Title: Brown research

February 13th.

With the Valentine's Day being a day away, the world is filled with sweet scents and various sentiments mixed together and is bustling with great activity.

However, in the academy the animals go to, the wild excitements of the public have no relevance to this.

Well, except for some of them.

Lanka:
"Sorry for the wait!"

Having been summoned, Lanka goes to the empty classroom after class hours.

In an empty classroom where there are no chairs nor tables, Miyubi, Yukari and the responsible for calling them in, Mei-Mei, are waiting for her with an unusual expression on their faces.

Mei-Mei:
"You're late, Lanka.
Only Kurumi's left."

Yukari:
"To be honest, I don't think she'll come."

Mei-Mei:
"Right! Then let's get started.
Yukari, do you know what day tomorrow is?"

Yukari:
"Eh? Tomorrow... Valentine's Day?"

Mei-Mei:

We're going to make some chocolate to give Jin!"

"Valentine's Day is an event where the females convey their feelings to the males by giving them chocolate."

Lanka:
"Eh. By the way, what is chocolate?"

Yukari:
"Do I really have to take it from there?
Chocolate is one kind of sweets.
They're sweet and brown, they can be either hard or soft, well, they're pretty much p*..."

Mei-Mei:
"Stop right there, Yukari! Besides, Lanka can't eat them or she'll die."

Lanka:
"I'll die!?"

Yukari:
"But Valentine's Day aside, I wonder how we're going to give Jin some chocolate?
I can't imagine him being happy to get chocolate from us..."

Mei-Mei:

Mei-Mei points at Yukari.

"Who cares about love the way the humans show!
We just want to prove ourselves superior to Jin who's been looking down on us lately by making chocolate great enough to strike him dumb! Fong-Fong!"

Mei-Mei speaks proudly and snaps her fingers.

In reaction, Fong-Fong brings in a tank large enough to completely fit several large beasts.

Inside the tank, filled to the brim, is a large quantity of chocolate.

Mei-Mei:
"This is chocolate from a first-rate maker. We've also got many toppings ready."

And so, the toppings to decorate the chocolate such as fresh cream, cookie doughes, cocoa, matcha powder, dry fruits are brought here.

Mei-Mei:
"Let's prepare the best chocolate!"

Lanka:
"Alright, let's do our best and give Jin yummy chocolat as a present!"

Miyubi:
"Yes... let's."

Yukari:
"I don't really feel like giving Jin-san chocolate but I guess I'll do it anyway."

Put on a momentum by Mei-Mei, everyone starts making their own chocolate.

"I want to surprise Jin..." In the middle of everyone working while coming up with something with this feeling in their mind,

Miyubi:

Unexpectedly the first one to finish up is Miyubi.

Green powder is put on the surface of the chocokate kneaded into bite size, making the coloring nice and the food look delicious.

Mei-Mei:
"Heh, matcha chocolate sure looks refined, doesn't it?
Bravo, Miyubi!"

Miyubi:

Mei-Mei:
"Rejected! Imagine maling a human eat it!"

Yukari:
"Guess it can't be helped, I'll show the example."

That said, Yukari shows them the heart-shaped chocolate.

Not only the form but also the decoration are superb, her workmanship puts the ones sold at markets to shame.

Mei-Mei:
"Not too bad from Yukari. The scent of shit... wait, isn't that p**p?

Yukari looks like she's calmly looking at the dish before her eyes but she looks at some distance with a drool at the corner of her mouth.

A big noise of something falling down echoes.
They take a look at it to see Miyubi who collapsed.

It looks like she died from the stench.

Lanka:
"Miyubiii!"

Mei-Mei:
"Aaah, you couldn't even make a piece of chocolate together, it's not good."

Yukari is offended by Mei-Mei who makes an exasperated gesture.

Yukari:
"If you say so, Mei-Mei-san, what kind of amazing chocolate did you make?"

Mei-Mei:
"Huhuhuh, take a good look at this!
Fong-Fong!"

Mei-Mei shows her composure to the incitating Yukari.

Then Fong-Fong brings in a cart with something on it. That looks like a brown mannequin at a glance but,

"Wh-whoa..."

The clubmembers, upon realizing it, pull away from it a bit.

That's a true-to-life chocolate that faithfully replicates Mei-Mei in appearance and size.

Mei-Mei:
"How's it? The Mei-Mei chocolate made faithfully after my body to the detail!"

Yukari:
"...that certainly is great but this feels like you rely too much on money and that makes me sick."

Mei-Mei:
"Fufun, you're just making excuses. Oh right, how about painting our naked bodies in chocolate? Don't you think it'd make us popular with Jin, not to mention other males?"

Yukari:
"There's just no way we'd do something that perverted!
You too, Lanka-san, say something... Lanka-san?"

Lanka:
"Popular... with the males... popular..."

Yukari is indigned at Mei-Mei who giggles in excitement.

But Lanka's acting strangely.
She keeps muttering with a serious face.

Lanka:
"Say, Mei-Mei, being popular means a lot of animals will gather here, right?"

Mei-Mei:
"L-Lanka? Wai, what's wrong with you? You're too scary!"

Lanka:
"If we become popular, the males will be on their way here!
Then the pack will become bigger!

Lanka shouts it out of excitement.

In her head, she imagines everyone from the cooking club with their naked bodies wrapped in ribbon and painted with chocolate, Jin boldly smiling in the middle of them, and the boys lining up naked behind them.

Mei-Mei:

Lanka:

Yukari realizes it. She firmly gripped the tank in the spur of the moment due to the fear from being driven to the corner.

Before the koala's grip power of over one ton, breaking a tank is tantamount to breaking a twig.

The tank breaks open and a large quantity of chocolate pours out in a flood.

"Hello, Jin-kun. It's been a while."

Kurumi suddenly shows up there.

Jin:
"How rare of you, shitty cat. What do you wa... h-hey!"

Kurumi:
"Come with me. I'll give you some chocolate."

She sudddenly grabs Jin's hand and takes him out of the classroom.

Kurumi takes him to the empty classroom where chocolate was being made yesterday.

Jin:
"What's this intense chocolate scent...?"

The door's closed but a sweet scent leaks into the corridor.

Jin's filled with the feeling of having a bad feeling about this and wanting to go back but Kurumi refuses to let go of his hand by all means.

The moment he reluctantly opens the door, Jin stands still speechless.

There, the whole floor is painted in brown, and Lanka and the others are seen naked and covered in chocolate in the middle of it.

The scene of them reaching out a hand to him to plead for help with a tortured expression on their faces looks just like it comes straight from hell.

Jin:
"...I knew it, they can't even manage to make chocolate."

Jin sighs, completely flabbergasted.
