- [11:23] Barry Garrick says, "I noticed you snatched up the lighthouse in Dal'Thala."
- [11:39] Yvelle Vacerayne says, "-ah. Sorry about that. Yes, I did so."
- [11:40] Barry Garrick says, "Neat, I was thinking about grabbing it myself, mainly to try and sell back to them..."
- [11:41] Yvelle Vacerayne says, "I think that it was once a shrine to some Shengese deity."
- [11:41] Yvelle Vacerayne says, "They likely don't care much - they let rent drop."
- [11:42] Barry Garrick says, "That whole district seems like a waste, really."
- [11:43] Yvelle Vacerayne says, "I've never seen one person enter that large manor. I almost wish I knew what it was for, lest I make an offer to buy the thing... one person in it is better than none."
- [11:43] Thrim Underforged asks, "Aight then! Let us get to work. Ar' ya ready, Yvelle?"
- [11:45] Yvelle Vacerayne says, "I am quite ready - at least when you are."
- [11:50] Hearing the young Faeborne's words, the dwarf clapped both hands together before heaving himself to his feet. Dusting off his robes, he then made his way to a nearby room, where the forge was located - all the while, gesturing for her to follow him.
- As needed, since she was participating in this..
- Indeed.
- When he arrived at the place, a stone brick was separated.. Which was finally touched by the artisan's hands - who began.. Molding the middle of it, breaking it in two and working on the shape! To that of what would it be..
- From a flute, since that was the casing for it!
- "Aight, in today's stage we will work tha basics.. Meltin' materials and then, formin' tha base structur' tha' we will use." An explanation was provided as he worked.
- His care was clear, present attention and remarkable talent - as he did detail by detail, in order to have the best final product! Since it was for a customer.
- (Thrim Underforged)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:56] … she'd never really thought about the concept of having to get hands on in her own weapon's craftwork. For some reason, her mind had absentee'd itself into thinking that she wouldn't have an active hand in any of this work, that she could drop it off and let it be done.
- With that said, Yvelle Vacerayne vastly preferred this outcome to the alternate.
- "I'm fairly sure that melting's not my thing," the Faeborne comments blithely, ducking into the doorway - and having to practically crouch, given her height compared to the building she happens to be standing in. "But I suppose there's no harm in trying."
- There's still a stare of fascination as he separates out that stone brick, molds the middle of it, breaks it in two, carves out a shape-
- -wow. He's really doing that with his bare hands.
- Impressive.
- "Do you need me to hold anything, then?"
- (Yvelle Vacerayne)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:06] Even as a customer, it was nice to participate. Thrim knew that, knew the importance of having a presence - a part in building something new and unique that would be with a person for so long, as in this case, probably.
- Unless the thing was stolen.. Should not happen, but it is always a thing that can happen.
- Now.. As he did his share of the work, since he was the earthmancer and could shape stone, he nodded in her direction.
- "First, separate the Prismithium and Arcanium ores!
- Two chunks of Arcanium, three of Prismithium - ya can find thes' in tha' chest." A pause came, he pointed towards the storage and then, continued - "Put them in a metallic pot, so we can melt them together.. To make the mixture.
- There should be one near the forge." He informed, while then preparing for something.
- What?
- Simple! Lighting the furnace, which was normally his brother's job, but this one was sleeping - so, that was all he could do, prepare for it, wasn't it? Certainly.
- But now.. He focused on finishing creating the casing they would use, something that did not take much longer until he finished and once that was done.. He placed this one upon the anvil and then, collected coal! With his bare hands, starting to toss it into the furnace.
- As needed.
- "To melt tha materials, we'll need heat - I do recommend protectin' yerrself when this occurs." As the heat could ba dangerous! But, it is something she wouldn't have a problem with - being able to control her body temperature with ice, mist - certainly.
- Most likely.
- (Thrim Underforged)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:14] Well, that was the thing about weapons like this, wasn't it? People would steal ones that were unique, sure - swords and axes and staves - but a flute was something that not everyone could take the time out of their life to learn.
- It was a sign of dedication to a craft. To knowing you were a cut above the rest, even if it would distract from the banter you wished to ensue.
