him question his own intelligence.
  98. Perhaps, he was truly foolish -- Ambitious souls had their limits after all.
  99.
  100. It was getting hot in a far from pleasant way. He tried to play it off, but the first degree burns were slowly settling in. He winced, determined to see this through to the end.
  101. He had to... This was his vision, his dream: A chance to finally change the world, in his own way -- One mind at a time.
  102.
  103. Ronin heard her utterance, and his heart sank a bit.
  104. He truly wanted to believe that he was doing something good, but alas, he likely invoked something that could've turned for the worse.
  105.
  106. Her wandering eyes were followed, to find the statue, before looking back to her in silence.
  107. He wasn't going to ask outright, the concerned expression on his face asked the question for him.
  108.
  109. "I... I was hoping it could pacify villains... Wrongdoers, and even convince others to sway to another point of view." He explained.
  110.
  111. "Perhaps, if I get strong enough, I can invoke entire lives as theorized, and improve quality of life, everywhere... Allow people to live memories through to their better end. Many of us have unfortunate twists and turns in life, but through my work, I can fix it. It may be unrealistic at face-value, but..." He stopped, feeling as though he was treading further than he needed to.
  112.
  113. She already seemed to approve of it.
  114. He glimpsed back to Krevitz, hoping he'd at least inquire of his actions and monologue, and then back to Thalia.
  115. " Well, uuh… " He was lost as to how to continue this conversation -- Not much of the conversationalist, obviously.
  116.
  117. (Ronin)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [19:41] Luna Invidia asks, "Oh, pardon me. Do you know someone who can help me with obtaining two permits?"
  121. [19:42] "I think it'll do well for that," she says quietly as she looks in the direction of the boy standing there. There was no particular pacifying someone like her, but there was giving glancing moments of warmth and the need for someone there that she craved.
  122.
  123. Even then, she couldn't have the actual parental bond she wanted. Instead, she was given solace with someone who wanted to make a family with her.
  124.
  125. Glancing over toward the man across the way, she would soon dart her gaze over toward Luna as she straightened herself up.
  126.
  127. "Permits?"
  128. (Thalia Elisheva)
  129. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