- "Arcanium and prisminthium… yeah." He points towards the storage; she goes to rifle through it, hands already organizing and moving ores around as she pulls out each ore. They're treated delicately; a movement is made to find that metallic pot.
- Clank. Clonkclonk. Clonk. Clank.
- Two chunks of arcanium. Three of prisminthium. Into the crucible they go as the furnace is lit - although she's asking a lot of questions there, watching as the coal is tossed in with bare hands.
- Yvelle steps away from the forge when the mention of protecting herself is there; almost as if on call, mist is conjured up in front of her like a cooling fan, acting like a field.
- "I imagine this'll be quite the heat," she comments, seeming confused about why it requires this much protection. "The melting points couldn't be that high, right?"
- (Yvelle Vacerayne)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:24] After arranging the first patch of charcoal, Thrim covered himself in a thick layer.. of earth, almost metallic in appearance - which protected his body like armor!
- It was going to be needed, he was not joking.
- Before finally, using a flint to.. Light the forge! Which should and would slowly catch fire, before then receive more and more fuel - they were doing it the original way.
- So it was expected to need a lot of fuel for that.
- "Tha last time I melted prismithium, it ended up needin' an absurd temperatur'! Due to this elemental abilities, which drain, absorve the flames.
- So? We need a lot of heat to avoid it." And so he continued to feed the furnace, until there came a point when the whole room, the whole Cafofo started to get..
- To an unbearable temperature, without protection.
- "Aight.. Almost ther'." The dwarf said, before finally.. Get the pot - using tongs for that! Holding them tightly and then leading to the fire.
- Holding tightly over it, with the calm and skill of a proficient craftsman.
- "Prepar' tha mold, we'll need to be quick to get it into this one when it's ready! As tha materials will cool down quickly afta tha act." A nod from him followed, he continued to cast charcoal through elemental manipulation.
- As necessary! Until they reached the melting point, of turning that into liquid.

- [13:26] … that's a lot of fuel. That's- a lot of fuel. Yvelle even starts to get worried after a little bit; her face contorts into a rather remarkable grimace as the heat continues growing.
- "I would think it would melt easier, but-" She pauses in her own comment; there's a choking feeling in the back of her throat, in the burial of her own lungs, as that thick layer of armor from Thrim begins to make a lot more sense. He feeds the furnace more and more.
- It starts to become unbearable.
- Having not been prepared enough for the fact that they were standing in a literal fucking oven, the Vacerayne finds herself melting into mist as to cope with the heat; half-there hands prepare the mold, held in place with ice melting and reforming in a rapid decaying-regrowing cycle.
- That's how to prepare it, right? That's how to position it - where to hold it, where to gently cradle it. Yes, that seems about right. "I believe that we're ready over here," the Faeborne calls, her voice half-whispered from the effect of that lingering effect. She seems to be sweating from the bits that're present - but at least she's not overheating.
- "This is burning hot. How long 'til it cools?" By this, she probably means the hut.
- (Yvelle Vacerayne)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:38] Having grown up around forges, as since his youth he helped with work - heat was part of the Dwarf's everyday life! So, when the heat came to him - he even felt a certain.. notalgia? So! He was in better conditions, if one were to compare to Yvelle, she wasn't prepared!
- Of course it was bad for the dwarf too, but he was hardheaded. He put up with it, as that was a low price for a job well done! And at least, she was protecting herself with magic.
- Ice and the like.
- Now.. As time went by, the material began to melt for the first time.. And the dwarf smiled! The rocks that covered him moving to form the smile! Yet.. These, notably degrading given the temperature, yet always reforming given his manipulation.
- "Ay, this lookin' good!" His voice echoed, muffled as he worked..
- And so, more time passed and now the metal was already bubbling into a puddle! More charcoal had been added and truth be told, this was a sauna, only worse.. Yet, was working.
- As..
- It did indeed melt the mixture of Arcanium and Prismithium! Which was then removed from the fire with extreme caution, "Tha Mold!" He exclaimed and when Yvelle brought it to him, he would start pouring the mixture into it.
- (Thrim Underforged)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:47] Yvelle is used to muggy conditions - and even then, that's loose. She's been living in a magical forest, after all; such a thing is foreign to her, especially given the geographical location of it all. It's a comfortable location!
- This is not. There's ice; there's mist, mostly, as her feet and legs remain in those sorts of puddles. It's keeping her short enough to fit comfortably into the area, too; the rocks degrade and reform, and the charcoal bubbles and the worse sauna continues...
- When he exclaims for the mold, there's a shift over towards him - the metal is poured in, and misty hands evaporate and reform with just that lingering sense of pain, ice forming just enough armor to hold it steady.
- Just enough.
- She's still going to invest in heatproof gloves after this, holy shit.
- "It could be looking worse! We could be dead," the Faeborne comments with a yell.
- That's a serious comment.
- This is a life-threatening forging.
- (Yvelle Vacerayne)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [13:58] If it was bad now, it's because she didn't see it in their last project.. That in addition to basic things, magic was used to increase fire more and more to amounts that were really dangerous!
- To indeed reach the power of magma.
- But, that was all for something, it all worked! As the metallic mixture took the form of the mold, which was then closed and promptly placed in an area to cool safely.. To take the shape they needed.
- To work further in the future.
- With a clap of his hands after this, bricks in the ceiling would open and thus give one more opening for the temperature to escape - something that could be pleasant, perhaps, for the faeborne!
- "Maybe, maybe not.. Ya should see wha' ma people's forges ar' like, we make them in tha depths of tha world - next to pockets of concentrated magma!
- It's extremely hot.
- Howeve', many Stone Folk work daily close to it." He smiled as his defenses fell away..
- And the floor was dirty with earth, stones and the like!
- "Anyway.. Naw it's time to wait for it to cool down for tha next step, meanwhile we have two things to do! Collect water crystals and refine them.
- For lata use." And here would be the next step in their project, "But for naw, we can rest.. Good job, ya do make a good assistant of forge, just like ma cousin!
- I do miss him." A pat on the shoulder was given to Yvelle, who looked a little changed..
- Certainly.
- But per hour? Thrim would go sit down! And drink something.
- (Thrim Underforged)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:01] … yep!
- Yvelle does look a little different - although it's a relief to coalesce back into reality, a little stringier and a little taller, as Thrim vents out the heat through the bricks in the ceiling.
- She stretches once, twice; there's still that sort of crouched gesture, antlers having to remain in their misty form in order to do things like get through basic doorways. It's rather comedic to watch her going about it in that way; there's a blink, a polite smile offered.
- "I do not think that it would suit me well," the Faeborne finally decides; there's a curtsy, the mention of water crystals coming to the forefront. "I'll be on my way soon enough, I think- but how many crystals will we need, then? Gathering them shouldn't be too hard, yes?"
- There's definitely an offer there to go and gather them all herself like some kind of masochist.
- (Yvelle Vacerayne)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:04] Going to a barrel, two mugs were taken and a drink.. Partially heated, it was served! For both, due to the hospitality of the dwarves.. He was going to serve for the two of them.
- As expected.
- The mug was placed in front of him on the table and offered to Yvelle, before he said, "We'll be makin' five concentrated crystals - so we'll need fifty for tha'." The information was given before he started drinking.
- It wasn't something that bothered him, the temperature.
- "But sur', safe travels miss Yvelle.
- Do.. Com' back anotha time to talk and then, for us to continue on with tha work." A thumbs up was given, before finally the dwarf fell silent.
- (Thrim Underforged)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:04] * You have been awarded 4 Levels! *
- [14:07] She does take the mug - there's a sitting down as she glugs it down, not even a drop falling away from her where it might be wasted. I mean, come on, there's definitely some dehydration there.
- Sure. It's slightly warm.
- It's still a drink.
- "Fifty crystals, then," Yvelle nods. "I'll begin that part." Perhaps it would be something not easily offered - but it helped that there were some creatures that gave them up rather easily over in Delphina, as if meant to provide her with an easy passageway there.
- There's a hesitance before she stands once more, wobbling. "Lora meni'al, Thrim. Stay safe out there. There are all manners of creatures about." One last wave is offered in response to that thumbs up before she departs.
- The dwarf now gets to take his afternoon nap.
- All according to plan.
- (Yvelle Vacerayne)
